the food, although expensive, was very good, but I had the hardest time understanding our waiter's
speeches, which were completely unnecessary. Why is it that the waiter always sticks their preferences and all what "they like"? I actually do not care at all about that, and I can, indeed, decide what I'l like to eat.

They always make the dining experience wonderful, with the picture frame and gift of a photo to take home. And the pinapple upside down cake and candle are so special for the birthday person.

We had a lovely time. The food was great as usual. I just love the Hawaiian martini's and the Ribs appetizer. I had the Sea bass and it was delicious.

We "discovered" Roy's when we visited Hawaii several years ago, and have loved it ever since. We've eaten at the ones in Oahu, San Diego, and Bonita Beach, FL, and have always enjoyed our meals.

This was our first time to the Baltimore location and, as always, Roy's did not disappoint. The food was spectacular -- my wife and I split the Parmesan-Crusted Cod special, my son ordered the MahiMahi with Crab special, and my daughter ordered a steak. All topped off by Creme Brûlée and flourless Chocolate Soufflé for desert -- wonderful. My daughter needs to eat gluten free and Roy's has an excellent variety of GF menu items.

All in all, it was a fantastic meal and a wonderful experience. Thank you, Roy's!

Hadn't been to ROy's for a few years due to decline of food but they sent a coupon for 25.00 off, so decided to try once again. lobster bisque not edible, laden with a pepper taste. sent back. ribeye steak with bone was so full of grizzle that i took it home for the dogs to enjoy. Every bite was a chewing contest that ended up in my napkin. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!The only thing that was good was the pineapple martini which helped in not complaining about the steak. I have learned that this restaurant no longer has the high standards it once had. Food was just aweful.

We made a reservation weeks in advance and when we arrived at 7pm (our reservation time) we stood around for 20 minutes waiting to be seated. We couldn't even sit at the bar because it was so crowded, and standing near the bar waiting for our table wasn't fun because the bar was SO LOUD. When we were finally seated our server Mike was great but the kitchen brought out food out way to early -- our waiter hadn't even had time to get our wine. The kitchen and food runners need to time their delivery better so that the parts of our meal arrived correctly. We sat at the table not touching our food because we didn't want to start eating without our wine. The food was got was good but nothing outstanding. We were so disappointed that we only ordered one course of food and then left.

Overall, good experience, energetic city location. 2 concerns: they had lost heat and the bar area was chilly. Two, server disappeared for a long stretch; otherwise she was good.

Asked the hostess what her favorite dish was (don't ask the servers because they push what the kitchen tells them) and she was spot on. The Macademia Nut Encrusted Mahi Mahi was very, very good. I was also pleasantly surprised with a starter of edimame. It had a nice spicy seasoning sprinkled on top. I wish it were just a tad bit brighter at the table. It was a little hard to read the menu without pulling out my cell phone. Still, that made it nice for the couple that were there together. Service was great and food was great. Nice experience.

Food and service are very good. Atmosphere is pleasant ' but very noisy even though the place was less than half full. This is not an inexpensive $ restaurant as advertised. Two entrees splitting both an appetizer and dessert with coffee and iced tea was over $100!

Two of us shared 3 different appetizers -- blackened ahi, lobster potstickers, and sezhuan spareribs. Those 3 dishes, with a bottle of wine, and a shared pineapple upside down cake with vanilla ice cream, were plenty to eat. Enjoyed the variety.

Enjoy coming to the restaurant in the Canton area of Baltimore. Try the Parmesan Crusted Hake! A beautiful fish dish served with a potato libster risotto that's amazing. This is a busy place make sure you reserve early. Also let them know if your celebrating a special occasion. Be sure to try either one of their specialty desserts - the pineapple upside down cake with coconut ice cream is wonderful and big enough to share.

this was a business dinner and the noise level was so high everyone was shouting and was difficult to have a conversation with the person across the table. I was anxious to finish dinner and leave. The tables were also positioned very close. The food and service was good.

A great dining experience overall! Super friendly staff, from welcome at the door to wonderful server, Kristen. The sea bass and ahi tuna were absolutely amazing--we also tried the tempura ahi (great!) and the chicken samosa (a bit oily) for appetizers. Compliments to the chef, Mr. Ellis, and his fine establishment.

From the intricate detailed service to the kid memories of confetti reminding me of my bday, Michael our server was, spot on. My partner & I enjoyed every moment spent at your restaurant. He had a great sense of humor about my Hennessey joke. The special touch of presenting my Molten Lava cake with a photo of us blew us us away. Its in our home framed. Not to mention from app to dinner was beyond delicious. I work for a 4 star independent hotel in the downtown Baltimore area and had the I pleasure to speak to your hospitality manager Friday evening and I will definitely be sending business your way being the Concierge GSA. Thank you Megan & Michael for a good start of my bday. Sorry Megan for the peppermill work out 😉

Roy's is one of my favorite restaurants for the simple reasons of great food and service, which never disappoints. They now have a chef's selection menu added to their regular menu which will change often and only fresh seasonal ingredients. Many restaurants are going to more of a farm to table option and glad to see a chain doing the same thing. The Kung Pao calamari on the seasonal menu was delicious and just the right kick of heat. The butterfish is always a good choice as is the trio for they know how to cook fish here as it is always moist and flavorful but not swimming in sauce.
This was an 35th anniversary celebration, out 4th in a row there and they could not have been more accommodating and gracious to us.

I've been here quite a few times making a reservation with every visit. Each time I'd show up on time but i would have to wait for what I think is to long to be seated. I've even watched people come in after but get seated before me.
