Rizzuto's Oyster Bar and Restaurant - Westport
Located in the Saugatuck neighborhood of Westport, CT Rizzuto’s is across from the Saugatuck River. The restaurant boasts a large bar and lounge and the main dining room features an open kitchen and a grand stone fireplace. A large patio overlooks the Saugatuck neighborhood and the tranquil river.
We were in the area for parents weekend at a local college and I hadn’t made reservations anywhere. Went in open table, did a search, and this popped up. What a wonderful surprise! Food, service, and ambiance was delightful. Will definitely return next time we visit!
It’s always a turnoff walking into a restaurant and smelling the cleaner used. Service was great, and food was good. Hoping for better as it’s right down the street and we would love a go-to, moderately priced, neighborhood spot.
We had the best service. It really made the evening excellent!
Our 2nd meal during Restaurant Week. We continue to be impressed.
I was glad to bring my sister-in-law to our favorite restaurant. She grew up in Brasil so it was especially nice to have Estevao as our waiter. She, he and my wife enjoyed talking with each other in Portuguese.
Excellent service with s great selection of tasty food.
I met my HS friend for lunch - half way! She lives in RI, I am on LI. We had a wonderful and delicious reunion!
Our neighborhood favorite
Have been to Rizzuto’s many times. This time was a little disappointing. Two of the fish entrees were sold out and although our waitress was very nice she completely forgot our starter salad!
We especially enjoy dining on the Patio. Portions are huge!
Our favorite place to catch up after I've spent the morning as celebrant and preacher in an Episcopal Church.
I really like the ambiance of this place but sadly the food is very mediocre.
Best Hamburgers in Westport. Our restaurant to catch up after my Sunday spent as a supply priest in a church outside of Westport.
It's a pretty good restaurant and not that pricey compared to other places
We continue to enjoy Rizzuto's and think of it as our neighborhood restaurant. In the last several months we've dined there at least weekly. The specials are always must haves. The wait staff is attentive. Can't ask for more.
food & service always excellent. Noise too much in bar before happy hour ends. Wine list priced sky-high with few choices below $38 per bottle and those are out of stock.
One of a few restaurants that is consistently good. I am never disappointed. Kareen
They have a really good selection on the menu, fun cocktails, and nice ambiance.
We ate on the patio, perfect setting for Sunday Brunch.
Very mediocre, both meals were not prepared as we asked. Would not come back.
Lasagna was great and more than I should eat, but I did. Lindsey was nicely attentive to us. We'll be back on Sunday.
generally decent food with exceptionally good salads and hamburgers.
Particularly nice when the weather encourages eating outside
My friends and I used to love coming here for business lunches. This last visit will be our last! It was dark in the dining room, the floors were sticky and way too many flies for an indoor dining room. Very disappointing. The food was bland and not worth the wait. The coffee was cold.
The only bright star was our server. Very pleasant and attentive.
Enjoyed dinner on the Patio, perfect evening. Sword Fish with pickled onions and capers was perfect.
Food was excellent. We had been there before and never disappointed.
My wife & I had a great dinner at Rizzutto's last Saturday with her brother and his wife. We all enjoyed mussels, salads, swordfish, red snapper, red wine, dessert and coffee. The food, beverages and service were great, and we will return soon.
Introduced a friend to Rizzuto's. He hadn't been to the site since it became Rizzuto's. He agreed with me that your hamburgers are the best in Westport. I urged him to come back with his wife at night and experience what you do with fish and your specials.
Our server, Theresa, was excellent! She was very attentive and so nice to talk to! Food was excellent- another great dinner at Rizzuto’s!
I usually rate you very high. However your hostess failed to note that we honored our reservation so I had to give feedback to Open Table to get it cleared up. I told her who I was and that I had a reservation so not sure why she failed to so note. I had the baked lobster and that was a mistake. My fault for not ordering steamed lobster. I will hereafter. My wife loved her scallops w/ lemon and olive oil. You seem to be turning over wait staff. I haven't had one I know for several weeks. I miss the ones who knew us.
Terrific food and great happy hour menu. Always a favorite
Great food and service. Had the lobster roll and it was fantastic. Great place to meet up with friends or bring the family. They have a nice food menu and drink menu.
Tape holding ceiling and floor together, knife on floor outside front door. Place is not well maintained physically, but server was awesome as was the food and happy hour.
I've been here many times and find it to be consistent. My last visit was the same however- it was very hot in the restaurant. I know it was on the extreme outside but for my party of 6 it was rather uncomfortable.
We go to Rizzutos often but found this visit very disappointing. The service and the food not up to par!
Ordered off of the specials menu, and virtually everything on it was excellent. I think this is the way to go. Fantastic and accommodating service, and very nice cocktail selection. Casual in appearance, it's very comfortable but has the quality of a much, much fancier joint. Highly recommended.
Table of eight for a birthday celebration. Great food, service and fun atmosphere.
The food and service are top notch.... I think this restaurant is very under rated...
We were sitting outside but the band inside was much too loud. However Morgan was a great waitress and I enjoyed the Sole Francais and my wife the pan seared scallops.
Wife decided she didn't like the Happy Hour wine, server took it back, got her something more to her taste, and didn't charge her for the wine not to her liking. They are always very responsive to our needs.
The food was good, but unfortunately our waiter looked like he could care less about us or our dining experience. He asked if we wanted anything to drink even before our buttts were in our seats and didn’t even say, hello or tell us his name. No eye contact. The entrees came at the same time as they were clearing our appetizer plates. My husband inquired about the AC because it was so hot and the manager came over and in a loud voice, said, “I hear you need to talk to me?” No intro, no “how can I help you?” And they couldn’t offer to move us to a cooler spot. Too bad, we loved this place but we’ll find good food with better people elsewhere.
