    We had reservations but received a call day of reservations indicating there had been an error and the restaurant had been bought out for the evening but our table of 8 was missed in the block-off. We were moved to an open area in the lobby and provided comp meals for the inconvenience. The food was good but the service and lack of attention not very good. I can’t blame the bartender who was given our table at the last minute for the lack of service. She did her best. The bar was packed with another company Christmas get-together and she was working double duty. We had our reservations on the books for several weeks. Why it took until the day of to realize there was a problem created most of the issue and that is on management of Roost. Just a number of little things missing that would have made our evening more enjoyable.

    Roost has most often been a favorite of ours for cocktails (thanks, Bobby!) so it was a treat to come for a Sunday brunch with friends visiting from out of town. The per person price of $25 is very reasonable, especially if you get two plates: the food quality would make two plates of food more than $25 if purchasing as meals. We loved the ability to sit on the seasonally covered patio; there was just enough heat from the ceiling heaters to keep us comfy.

    We loved the festive atmosphere and all the food choices. We tried not to overindulge. The pecan pie was simply outstanding! Our server was very attentive and we enjoyed chatting with him. We could see how busy everyone was.

    Been to Roost every year for past 5. This year food was good however selection ion was limited. Dessert was well below average. It is like this year I h y just phoned it in.

    2023 was the third year that my wife and I have enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet at Roost. A wonderful new tradition for us! The food is delicious with lots to choose from. Autumn, our server, was friendly, gracious, and attentive to our needs. She made us feel welcome and special!

    Our waiter, Kyle, was attentive without being obtrusive, and kept us in hot coffee. The food was fantastic, for which reason this was our second Thanksgiving in a row with Roost doing the honors. We've eaten here numerous other times and been equally pleased and impressed. You guys have a winner, so please don't change a thing!

    We went to Roost for their amazing Thanksgiving brunch. From hot breakfast items, full salad bar options, to all of the Thanksgiving favorites, AND the largest platter of cocktail shrimp I've ever seen, everything was outstanding.

    Mediocre at best, unfortunately. Truffle fries app was cold and server was hurried. The food was okay (husband had scallops, I had airline chicken) but I wouldn’t go back anytime soon.

    We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday, chose this reason in the reservation but no mention was made by the staff. We were seated with no issues and our wait person was pleasant and prompt. We will not be ordering the beef tartar again as it lacked any flavor, the fries were good, the scallops were just ok w/too much sauce.

    We had a wonderful experience at Roost. My husband had the pork shank and I had the Corvina -- both excellent. The salad with roasted cauliflower was perfection and huge (we split it) and the pecan pie really good. My husband LOVED the Smoky Old Fashioned cocktail. We had the nicest waiter, Joe, and we also enjoyed seeing another waiter we know from previous dinners, Bryant, both delightful. We had a table for two overlooking the atrium and the bar downstairs at the hotel; we felt like we were on a fun trip somewhere having a new and enjoyable dining experience. The prices are good, better than many a similar restaurant in Gville.

    Did not know brunch would be buffet only. We are 3 vegetarians and paid $25 a head for basically grits and fruit. Not even the vegetable dishes were vegetarian. Terrible value. Selected restaurant based on hummus and other items on menu. Brunch was low quality and low value. We were disappointed.

    Absolutely loved the food and drinks. Place was packed and staff a little overwhelmed but our waiter was apologetic and did a great job being attentive to us. Noice level was a bit loud due to events in the hotel and a lot of children running thru the dining area but overall a great meal and experience. Will come again and hopefully it won’t be as busy or loud

    My husbands scallops we’re almost hilarious. One a full sized and 4 small and thin..he said the flavor was great. But the portion was a joke. We will say the manager did the tight thing…but being in an auditorium seating and this situation we will not be back.

    We have visited downtown Greenville at least a half of dozen times and finally decided to visit The Roost for a Sunday brunch. All I can say is "What the heck took us so long?"! With other bunches, we were always wary of the price and the quality of a buffet style meal. At The Roost, the variety and quality of options amazing, and the price was a terrific value! Combine the value of brunch with the impeccable service and the wonderful open air ambience and you have the ingredients for a great way to start the day! Downtown Greenville has a wonderful variety of places to eat. We have tried most of them and have not been disappointed one. That being said, don't make the same mistake we made - make it a point to visit The Roost sooner rather than later. I am confident you'll be glad you did!

    Our server was very in attentive taking over 15 min to take our drink order. Our appetizer came before our cocktails. Food was good. Seats have badly cracked vinyl and need reupholstered- they were very uncomfortable. With a little better service, some updating, it could be a good restaraunt. Would return but won't be our first choice.

    Enjoy this restaurant for the outdoor dining and live music at NOMA square in the warm months. The food is usually good and fairly-priced. On this visit, I ordered the pork chops and had to send them back twice for being undercooked. Actually we decided they were probably just super fatty and that's why they seemed so soft/squishy when cut into. I asked if they could just send me the chicken instead and they ended up replating the whole meal with the chicken. Really gracious of them. P.S. The old fashioneds were very good and only $10.
