Food, service and wine were exceptional. Slightly long wait for entrees.
My wife and I went there for our anniversary. We h ad a great meal, our server was fantastic. I thought the dinner was little pricey, but on the flip side I thought the wine prices were very good. Overall it was a great evening.
We had a great meal, steak was excellent and the sides amazing specially the corn. wine recommendation by Will was unique and amazing. Carlee was our waiter and she paid just the right amount of attention to us and provided excellent service.
The steaks were very good, but the asparagus was boring and the lobster mac 'n cheese had only 6 small chunks of lobster on the top of a very large portion of mac 'n cheese. Sadly, the cheese on it was not impressive at all, it tasted like doctored up Velveeta, not my first choice. Between the price of the steaks and the lackluster sides it was a terrible value compared to a competitor like Bern's, for example. We had the duck appetizer, which was incredible and the service was spectacular. Despite the good parts, I didn't feel it was an experience worth $240 (including a 20% tip). My husband had two Goose & tonics, I had a very nice $9 glass of pinot grigio, we had the $13 duck appetizer, the filet mignon and a ribeye w/ truffle butter (a $9 upgrade which you truly only need to order on one steak because it's big enough for two steaks), and we shared the sides of asparagus and lobster mac 'n cheese. They were large asparagus that were PEELED, I'm guessing tossed in a bit of olive oil and BARELY touched the grill. There was really no flavor or detectable seasoning on them and I'm a big fan of asparagus. My husband ordered his filet mignon rare and it was not as rare as he would have liked and my ribeye was cooked to a nice medium rare as I ordered, but it was charred a bit more than I would have liked, many bites were like licking the grill. :P
We went for my husband's 60th birthday. He loves steak but is very picky. He said his steak was melting in his mouth and the asparagus was perfect. Our rose wine was delicious. The lobster bisque was also excellent. Pricey but worth it for a special occasion.
We (two couples) enjoy trying restaurants new to us. We picked Rococo based upon positive online reviews and were so pleased with our choice! Rococo is a charming restaurant in an old building, once a funeral home! The food was great - I’ll get to that, but oh! How nice it is for seniors to be able to converse easily at a very comfortable table in a quiet room! Three of us are fans of octopus and shared a very tasty chargrilled appetizer with pickled onions. We all enjoyed salads, but the star was their version of the classic wedge - made extra special with bacon jam! We had two delicious ribeyes, a filet, and lamb chops perfectly cooked to our different preferences. My husband’s twice baked potatoes were enough for four to share. The wine list was excellent and competitively priced. Service was very good. The manager stopped by and we really enjoyed a short conversation with him. He’s very enthusiastic and no doubt set the tone for the wonderful experience we had. My only disappointment was my dessert- a chocolate flourless torte... I order them everywhere. It was very dry and a sad end to my evening. I did not have an opportunity to share my thoughts. My husband’s key lime pie, however, was special! Rococo is very pricey, but we all agreed we really enjoyed it and plan to return.
For my wife’s birthday, they gave us a beautiful, private booth. The cocktails were inventive and expertly prepared. Service, including wine, was knowledgeable, prompt and personable but unobtrusive. The food was of high quality and cooked perfectly. The space is luxurious, with ample space between tables and high ceilings. A top-flight experience for St. Petersburg.
Great as always!
Service was excellent and food was very good, but a bit overpriced for my taste. Not a fan of the "Florida humidity smell" of an old house and wish that was not present.
To say the least very interesting place. Location is fantastic. Definitely stands out from the rest. Would recommend for those who are loves excellent service and good steak. Wine selection is unbelievable. 5 stars!
The food is outstanding. What I was disappointed with was the scant amount of lobster in the lobster pasta. For this reason, I would not order it again. The crab cake was awesome. The octopus was delicious, too. My husband had the pork chop and my grandson had a fillet which were both outstanding. Everything was ala carte, but I think the compound butters should be free or much less expensive.
The service, food, and ambiance was fantastic! We celebrated my husband’s birthday there. We were first time customers and already know we will be going back!
We had a great dinner with our son who was visiting from college.
My husband said the lamb was probably the best he ever had and the filet as well as the scallops were outstanding.
It's fairly pricey, but they have a great wine list and although some things were a la carte, the side portions were good sized and you have the option of half a side order.
Dinner was absolutely wonderful. The food and service were both outstanding. I cannot wait to go back!
My cousins were visiting from Norway and I wanted to show them a truly great place for dinner. The waiter, Heath who is one of the bartenders, and the sommelier were excellent in providing recommendations for meals and wine . Lobster bisque was divine and the different meats we chose were prepared to perfection (filet mignon and ribeye) and wine (after providing us 3 different wines to taste) was a perfect pairing with our meat. A superb evening as usual at Rococo restaurant at my favorite table in the bar area. I also love the bar seating and all the bartenders there. Thank you.
Steak was good . I got the grass fed filet & added the Au Poivre sc added . Then tenderloin was just that , nice and tender ! The sauce was good but not memorable. We got the lobster Mac & cheese , no lobster in it though . However , the manager definitely made up for it by bringing me a half lobster tail !! 👍🏻
The Sommelier here is amazing. He always takes the time to talk with you about your wine choice.
All-around wonderful. The steaks are perfect, and even the fish is great. Fine wine list, too, and excellent professional service without being stuffy or pretentious. The best dining experience I’ve found in St Petersburg.
We were seated immediately and our server came to us quickly. Don answered any questions we had on the menu and wine choices. Food service was handled in a timely manner allowing time between each course. My mom's filet went back for a little more cooking but all food and dessert were delicious. It was noisy where we were sitting due to a private party in a room close by for a celebration. The staff tried their best to keep the door closed. We could have requested to be moved but didn't. There was plenty of room with it being a Sunday night. My mom and I enjoyed the special evening!
We had an awesome time!
Best steak awesome food
Excellent service and food. Steaks were great. Will return!
Great service and delicious meal of NY Strip and Crab Cakess
Lovely evening celebrating a friend’s significant birthday. Everything was just lovely. Could not have asked for a nicer evening!
There were 3 of us. I ordered the New York Strip and both of my friends ordered filets. All were deliciously seasoned and perfectly cooked. We shared the truffle French fries and roasted mushrooms. Both were fabulous. My friends each had a salad. Although very tasty, they were quite skimpy for the price. The server was informed, friendly, professional and low-key, which was appreciated. Overall, a wonderful experience.
Four of us went to Rococo to celebrate my birthday. We have been before and we’re looking forward to a repeat positive experience. However a table thirty feet from us was so loud we could not hear our own conversation. After enduring this for most of our dinner I asked to see the manager three times to see if he could control the situation. He told me he really could not ask them to quiet down without upsetting them and he did not want to do that. I asked him what kind of a restaurant he was running since having a dinner of expensive steaks and fine wines usually meant some expectation of an enjoyable evening. He told me they try to be all inclusive which means there are no rules. If you are looking for a quiet or romantic evening go elsewhere. There are many fine choices in the area.
My wife and I had a very good experience at Rococo Steakhouse. We were greeted politely and friendly on our arrival, and we were promptly seated with no problems. The restaurant décor was very cool with a distinct but different steakhouse style. The wait staff were excellent, including the sommelier, who went above an beyond to find us a wine similar to one we had and liked in France, and it was a perfect pairing with our dry-aged, bone-in ribeye steaks. The steaks were as good as any we have had at any other high-end steakhouses. Our desserts were also interesting and excellent. We will definitely go back to Rococo, and we very highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience and a very good steak.
We visited Rococo's for our wedding anniversary. The staff was very attentive and Kevin, the GM, was appropriately present! The craft drinks were very good. The appetizers were great, I highly recommend the octopus and the crab cakes. We both had a steak, arguably the best we have had anywhere in a long time. I would highly recommend their steaks over a famous Tampa establishment , any day! A great night! Thank you Rococo's.
I love this place! Great food, atmosphere and especially drinks! It is the best kept secret in downtown St Pete. Give it try if you are in the area!
Outstanding service and excellent food.
Another perfect meal, the filet mignons were delicious and cooked perfectly. Fabulous place, it’s a beautiful restaurant and the service was impeccable! I got up to use the ladies room and the host walked me there! We were celebrating my husbands birthday and it was just a wonderful evening. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were HUGE!!! The lobster bisque was the best I’ve ever had and I’m from Maine so I know what I’m talking about. Nothing negative to say about anything tonight. I’m so happy that St. Petersburg has such a high quality steak house! We will definitely be back!!!
Once again, Rococo provided an excellent dinner in sophisticated surroundings. This is the best place I’ve been to in St Petersburg, and I’ve been to quite a few restaurants here.
The is by far the best place in St Petersburg. The furnishings are a bit South Beach circa 1996, but there is a definite atmosphere of elegance, civility and sophistication. The food is superb, and the wine list outstanding and surprisingly reasonably priced. The staff are very well trained, and our waiter (Don) was both helpful and unobtrusive. The steaks were perfect and the onion rings (yes, the onion rings) should get a Medal of Honor. We will return here often.
Wonderful anniversary dinner. Intimate table and romantic ambience. Best scallops I’ve ever had, and hubby enjoyed his steak. Good wedge salad and sides. Nice touch to end the evening with our anniversary dessert. We will be back!
2 members of our party ordered apps as meal. One ordered app and full entree. Everything came at once. Salads entree and apps. Waiter did not ask how we wanted it served. Made meal feel rushed.
Was our anniversary everything went perfectly
Great service !!!!!
Beautiful place and tasty food. It was our first visit to the restaurant and we loved it. Our waitress young girl with glasses but i recall her name she was outstanding.
Had a fabulous date night here. We were wowed by the attentive service, amazing food and lovely atmosphere. We are vegetarians and the chef prepared a stunning and delicious dish for us. Who knew a steak house could be so accommodating to vegetarians! Great wine selection and dessert menu too.
Our waiter Joshua was awesome, the high back booth we had was the perfect environment for my wife's 60th bday
