   Just want to make clear- even though the website has a brunch menu, this restaurant is actually essentially the breakfast for the hotel. There is only a buffet available. The food is similar quality to that of a Holiday Inn Express.

   we were there for Sunday brunch. our waitress was great- attentive and fast. Definitely do the omelets - they were really good. some of the items were very low inventory and didn't seem to get replaced quickly, but all was yummy. the macrons were phenomenal!

   The breakfast buffet during Sunday brunch is delicious. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, grits, a very generous fruit bar as well as made to order omelettes are available.

   The Mothers day Brunch was wonderful today! They had a little of everything you could imagine! Including a carving station, jumbo shrimp, smoked salmon. Dinner items and every breakfast food. Dessert table too

    We always enjoy eating at the Roost. Everything is quality. Best variety of cuisine followed by the best service. We love eating here and it is a regular place we love to eat. Delicious!

    We chose Roost for Mother’s Day brunch. Our reservation was right at the beginning of the brunch. Yet much of the breakfast food seemed to have been sitting out for two long. The French toast wasn’t fresh, the oatmeal was watery and the bacon was burnt. The biscuit and gravy were the saving grace. For the lunch foods: The chicken was dry and burnt. After an hour, it was still not replaced or replenished. I finally requested more chicken. It was not well seasoned and one piece I got was not cooked all the way through. The fried okra was mushy and the Mac and cheese was so dry it clumped. Very disappointed in the quality of the food. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

    I recently dined at Roost for a pre-Mother's Day dinner and it was great. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious.The drinks were also top-notch and perfectly complemented the meal. I highly recommend Roost to anyone visiting Greenville, SC - you won't be disappointed! 🍽️🍸👌

    We went for lunch. They only offered sandwiches and a few salads. The quality of the food is just no longer there. It was disappointing. The only good thing about this experience was our server. She was phenomenal. Unfortunately, it's not a place I will go back to.

    I would not eat here. The food was not good. My salmon was dried out and had no flavor. The flatbreads tasted like they were in box, frozen and then warmed up. We had wings for appetizers- dried out. These were last minute reservations, everywhere else in downtown GVL was booked. This place was not full at all which should have been a clue that the food is not that good. We will not be returning at all.

    The brunch buffet is lacking for $25 a person. They used to have a menu with a bunch of different brunch dishes, and their website doesn't reflect that brunch is buffet only. It was ok.

    The server was amazing and eating on the patio was a delight. The entrées' were sub-par however. My chicken was tough and dry and my wife's spinach fettuccine was ok, but nothing to make us want to order it again. With their entrée selection so limited, unfortunately I don't think I'll give this another chance.

    Roost has fallen off our list of downtown restaurants, sadly. When first we patronized Roost, the food was excellent as was the service. The last two times we have been there both have suffered, although our server yesterday evening was wonderful. Perhaps a new chef?

    Shout out to Carolyn for being great and attentive server. We enjoyed Easter brunch so much more because of her. I was recommended brunch at Roost by a friend and will definitely recommend to others. As well as be back for brunch and other meals!

    We went to Roost for the Easter buffet. We previously went to the Thanksgiving buffet and were impressed. Huge variety of hot foods, both lunch and breakfast foods. The salad bar is amazing, and my husband loves the seafood table.

    The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean and had an inviting atmosphere. It was easy to converse… not too loud at all. To be honest, the shrimp and grits were not good… the ham and shrimp were very tough and over cooked, and the overall flavor was bland. The tacos and chocolate cake were pretty good. Overall, I didn’t feel like the entrees were worth the prices, but because I enjoyed the other aspects of the restaurant, I’d be willing to give it another try.

    Seated immediately with a reservation during a very busy time before the March Madness Elite Eight basketball game down the street. Everyone we interacted with (waiter, bar manager, restaurant manager) had a great attitude, outstanding customer service and facilitated a fun atmosphere. When things go wrong, that makes all the difference. With different personnel and personalities, this dinner could have gone very poorly but even after a series of mishaps (served wrong entree, never received dessert that was ordered, etc.), we still left satisfied and with a smile on our faces and for that reason, we will be back!
