High school graduation celebration
The service was very intrusive and disruptive. The wait staff seemed intent on removing plates, many times before courses were even finished and often interrupting conversations to do so. Yet the same level of urgency did not apply to fulfilling drink orders or filling water glasses. It was supposed to be a celebratory evening out and instead of relaxing and enjoying each other's company, we felt rushed, pressured and on edge.
We had great food & excellent service. Everything was prepared as ordered & our server spaced out or courses perfectly, so we did not feel rushed... Will be back soon
Service was slow and the place wasn't busy. Bread showed up after entrees were served. The Eggplant and Swordfish were over cooked. My wife asked for extra marinara and it never came. The "pour" on my wine was anemic.
Not the same Rizuttos we used to enjoy.
A wire chip was found in the food!!! Almost poke a tooth! Just said sorry...
Food was good but prices are crazy in relation to the what you get. Also, the sangria tastes like Hawaiian Punch.
Really nice setting!
They seemed short staffed, took 15 min to get waters, but everything was great overall.
Good Place, good food and good service. First time visiting the restaurant and I have no complains.
We like the atmosphere, but, we thought the buffet was a little lackluster. The Mother’s Day menu was a combination of an entree, combined with the buffet. We thought, because of this pairing, the buffet was lacking in the choices usually found in restaurants of this caliber.
We had an amazing Mother’s Day brunch there today. From the moment we stepped in the door to the moment, our experience was perfect. The entrees were great and the add on buffet was a perfect touch. Our server was attentive and service was impeccable even though every table was filled. After being in the restaurant business for many years you know how to recognize a well oiled machine, we will definitely be back!
Love the way you can design your own entree by choosing a pasta, a sauce, a protein, and veggies. Everyone in our group of 6 loved their meal!!
We had Easter Sunday brunch with my son and daughter-in -law and brother. There were many families there and it was great for us. Food and service were both very good. Will definitely be back.
We went there as the menu looked great. Unfortunately we were disappointed by the food. We did share a bbq pizza, which was good, not spectacular. I had Turkey BLT which was nothing special, my husband had the shrimp and grits, the grits were over cooked he felt, the bun of the burger was so wet, we had to ask for another bun. also nothing outstanding. My daughters had the crab cakes, which they liked. Unfortunately we will not return, especially if we liked it the Westport location is closer to where we live.
Rizzuto’s is always a go to place for us when we want a good Italian meal with friends. The drinks and appetizers were great. However, three out of the four of us got the Penne Alla Vodka which is usually phenomenal but unfortunately it was not great, the pasta barely had an sauce and not a lot of flavor. Which is opposite of what it usually is. We would certainly still come back, maybe it was an off night!
Lovely place, but a bit loud in the bar. Good food.
We've been long time customers. Atmosphere was excellent. Server was very attentive. We had a very nice time. The only thing that was different than were were accustomed to was the bruschetta.
Really the only thing we didn't enjoy. Product is usually very consistent. The rest of the food was great! We tried some things we don't normally get (Osso bucco, crab cake, etc) and they were all very good. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great meal, good service and barely tolerable ambient noise. A typical Rizzuto experience.
A pleasant atmosphere and really great food. The “design your own” pasta dish is fantastic!
It was nice. Waiter didn’t remember desert but that was fine
Our waiter was great! He didn't rush us through our meal. We were both celebrating a birthday and catching up. He allowed us time to talk and enjoy our drinks before asking us what we wanted to eat. It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The food was excellent. The restaurant and service made the evening special - we weren't looking for anything fancy and Rizzuto's isn't fancy. But it is consistently good food at very good prices with accommodating staff.
Enjoyed our evening there, however, the sun was pouring in the side window and was in our faces/heads. Need shades to pull down at certain times. We should have been more on top of where we sat and asked to move once we knew how sunny it was.
Very nice restaurant + delicious Italian food. I loved everything about our dinner!!
It was a quiet Sunday evening and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience
Waitress was not very attentive. After receiving menus and drink order taken it was almost 10 minutes before she returned to
When food arrived several sides were missing and we had to ask for them.
Our check was delivered and again 5 minutes before she took credit card.
Another 5 minutes before it was returned to us
Felt a bit rushed by the waiter, food was ok, service not of a high quality restaurant. It was ok
Food is always excellent and service was great. 10/10 recommend.
One of my friend had found a piece of plastic or wire in her spinach. The manager was kind enough not to charge us for her order and also provided us with awesome dessert on the house. It is really nice to see that the management takes care of their patrons well. I would love to come back and enjoy other items on the menu.
We were celebrating 2 Sweet 16 Birthdays!!! Server was great and they were awesome about providing a dessert dish with three items on it and candles!!! The food was delicious. Would definitely go back.
No one welcomed us to our table and after 25 minutes and speaking to the manager finally got service. No water until we asked. No bread until we asked multiple times. Three people got the lasagna and it was inedible. No noodles, mostly cheese and too much salt. Very disappointed.
I requested a cozy seating for a special event but they couldn’t accommodate. My food was so salty I couldn’t eat it. The best part of our eve was the cocktail and our server, Alan!!
Rizzuto's is one of our favorite go-to restaurants in West Hartford. The service is professional and friendly, the food is always tasty. Don't make the mistake of going there on a weekend without a reservation, though. It is very popular and always packed.
Pizza was terrible.cold. you guys can do bbetter .service was non existent. I have had better here. Disappointed after not coming here for years. Too many options in west Hartford to have a miss
Cant wait to go back just for the mussel app it was truly AMAZING
The general manager Lynn and my server Monica were very accommodating and made sure we had a great dining experience for our anniversary.
waitress was a bit slow, brought cappuccinos but dessert came 10 minutes later and was terrible. We called her over to tell her it was unacceptable - she had it taken off our bill but was surprised manager didn’t come over to ask what was wrong so they could address it in the kitchen.
Place is nice and friendly. Food took a little too long to arrive despite the restaurant was roughly 30% full and my daughters french fries were too greasy for a child. Total cost of $100 for two and a child lunch seemed a little too expensive.
We’ve been to Rizzuto’s about a half a dozen times. Food and service have been good so we like the restaurant overall. A couple of gripes. This is the first restaurant where I had to ask for the salt and pepper. The waitress told me that they do not keep the condiments on the table. This decision is not diner friendly and should be reversed. Also the restaurant is very noisy. So be forewarned. We knew this having dined there before.
Its been awhile since we were Rizzutos in West Hartford. Last night we had a party of 6 and it was awesome! Every meal was perfect, service was impeccable, atmosphere had a great vibe and you could tell everyone was having a good time! Rizzuto's should be one of your favorite hot spots in West Hartford and if its not it should be. The owner Bill Rizzuto and his team have done an outstanding job and has made this place one our favorites!
