Our Sunday brunch was terrific as usual Sorry to see the lack of customers
Have eaten here several times and the food is consistently good. I like that there is a variety of choices, including vegetarian, so there is something for everyone.
Very worth going off the beaten path. The food was amazing and we had a gorgeous view of the river while we ate.
We dine here frequently and always enjoy the food and service. Highly recommend!
It was wonderful
The elk & mushroom pot stickers were great. Fun place!
I compared other find restaurants in the area and rivers had to best prices. Our server was attentive and aware of us. We had the Portabella mushroom for an appetizer.. We both had the New York strip steak and lobster tail. Everything was really incredible! There are many things on the menu I would like to go back and try.
Very attentive to celiac disease needs. Extensive gluten-free choices with assurance avoiding cross-contamination.
Delicious specials and a wonderful waitperson, Kim, made for a special evening. Treat yourself to a meal here when you are in Glenwood Springs! Cozy in the winter, and a nice deck by the river for dining in the summer.
We had a great brunch as usual and will continue come for our monthly anniversary celebration
We really enjoyed the setting and view. Really nice service
The service and food were absolutely great! We will be back!
So much happy wow! Much tasty! Cute salad. Very cowy beef! Happy tasty! Much thank server amazing! 👍👍👍🔥😍🥰👖👍👍👍
I will (and have been) recommending Rivers Restaurant to every one of my friends and coworkers. By far the best steak I've ever had. I will be making it a point to eat here every time I'm in Glenwood Springs! Please open a restaurant in Denver! 10/10 to everything about my experience.
Great ambiance by the river. Really good food! Very impressed.
we are always pleased with the service atmosphere and food
From start to finish great service, great food and some awesome options for specialty drinks 🍸
It was pretty noisy but it was NYE so it was to be expected. Server was great! Food was excellent. Even though it was new years eve we received our food really fast. Crab cakes were delicious. Only down side was male employee hanging out on front step smoking and it was extremely cold in restaurant.
This is our favorite restaurant for a special family dinner when we are visiting Glenwood Springs. The location along the river is beautiful. The food and service never disappoint us. We dined early on New Year's Eve and the ambiance was very nice.
We had a group of 9. We were served quickly by the most knowledgeable waiter. Everyone was friendly and greeted us with smiles. The food was delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant!
This is the second time we've had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Unfortunately, they were both on Christmas Day. My guess is that they just don't have the number of cooks needed in the kitchen to handle the capacity of being the only nice restaurant in Glenwood Springs open on Christmas day. We had a 7:00PM reservation and were not seated until 7:30PM and many people (with reservations!) had to wait even longer than we did. The mood of the very large crowd at the hostess station was mutinous. Once we were seated at a too-large table in the very loud bar area (4 people at a 6-top), we tried to order right away. The salads came out fairly quickly, but then we had to wait another 30 minutes for our entrees. My husband was ready to leave by this point, but I knew there was no other place open and we had no food at our hotel. Finally, they brought our food and got the order wrong. My daughter ordered trout and they brought out a prime rib (she doesn't eat red meat). They replaced it with 2 lobster tails which was nice, but by that time we were so frustrated and unhappy with our experience at this restaurant that we vowed never to come again. (Unfortunately this was almost the same thing that happened the year prior; I had forgotten the name of the restaurant when making a reservation online. I won't make that mistake again.) The waiter was friendly enough (although he never apologized for the wait or anything), but they obviously can't handle the holiday crowd.
We went on Christmas Eve and this was the worst experience I have ever had in a resturant. I made this reservation for my family who was in town from out of state based on the reviews listed. It took over an hour and a half to received the food for the adults. The children received their dinner just fine and early. When the food finally did show up it was all wrong and it was over cooked on the proteins. We were comped for our entire meal after we were upset but it still does not excuse the poor service and excuses we received. We also did leave a tip for the server as it was not all their fault. I would not recommend this place and I will not be going back.
It’s a quaint restaurant that feels cozy to be in. The food is decent but not worth the prices. The service was okay. All in all it was a nice meal but not amazing.
A very enjoyable dining experience We have Sunday brunch here at least once a month and are never disappointed
Outstanding Sunday brunch, attentive service, relaxed atmosphere!
Each dish was well prepared and presented. Service was friendly and attentive.
For a holiday, service was efficient and the food was delicious.
Reliably good eats and good service and a pleasant atmosphere
After a day of fishing on the river where else would you go but to Rivers Restaurant. We had some wine, whisky and a great meal.
Wonderful cuisine, atmosphere and service; a great combination at a fine establishment. We really recommend it!
Comfortable and beautiful location, we were not rushed and enjoyed a wonderful meal.
Great food & service really enjoyed patio deck on the River
The food was uneventful - I expected more taste profile for the price. The vegetables tasted like they had been microwaved the day before. Halibut was bland and dry. The beets were good. Service by our waiter was non-existent much like his personality. Had to ask another waiter for everything. He had another table (no more than 6 people so no excuse!) Ambiance was lovely. Side note: I do not think staff should stand out front and smoke cigarettes (even if it is at the end of the porch.) I do not smoke any more but never smoked in a public area. Nothing worse than your waiter, when he was around, to smell like cigarettes!
We enjoyed dinner on the patio, right by the river. The Smoked Trout Paté & Godzilla Shrimp were incredible. We split a salad as our entreé and a well-priced bottle of wine, that we were able to take without when we didn't finish the last glass. Although we were happy outside, the inside looked gorgeous and made me comment that it would be a great spot for a wedding or big party.
We had 2 entrees, a filet and parmesan crusted pork chops. Both came with asstd veggies. The food took 4ever to come out, and was cold when it arrived. The bacon wrapped filet was ok - but the bacon was nearly raw. The pork chop was just shy of shoe leather tough. The veggies were meager - 3 pieces of roasted beets and 2 sticks of brocolli- and did I mention cold?
We told the waiter (when he finally came by) he said he'd see what he could do - when he returned he offered a complimentary dessert- but no solution for the wretched entrees. We also spoke to the woman who said she was the GM, she said she would tell the chef - but that was it.
We paid our bill (needless to say not the best tip we've ever left) and left - we won't be back.
We can recommend The Riviera Supper Club in downtown Glenwood Springs - they know how to treat customers.
We sat on the deck next to the river which would have been beautiful...except road crews were working on a nearby bridge over the rivers so we has construction noise all through dinner...of course the restaurant could not help the noise and everything else was great....
food was not to expectation
View and ambiance is amazing. The food was ok. I expected a bit fancier and better tasting for the food to match the ambiance. Food quality is about that expected at a country diner/cafe.
Amazing views from the deck. Great food and service. Highly recommend.
Our server was attentive in the beginning and then disappeared for a significant amount of time. None the less, we still enjoyed our dinner, as always. The inside bar area could use some upgrading. A little dated.
