From the team that brought the celebrated and award winning Vintage Tavern to Suffolk comes River Stone Chophouse. Featuring steaks and fresh seafood in a beautifully designed traditional craftsman-era architecture. Join us for a cocktail lounge and raw bar, then have dinner by the stone fireplace. River Stone demonstrates a unique commitment to providing special dining experiences to patrons and is excited to be the first Chophouse in Hampton Roads. River Stone features Hereford beef, a raw bar, fresh lobster and an extensive wine list to compliment the cuisine. Centrally located in Northern Suffolk, only minutes from five surrounding cities.
Late night dining is available in the bar as well as a lighter fare menu in the lounge. Happy Hour specials Monday to Friday 3-6pm. Reservations are recommended.

It took an hour to get food. Paid over $600 for cold overpriced steak and drinks. Fruit flies everywhere I was swatting them during dinner. My surf n turf had 1 bite of crab on top. This was such a joke. They should be embarrassed of what they served on Fathers Day. We won’t be back! They did provide a free shrimp cocktail to make up for poor service. Our food should have been half off. I’m still upset about it! Was supposed to be a “fancy” Father’s Day meal. I’m embarrassed I took my family here! Get it together folks.

The service was not great, Crab cakes were cold and the steak my wife ordered was dry. Nice place inside but need more attention to detail especially with the prices.

My wife and I had dinner at the Chop House for our 45th anniversary. We have been there before, and the service and ambiance are wonderful. We started with Old Fashioned cocktails, and they were well prepared. For dinner, my wife had their signature rib-eye and I had the smoked strip steak. Both were well prepared and delicious. Our side of broccolini was wonderful, sautéed in the brown butter. The Chop House is pricey but the food and service are great. Highly recommend.

First time experience. Compared to some other steakhouses I’ve patronized, it was a very good steak. I’ve been other places where the steaks were better, Although I did enjoy the ambiance and the food & Service was very good.

The service and food was exceptional. I would always recommend River Stone to anyone that wants great ambience, service, and food. That being said, if anyone wants that it is better when you set a reservation which is what we did. You don’t always get the same when you just come as a walk in, but the service and food are the same (exceptional).

I am a connoisseur of fine dining around the 757. I was unimpressed with the food. It was bland with hardly any flavor. I ordered the duck. There were gnats surrounding my table and when one flew into my smashed potatoes and I showed the waiter, the potatoes still weren't taken off of the ticket. I paid and tipped well because the service was good. The ambiance was great, except for the gnats.
