Inside the JW Marriott, the Rockwood Grill, has a lovely ambiance and the food delectable. The scallops were tender, the risotto and garlic mashed potatoes delicious. Will definitely be returning again and again.
The good was excellent. The bread was wey good. The service was very good. Unfortunately the decor was very dayed; no ambiance at all.
Our server, Elena was superb! Every aspect of the meal was excellent and prepared to perfection! The wine list was comprehensive.
The entire staff were so friendly and attentive! Enjoyed eating outdoors!
On vacation. Beautiful, peaceful setting. Loved all the birds and ducks close by as well as excellent food and service.
A thoroughly enjoyable brunch! Delicious, fresh food; beautiful presentation.
Ate at the weekend buffet. Such delicious choices: soups, salads, full charcuterie cheeses meats and veggies, shrimp, ceviche, crab legs, prime rib, chicken, lamb, fish, pasta bar and more. Incredible array of desserts as well as cold stone ice cream bar with toppings. Beautiful table on the water. We had a great time. $42 pp. which was a bargain given the quality and choices. Highly recommend
3 out of 4 meals while we were staying at the JW Marriott were at the Rockwood Grill. The outdoor dining was great. Food was great and selection offered good variety. Service was excellent. The 4th meal was breakfast and I think the resort was getting busy for the weekend. We had to sit indoors and they seemed short staffed as we had poor service. Breakfast took forever to be delivered to table and server didn't return for long periods. The buffet was very pricey so we opted for hot cereal from the menu.
Best service ever! Filet terrific and great Brussels sprouts!
In town for a business conference. Met a client here for lunch.
Hanna was the best server.
Acoustics very bad - so loud that impossible to hear one another at our table. Food was fine, but not worth the price.
The waitress was very attentive, apologizing many times while we waited for our food. Another table with small children was quite loud as they claimed to be waiting for 2 hours. The mans burger was raw when it did arrive. My wife’s entree of cauliflower steak was cold when it arrived. The waitress offered several times to take it back. My wife declined so the waitress offered a free desert. That salvaged the experience but not the best investment of $140 meal. And that price without purchasing alcohol.
Took 1.5 hours to get food and ordered no appetizers or salad ahead of entrée. Waitress worked her tail off but food service was extremely slow and restaurant was not over half full of patrons.
The pancake chef was amazing. Every thing was great except the long wait to seat us even though we had reservations
Opted out of the Buffet they offered and chose a filet medium rare it was dry as a bone and cold and a baked potato which was ice cold. I sent them both back only to have them returned microwaved I would assume still both in the same way they came out the first time.
Really enjoy the food there..Being V tines day,it was incredibly busy and consequently the wait staff was challenged.
How gracious and lovely Elena was as our server and the food was superb! We will return to celebrate our birthdays next year!
Meh. Expensive and disappointing
Overpriced for what you get. Just a buffet in a hotel, nothing unique or worth $40/entree.
No atmosphere, Server was good, but very, very busy. Someone is giving up service for $$.
Jose was our waiter and was very professional and polite. Great brunch!
Excellent way to end a full day of meetings - sitting outside - having the ducks visit - Fun - casual and relaxing
The breakfast buffet is as good as any I have had maybe even better! The selection of foods is almost endless and includes all the normal breakfast goodies plus excellent egg and other breakfast dishes. Also they have excellent prime rib, wonderful sushi and a large assortment of aperitif items, vegetables fruits breads muffins Sweet goods all topped with excellent service. Wonderful experience!
At conference and the food is very good. Ate here 3 times. Caesar is good but heads up dressing is heavy. Poke bowl is really good but the onion is very present. Bacon dates are good. The scallops are ok... not a fan of the Rissotto... just didn’t have a very savory flavor. Rotisserie chicken was very good! Bread and herb butter is yum! View of mountains is awesome!
Although the restaurant was nearly empty, the service was terribly slow. Server was nice but food, especially desserts came out slow. The soup made it just in time for my entree to come out before I’d had a couple spoonfuls, this after she asked at time of ordering if I wanted my soup right away. Seemed strange, as if we were between shifts or something. Food was good but not remarkable. Desserts, while beautifully plated, were clearly frozen and well past their prime. Waited 20 minutes plus for the desserts to come out. Probably won’t try again. It’s a shame. Views are pretty and it’s in close proximity to where I work. They did take a dessert off the check. Thank you very much.
I would definitely go back again!
Always enjoy dinner at the Rockwood. Our server Elena is the best! Thanks Elena for a great evening.
Great food and service. But not good for for quiet conversations
The roasted cauliflower was burnt and everything was very salty. We won’t be back.
The manager was great, but we were seated in the back area with all young families. I am guessing b/c I have a 6 y/o. There were 5-7 energetic kids with little to no supervision(which is not on the restaurant). The buffet was $50 a head and left much to be desired. The manager apologized for the seating situation and gave us a discount on our bill, which was very generous.
The brunch was terrific. The Pink Flamingo drink was a real hit. But we were really just overwhelmed by the talent of the speciality, customized pancake chef. He patiently listened to each child's request and did an absolutely amazing job with the fancy pancakes. What a hit. What a gem.
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent. I highly recomend this restaurant. Hanna was great!

Our waiter Jovan was superb. Very helpful and personable.

I know it was Christmas dinner, but I'm sure it wasn't the first one they've hosted. Hostess station was overwhelmed, people were walking in behind me and getting seated areas of me with later reservation time, I was finally told "just sit wherever you want." So I wound up taking a table for 8. Food was okay, limited vegetable choices. Dessert bar was good!
Christmas Day buffet was excellent.
Fabulous meal! The salmon, roasted cauliflower, and steaks were amazing! Our staff that served our table were above and beyond.
