The oysters are fabulous. The side dishes are the same for every main dish, plentiful, and starchy. The service was decent. I loved that the 20% gratuity was added to our big party.
Rockafeller's is a go to place for fresh, well cooked seafood. Nothing fancy, just a nice place with good water views. My salmon special was excellent. my wife;s mahi was very good also. We come often.
Restaurant has lovely views onto the bay. Late afternoon is not the time for a window table because the sun is in your eyes, but we were quickly moved to a more comfortable table. Service was great. We shared the excellent crab dip and barbequed shrimp starters and all enjoyed the entrees. Two had the NY Strip special and others had the mahi mahi with risotto and the seafood platter. All were great. Definitely worth a return trip.
New Years Eve dinner.
Crab cakes were good. Blackened fish was not good and dry
Another wonderful meal with a great view. Meal was prompt and delicious
Great Seafood Restaurant to visit while at the Beach.
Good food. Excellent service and ambiance. Thank you.
Great food and service-wonderful ambiance. It's one of our favorites.
Food was OK. My broiled flounder was dry and overcooked. Maryland crab cakes were bland. Service was unique but good.
Very positive service and enjoyed the seafood platter and oysters
Excellent view and excellent service! The Rockafeller oysters were Devine and the crab dip was sinfully delicious!
Great experience, seated as soon as we arrived, quick service and the server was engaging and funny. We were having dinner with some friends from Maryland who had never been to Rockafeller's. They were both very surprised and pleased with the food and service. They particularly liked the she crab soup.
Great location, we had 6 adults who all complained about the high priced menu vs. the low quality outcome of the food. My husbands crabcake served in a cast iron dish tasted like motor oil.
Service was quick lacking friendliness. Except for gentleman greeting you at the door is very friendly and welcoming.
We are moving to the area and hope if we ever give this place another try it will be a better experience.
It was our first time dining at Rockafeller and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and especially the view. Would definitely recommend it to other friends
Unimpressed with the Sunday brunch menu. Descriptions on the menu ("roasted") didn't match the food that was served ("fried"). Some items were ok (French toast, skillet), but omelets were runny and unseasoned. Service left much to be desired. Any time we asked for something, it seemed like we were an annoyance. I wouldn't return of my own accord.
Food is always good. I love the Oysters Rockafeller.
Good family dining
We left after waiting 45 minutes for our food. Watched a table that was seated get their food before us.
Loved the ambiance water view was great! Food was delicious! Worth the trip,
Family came in from out of town and wanted to get some delicious local seafood without the 2 plus hour wait. Everyone enjoyed their dinner!
Casual crowded seaside restaurant, view was ok. Food was good. Loved my crab meat broiled in butter.
I would definitely come back here. The food, service view were great. The only negative was the volume. It was very loud.. to the point were conversations within our group were drown out. The positives did far outweigh this one down side. The next time I'm in the area I will eat here again.
Food was great! Most of our party enjoyed the seafood options. We did have 1 who is allergic to shellfish and the culinary team was able to ensure no cross-contamination. Would definitely recommend this restaurant! The shrimp was fantastic!
Only negative was they ran out of one of the appetizers on the menu. Otherwise it was delicious!
My family and I had dinner there while on vacation. The owner, waitstaff, and the valets were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious (try the grilled shrimp wrapped in applewood smoked bacon!), and the desserts were decadent, to say the least. Sit outside for a nice view of the boats. Next time we stay in the area, we’ll be eating there more than once!
Great food and service. Favorite spot when visiting VA beach. Highly recommend.
Good food and service. Asked to table with a view but got a view of the kitchen
The food was ok at best, service took a very long time. Portion sizes on the lighter end with the prices being pretty heavy. Overall not impressed but it wasn't a terrible experience. Crab cakes were good.
My group really enjoyed our dinner at Rockafeller’s. The oysters Rockafeller were amazing as well as the scallops! I would definitely return if I get in the area again.
Very nice staff and a manager that assisted wonderfully with answering questions. Wonderful view, amazing shrimp and other foods. Quiet noise level.
It was very busy and even with our reservation we had to wait for an unknown reason. They did apologize and comped us dessert. Service was great, food very good. View is also nice, but it is a tad noisy.
Great seafood restaurant! We had a large party of 12 and the table was waiting when we arrived. The atmosphere was nice and tasty seafood all around. Highly recommend.
My shrimps were soooooo good! Everyone in our group loved their meal. Less crowded and better than other restaurants near the beach!
We were there to celebrate our son’s birthday. We were seated immediately around 5:20. By the time that we got our drinks and were ready to order it was 5:33. I am a vegan so there isn’t much on the menu for me but I noticed that there was pasta with marinara for $9.99 on the early bird special. Because it was 3 mins past the cutoff for the specials the waiter said I could not order it. Other than a salad the only other thing to order was a pasta with marinara without the seafood. This cost $19.99 but I thought the price would be less because I asked for no seafood. Every other restaurant that I have been to reduces the price when the meat is take off of the meal so this was a first. I was charged the full price for something that 3 minutes earlier was $10 less. The meal was
mostly marinara which completely over powered the pasta. My husband order calamari which was way over cooked and my son’s Mahi mahi was dry. Food was overpriced for what we got and I can safely say that I will not be going back or recommending this restaurant to anyone.
Reservations recommended. Food was great. Corey our server was the best.
Nice view of the Marina in Rudee's Inlet. The food was great.. The service was excellent. The ambiance was ok. I would definitely go back. Table son top deck are small.
If looking for a great seafood at affordable price, then this is the place. The food was very good , my husband and I both ordered the Rockafellers trio- I am not a fan of scallops but they were delicious. They even have a few non seafood dishes - son had babybacks ribs and said they were very good.
The view overlooks the boat docks off of Rudee inlet. Kid friendly and desserts are a must!
The wait staff took a really long time to come around to the table. The waiter did not inform correctly on what the meals consisted of.
