Every thing was good .. the food was excellent!
nice experience 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Beat Indian restaurant in London!
I book a table from the application, but when I arrived they told me no reservation under my name!!!
I really liked it 👌🏼 the location is in the heart of London
Best Indian restaurant ever
Excellent dining location. This is not your local Indian establishment, this is beautifully made food, carefully thought out, deftly executed, perfectly balanced in flavour. I had the lamb, which was tender and lightly spiced. The orange zest naan was a revelation. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
Always very good - both upstairs and downstairs. the service, food and atmosphere are always very good, making us eager to return.
the downstairs full restaurant has great ambiance, good service and a really creative take on classic Indian food. we had a great meal!
Once I sat down the service was absolutely wonderful. However I really want to bring to your attention the attitude of one waitress who greeted me at the door. When she said my reservation was for 6, I simply corrected her and stated that it was in fact for 6.30 and that I had the email and notification on Open Table to prove the sale. She was extremely rude and stand off-ish and even walked away when I had not even finished my sentence. Absolutely put off by get service however the service downstairs was much better and enjoyable.
I do however respectfully request that you check the waitresses greeting customers at the main desk because if I had not had a better experience downstairs I can assure you this review would have been worse and I would be writing about it on my social media.
Excellent quality Indian food. Service was attentive but not overly so. This first visit was a delight.
Great place. Casual
Excellent food every time. It's the only restaurant where I choose something new on the menu every time because everything is consistently good.
The seasonal pav bhaji was smelly and inauthentic but the other food and chai are good. The service was slow but the staff is super friendly.
You simply have to go. The food and also cocktails were amazing. Service could definitely be better but the cuisine made up for it.
Wonderful meal, great wine list, excellent service can’t wait to go back
amazing food, happy to serve staff.
The food here is outstanding! Whilst it might not be authentic Indian food, the flavours are exceptional. Definite highlight of our visit to London
Great food. More vegan options would be good.
Flovorfull. Lamb was nice
Amazing food and some of the best service I have had in London - better than much more upscale restaurants in London. Our table was slightly delayed and the bartender took it upon himself to offer our party free drinks while we waited. Lovely waiter at the table as well who gave us great suggestions on the menu. Super recommended and will be back!
Great good. Creative twist that makes it more interesting. Love it there and will definitely be going back.
The food was simply delicious! The lamb shank and Malabar shrimp were our favorite dishes. I'll recommend it to all my friends.
The food didnt taste good, lacked flavour! Ordered paneer and it didnt even taste like paneer. When a restaurant has a few dishes on the menu they are supposed to be exceptional dishes of high quality but this was a let down! The street kitchen food is a 1000 times better upstairs!
Best butter chicken I tried in London, 100% recommend.
Food is well flavoured however not quite spicy enough for me. In saying that the chilli chutney does the trick. The food is well worth the price, and most of the staff were really lovely and happy to answer any questions we had. I did however find the staff serving drinks a little slow, and in some instances a little rude when I ordering another bottle for the table. Otherwise, couldn't fault it.
Have visited twice, first time the food was absolutely tasty with flavours. Second time bland food nothing great whatsoever, not impressed.
Food was very nice, prawns in the starters was delicious
Excellent taste. Authentic Indian food. Good service.
Need to do better service. Waiters are not attentive, forgetful and at times lazy.
I really enjoyed my meal. Come hungry because you’ll want to try everything! The service was amazing and very accommodating and friendly. The dining room fills quickly so a reservation is important if you hope to experience ding here! Enjoy!
The first time I came here I was in the upstairs street food area and the food was fantastic. I booked this time the dining room as I wanted to make sure I could bring my partner to experience Indian food outside the usual curry from the local takeaway. Unfortunately, the dining room has a separate menu and it doesn't quite hit the spot in comparison to the upstairs street food menu.
I understand the concept of two separate dining experiences, however, the dining room left quite a lot to be desired in terms of food taste.
I would suggest that allowing diners in the dining room to also order some of the most popular bites from the street food menu would solve this problem rather than offering them to queue and wait for a table upstairs and then come and perhaps have enough time to fulfil their reservation.
We ended up ordering very little and eating very quickly as there was little that caught our eye on the dining room menu. A shame as last time I went I spent a lot more and ate a whole lot more, enjoyed the food a great deal more too.
Again, I understand the concept but one would expect the food to match the standard of the taste levels experienced upstairs, perhaps even exceed them?
Highly recommend the street food style menu in the no-reservation upstairs but cannot recommend the dining room.
Very unsual and unique menu choices... food was to an excellent standard
Combined with lovely ambience and lovely service!
Good ambience and decent taste but food pricey for the portions.
Another excellent meal at Roti Chai!
Food taste and value for money was not desirable
Very nice meal, decent service.
I’ve been here before many times but this time I brought someone who had not been and it was a let down.
The drinks order was taken as were our starters and our drinks turned up midway of us having our starters. The food comes out extremely quickly so you feel pressured to eat fast as the waitresses clear plates up as you eat - this happened during starters and main course.
The starters themselves were great, cannot fault that, but the main course was a let down. The saag ghosht was just watery saag with bits of lamb in there, and the butter chicken was no different.
Again the main course only came out later when we told the waitress to give us 10-15 minutes so we could actually relax a bit, but I was not impressed being a regular visitor this time.
Me and my friends had a good time. The food was nice. Loved the prawns.
The food is really good and the staff are very friendly.
A good value for money Indian restaurant in a rather expensive part of town. We went into the dining room and went for the Feast menu. This menu offered more and interesting choices, the portions were ample though I would have liked some more naan bread and the food was tasty. The service was discreet but helpful and the wine list was adequate. The ambience was a little on the dark side but still quite pleasant. We will happily return again.
