Home of the Wet Woody ® and storybook sunsets, Riva Grill is Tahoe South’s premier lake front restaurant located in the Ski Run Marina. The 3,000 square foot deck overlooking Lake Tahoe comfortably seats 200 guests and is a dining experience that is second to none. Floor to ceiling windows in the two-story restaurant provide an equally epic view of the Sierras and Lake. Since 1998, visitors and locals alike have flocked to Riva for the best food and service in town. Try the bacon-wrapped filet and scampi with Point Reyes Bleu Cheese butter, the renown grilled or blackened fish tacos with apple-jicama slaw and micro cilantro or any of their home made wood fired pizzas, to name just a few. Additionally, a visit to Riva Grill would not be complete without trying their world famous Wet Woody ® signature cocktail. The rum and fruit juice blended drink will leave you with cold hands and a warm heart and certainly wanting one more.

    There is always plenty of parking available at Riva Grill. Complimentary valet parking is provided, lunch and dinner, seven days a week during the summer season. Additional parking is accessible in the lot adjacent to Riva Grill where the first 90 minutes of parking is complimentary.

We are one mile west of the Heavenly Gondola; on the south side of highway 50, and a quick ride by taxi cab, Blue Go transit or bicycle. Many folks choose to walk here on warm summer evenings and return by taxi. Plenty of bicycle and kayak parking available.

    The food and drinks and delicious and our server was very helpful. However, the maitre’d was not very accommodating and tried to squeeze us into an undesirable table despite having a reservation and seated other parties of two after us at tables with much better views.

    Even though it was an at capacity crowd, we had great service, drinks, and food and got to catch a sunset going down over Lake Tahoe.

    We truly enjoyed everything about our evening at Riva. Our meal was phenomenal and so was the view. Service was exceptional. Menu entertaining.

    Great views of the lake and sunset made up for the extremely loud people on the 3 tables next to us who were talking across the tables. My ribeye steak was very good (and large) and would have been even better with a nice red wine (I think the wine served was corked, including the second glass out of a new bottle, and they took it off the menu). My wife like the tuna poke, but not the rest of her food. And, even though I had mentioned in the reservation that it was my wife’s birthday, no one at the restaurant took note.

    I booked this restaurant for my sister's Bachelorette weekend, and glad we started our night here. While the restaurant was busy, given the events in town and summer time, the staff were attentive to making sure our waters were full, we had our cocktails ready, and understood the questions we had on the menu. I personally got the Prime Rib, and while the garlic mashed potatoes were a bit strong, the meat was cooked perfectly.

    I ordered a Cobb salad I asked the waiter to split our salad but he didn’t it was difficult to split for two. I did tell the waiter but our other guest had their food so I didn’t want to be rude to our guest so we didn’t send it back. Plus it was noted it was our Anniversary but only acknowledged by the hostess

    Lovely dinner experience on the deck with a wonderfully attentive server and good quality food. The value is definitely above expectations and the service from parking to menu suggestions to relaxing timing of the meal to ambience all added to the enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Riva Grill!

    This used to be one of my favorites in SLT (even hosted our rehearsal dinner here). Not sure what happened, but our last visit (7/9/25) was awful. We asked for no tomatoes in our salads...2 of 3 had tomatoes. The chefs no longer know how to cook a steak medium. The first time it was well done and the second time, it was raw. It appeared the second steak was just microwaved when it was returned and was still purple in the middle. This was the place I recommended for our party of 5 and I was so embarrassed and will never return. The waitress informed us she would comp the steak, but charged us for the filet twice and comped one?? The GM finally fixed our bill after a long wait. The restaurant and view are fabulous! The salads and crab cakes were great! I just can't get over the filet fiasco and the (unintentional or intentional?) billing deceit.
