Home of the Wet Woody ® and storybook sunsets, Riva Grill is Tahoe South’s premier lake front restaurant located in the Ski Run Marina. The 3,000 square foot deck overlooking Lake Tahoe comfortably seats 200 guests and is a dining experience that is second to none. Floor to ceiling windows in the two-story restaurant provide an equally epic view of the Sierras and Lake. Since 1998, visitors and locals alike have flocked to Riva for the best food and service in town. Try the bacon-wrapped filet and scampi with Point Reyes Bleu Cheese butter, the renown grilled or blackened fish tacos with apple-jicama slaw and micro cilantro or any of their home made wood fired pizzas, to name just a few. Additionally, a visit to Riva Grill would not be complete without trying their world famous Wet Woody ® signature cocktail. There is always plenty of parking available at Riva Grill. Complimentary valet parking is provided, lunch and dinner, seven days a week during the summer season. Additional parking is accessible in the lot adjacent to Riva Grill where the first 90 minutes of parking is complimentary.

Riva Grill is centrally located in South Lake Tahoe where Ski Run Blvd. meets Lake Tahoe. We are one mile west of the Heavenly Gondola; on the south side of highway 50, and a quick ride by taxi cab, Blue Go transit or bicycle. Many folks choose to walk here on warm summer evenings and return by taxi. Plenty of bicycle and kayak parking available.

Right on the water and the views were lovely. Our waiter, Fizal (spelling ??) was fabulous. The filets were perfectly done and I loved the French onion soup. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and atmosphere. We would go again and highly recommend!

The meals are not inexpensive, but it was well worth the price. The location on the lake is beautiful. The menu options were varied, with choices from burgers to filet mignon and lobster. Our server, Dylan, provided great service throughout the meal. While dining here would not be a daily or weekly event, it's a great place to come back to for a meal you want to remember.

Our surf and turf dinner was just the most recent of a long string of outstanding South Lake Tahoe dining experiences at Riva Grill. We have never had a disappointing dining experience there. Our server, Dylan, gets major credit for his maestro-like welcome, his assistance with our selection of dishes, and then his working with the back of the house to allow him to deliver our entrees, and later dessert, at the ideal time. Riva Grill’s servers are the cream of the crop. Between their professionalism, the 5-star food quality, and the beautiful ambiance of the lakeside bar and restaurant, what’s not to like?

Enjoyed dinner on the patio overlooking the lake. The food was very good, our party enjoyed a burger and two different pasta dishes. The creamy sauce was too heavy for me but others enjoyed it, my seafood pasta was delicious but had way too much sauce in relation to the seafood and pasta. The prawn appetizer was my favorite. Not the best value overall but worth it for the experience of entertaining guests with lakeside dining on a beautiful evening.

Awful dining experience. We got there early and had drinks which were good. Sat for dinner and it was very empty. Our server spent 10 minutes talking to other diners outside and our food all arrived cold. He said he would talk to the kitchen and took the food away and we waited 10+ minutes with no communication. We walked out and told the manager and all she said was "OK" . At $50 a plate nothing was OK besides the drinks. They need to own their mistakes and we went elsewhere never to return.
