Rocco's Cucina & Bar
While in town, my husband and I wanted to find a neighborhood pizza parlor where we could enjoy a light dinner near the event. We wandered through the North End & only found high end white table cloth restaurants when we found our first pizza option near the corner of Hanover/Commercial Sts, there was a 1 hr wait to sit. Thank goodness we walked a little further and went to Rocco's. What a great cozy neighborhood place. We were immediately made to feel welcome and were treated to an expertly prepared pizza, fresh bread with olives and olive oil and decent affordable Merlot. Wait staff was quick, attentive and pleasant. We would definitely return & will share this info with others going to events at the garden.

I wish I could give this place one star. Went there for an early Labor Day dinner with my best girlfriend and decided to get an appetizer and a drink before our pizza. We have driven past this place multiple times on our way to work and we were super excited to dine in. We got our appetizer extremely fast and our drinks took about 40- 20 minutes. After appetizer our server said it would take 10 minutes for a pizza to get there.. after about 15 minutes she arrived with a second round of drinks and told us our pizza would get there in two minutes.. we looked at the time and realized it had been about an hour and 10 minutes since we sat down and we have yet to get a pizza. Everyone around us who have sat after has got their dinner and appetizers way before us she blamed the new pizza man and said it was his fault and that it should be out in five minutes and offered us free drinks. At this point my friend and I were annoyed and decided no on the free drinks and we just wanted to check she didn’t offer to give us a pizza for free but was going to check on the status of the pizza and said that it would have not been worth the wait for the free pizza which basically means the man had never even started on it..
Awesome place. Out of the hustle and bustle. Food is excellent. Some of the best I have had in all of Boston.
Below average this restaurant has very bad service
Terrific fun staff. Enjoyable background music and quiet setting.
Great meal outside on the street-side dining area. Waitress was great too.
The food was very disappointing. Also, they do not have a full bar and serve a "vodka" cordial which is not the same. The carbonara was terrible.
This is a hidden gem. The food is outstanding at very good prices and they go above and beyond to take care of you
Rocco's is a neighborhood favorite - and their food never fails to please! Their seasonal cocktails are excellent as well.
They are also extremely safe and well spaced for pandemic purposes.
The wait staff was outstanding, unfriendly management but overall, not a bad spot
excellent food, drinks and service. I will definatly go back!
Fantastic restaurant! Excellent food!! Will definitely recommend to friends! Cant wait to eat there again!!!
We ate at Rocco's with a party of four. Overall, the food was decent, and the service was good but the noise level made it hard to hear the people we were dining with (the restaurant wasn't crowded, but the TVs were turned up very high). It was also very cold every time the door opened.
Rocco's is a great find. Had been there once before but chose this place for my birthday celebration last month. Had a great meal, met Rocco and had great service. Loved the food - don't want too many others to know about this place as we don't want to have to struggle to get in but really recommend it.
We had brunch on a Sunday. No decaf coffee or cappuccino on menu. Maybe dinner menu better
Dinner before Celine Dion show at the Garden. Within walking distance which was important. Great varied menu, very reasonably priced, service (James) was spot on. Ambiance so quaint. We were worried about phones dying for show and we were able to charge both phones before dinner was done. Huge relief and so kind. Def will visit again.
Great food - Cozy bar. The noise level can get loud for such a small place but the food is worth it
Had a great Celtics pregame dinner. Great variety of food and drink, comfortable room with many TVs and really friendly staff. I'll go back.
Great local bar - staff is very friendly and well ensure that you'll be able to see whatever game playing that day. Upscale dive / sports bar vibes.
Had a great time. Met the owner, he is very nice and appreciative. Food was so good I could stop eating.
Everything was awesome! We will definitely be back!
Fine if you like your sport on large screens and need to shout over TV coverage to hear yourself heard. Less so if you’re there for food and conversation. Noise added to by being adjacent to busy road. Good for snacks and small groups propping the bar up and bar hopping.
The lobster ravioli special was amazing. The restaurant is slightly off of the main drag which meant we didn't have to wait for seating. Service was outstanding and we sat at a lovely table open to the street. The pasta prices are comparable to others in the area, which is not cheap. However, they had other options that were more affordable. I would definitely go again.
The service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their food. It was a nice night out and the windows were open so there was nice breeze.
Small neighborhood cafe/bar atmosphere. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food since I figured it was more bar like. Fresh in house made ingredients and food. Service was fast and pleasant.
Bruins Stanley cup finals
Nice place to go before going into TDBank to watch a game, no crouds easy
Awesome food and incredible service. Very generous portions. Price was very reasonable and the atmosphere was perfect!!! We will definitely return!!!
This place is a cozy neighborhood dive bar. Great atmosphere, everyone was very friendly, we were there during the March Madness tournament this past weekend so it was a little crazy. The food was fantastic, we tried calzone, arancini, eggplant rollatini, pasta and lobster ravioli and they were all delicious. The service was great, we had a party of 7 and our waitress was top notch. I wish this place was in my neighborhood!
Fun night with good food and fun trivia. Nice location!
Was there twice last week. Thursday night was quiet. Saturday was a little loud. Service was excellent, friendly staffing provided an excellent experience. One complaint. It was a nice night and the widows were open, which adds to the ambiance. The smokers right outside the widow was not great. They should think about having smokers around the corner.
Good food and good service. Food was good but average for the North End.
Great spot for someone with Shellfish allergy- hard to find apps that aren’t fried in the same oil as the seafood -was able to enjoy Italian apps!. Small but cozy, great bar decor, draft list is minimal but good. Portions fits he cost. Great for a quick bit/drink.
We always enjoy Rocco’s. The atmosphere is very neighborly and the wait staff is always pleasant. The food is relatively unremarkable, but it is certainly acceptable.
Bland food, bad service.
Food was undercooked. Beer list wasn’t great. Service was ok. I wouldn’t go back.
We found this "OK" . They took a large party ahead of us that didn't have reservations and we ended up getting somewhat shoved behind them. Food was decent and good choice if you want to be just slightly off the beaten path of the North end crowds. Staff very friendly and attentive.
Dinner was most enjoyable at Rocco's, as the Gemelli pasta and chicken & broccoli calzone were delicious, and the service was most attentive. The calzone was large enough to feed three diners. We were seated at a terrific table near an open window, and enjoyed the harpoon IPA as well as a bottle of Pinot Noir. Prices are reasonable, and we had a wonderful evening dining at Rocco's.
Not as good as first time. Burger was over cooked and sweet potato fries were not edible. Steak tips and salad were okay. Won’t go back
Fun bar spot with great food, big tv's and nice big open windows. Service was great. Small place with tight seating but worked out ok. Lobster roll and wine selection were excellent.
We went there for my husband's birthday and were seated at a lovely table open to the street. Menu had lots of options and portions were ample. We joined Rocco's membership club to get points for return visits.
