The Roaring Fork offers bold American wood-fire cooking with fine dining atmosphere. We serve dinner nightly starting at 5pm and Happy Hour daily from 4pm - 6pm in our bar and lounge area only. Sorry, no reservations for Happy Hour. Our bar and lounge is always open seating. Reservations are always recommended for dinner. Thank you for your interest and we hope to serve you soon.

    The Roaring Fork is a wonderful restaurant that would appeal to anyone who loves a place that serves quality dishes with a serene with a warm ambience. The service is excellent. Located on 7th Street off Congress, it is a gem!

    The waitress was decent, but food did not turn out as ordered. Salmon was raw In middle even though it was ordered to be Cooked medium well. Filet was undercooked When ordered medium plus. They did take the salmon off the bill and give us a Complimentary dessert.

    The service was great, but the food was less to be desired. The queso we ordered was delicious, but our main course was “meh” for the price. The pork chop was a full upper body workout to cut through and very dry. The sweet potato mash tasted like straight dirt. The sauce on top of the pork chop was the only thing that saved it. The apple/pepper medley was cold which really threw off the whole temperature of the dish. The mac&cheese was pretty good. My husband said his steak was “alright”. The peach cobbler dessert was ok, nothing spectacular. Drinks were decent.

    The only complaint i have about our experience is that the side order of mushrooms were inedible and we let the server know about this and we were still charged for them. I know it was only a small amount on the total of the bill but i thought this would have been taken off the check.

    Asparagus was perfectly cooked. Lamb appetizer, chosen by another in our party, was nicely grilled though something I don’t usually enjoy. My spouse and I shared the pork chop: delicious chop, mashed sweet potatoes, and chutney. We ordered the cornbread to eat with entree: perfect complement.

    The food was amazing! The filet was cooked to perfection and don’t miss out on the green chili Mac & cheese or truffle fries. Both are the best I’ve had.

    What a pleasant surprise. We visited Austin, and had no plans for our first night and found Roaring Fork on Google Maps. It was a little more upscale than we anticipated, but casual dress was readily accepted. The ambiance was very nice and had a steak house feel to it, dimmer lighting. The wine list was excellent, and the food was spectacular. Service was presented with a gracious smile and we never felt like we had to wait for extras. I would definitely dine there again.
