                                                                              Seafood good. Steaks poor (over cooked, then under cooked). Wait staff inattentive. Side note - we marked in our reservation this was our anniversary dinner. Staff made no note of this, not even well wishes. This is the opposite of what we’ve experienced with special occasion reservations through Open Table.

They did not have any Pinot Grigio but offered a replacement which unfortunately I am not a fan of. I ordered the Escargot. It was floating in a cream sauce which was tasty. The Escargot tasted old and funky. I did not eat it. My husband had average salad which was good. He also had the Grouper Oscar which was very good. I had a special with Stripnsteak and Scallops. Also very good. The only issue for me is that it was barely warm. The Artillery Punch was awesome per my husband!

                                                                              We loved our experience at River House! Sidney was our server and she was phenomenal. She made great recommendations. We tried the Grouper Oscar, the Lobster Ravioli, the Shrimp and Scallops pasta, and the Shrimp and Grits, all of which were amazing. If you get dessert, get the Peach Cobbler, it’s hands down the best dessert on their menu. Also, if you get pasta, be sure to ask for their baguette. We will definitely be back here next time we’re in Savannah!

                                                                              Our waitress was nice and friendly but that was about the only good thing about our experience. We started off with the calamari which was clearly not high quality and not cooked well (breading was soft, not really a lot of "crunch" to it). My husband ordered a steak which was fine. The side of mashed potatoes were "interesting". I ordered a fettuccine seafood pasta dish. The fettuccine was completely overcooked - the mushiness literally ruined the taste of the entire dish. I asked for my entree to be remade and it took so long for it to be brought back out that my husband was long done with his dinner before my new entree arrived. We are in Savannah often and sadly, I would not recommend this place and will not dine here again.
