Good value for the price. Friendly staff.
By far one of my favorites in Boston!! They treat you like family!!
I loved the service and the food was superb. I had the scallops and shrimp pasta special and my friend the veal chop. Nothing remained on our plates.
Delicious food, but terrible service. We had to ask for bread twice, it took way too long for the main courses to be served, and we asked more than five times just to get water. They charged an automatic gratuity of 20 percent for our party of 6 (which I would have no objection to paying if the service were better).
We had a table on the top floor and loved the ambiance. The food was excellent too - I loved the gnocchi. The servers were really inattentive though. We waited a long time for menus, and had such a hard time tracking ours down for anything. Also, we got a bottle of the house montepulciano, which was not very good - I’d avoid it. On the whole, we would still come back to this place.
Food was excellent. We were there on a very busy night so service was slow. We had a reservation it were seated at a table that was normally for 5 but they used to seat 7 so needless to say it was very tight quarters
This restaurant is a gem....lived in Boston area for 60 years and there is not a more pleasant and fabulous place to enjoy an amazing evening. Service is great, atmosphere is awesome, and food could not be better.
Excellent attention to our dairy allergy!
Group of 8 and everyone really enjoyed their meals. Great quality food. Sergio was our waiter and he was fantastic. Very attentive, great personality. Will definitely go back.
Great service, they were very accommodating to my group and me.
Excellent food, excellent service. Very friendly owner who came by to check in and chat with us at our table - fun atmosphere excellent Embiance
Been going since my college days for over 19 years and Just as good as ever! Amazing lasagna!! Romantic and quaint especially lower level seating which you should request!
This was exactly the experience I wanted for out of town guests who wanted to eat in the North End. The food was delicious and the staff could not have been nicer. Will return again and again.
Food was excellent as was the service. The amount of food is very generous.
Every time we are in Boston Ristorante Saraceno is on our must do list. The food is absolutely delicious. Our party had linguine bolognese, lobster ravioli, chicken parmesan, tortellini, and chicken francaise over linguine. Every thing was delicious. The staff is very friendly, and the owner makes you feel as if he's known you forever.
Wonderful food. Met every expectation
Had not been back here on a while. Mistake....food and service wonderful as expected. Our favorite in North End. Veal was perfect, stuffed mushrooms delicious. A perfect lunch. Will be back soon.
The waiter and hostess were rude from the moment we sat down informing us that we only had 20 mins to order because the kitchen closes at 930pm. Who closed their kitchen the middle of a customer meal on a Saturday night? its fine if that’s the policy but don’t let us make a reservation in that case. The food came out and it was a joke of an Italian meal. The chicken Alfredo looked like microwave pasta from Trader Joe’s. Would not go back here. I’ve explored many gems in this neighborhood with amazing and authentic Italian. This is NOT one of them.
Saraceno's is always our "go-to" restaurant in the North End. There is never a long wait, the service is outstanding and the food is always consistently good! There is a great menu and the food is very reasonably priced! It is definitely a hidden gem of the North End - we love the top floor!
The food was ordinary in a neighborhood with excellent choices. We sat near door. It was 50 degrees and they would not close it when we asked.
Great location, great food, portions could be a little bigger. Service was excellent!
We loved the restaurant-when we arrived as though it was busy we were able to carry on a conversation. When we left we were so thankful to walk out the door! The noise level was so out of hand there was no way we could hear one another. We chose not to have coffee and dessert because it was that bad. The dinner, the service, the wine-all lovely.
More gnocchi on the dish next time please
Excellent food and interesting ambiance. The varied dining areas from the first floor to the basement, and up two floors offer a variety of seating options. The food was amazing - my shrimp scampi was not overwhelmed with butter. The pasta was delicious and the butter oil sauce was subtle and unbelievably tasty!
Excellent little Italian place on the North End side. Great food, good services, and very good overall experience. The food was well priced and hearty.
Enjoyed the entire experience here. The food was as described. Classic Italian dishes. A quiet atmosphere inside, in stark contrast to the bustle outside in the North End. Friendly staff.
If you’re driving, they do validate for self-parking for the Haymarket Garage Parcel 7, which is about 3 blocks away. Otherwise you can pay for valet ($25) right in front of the restaurant.
The food was delicious!!! The ambiance was nice. When I’m back in Boston I will be eating there again!!
Food was exceptional. Great wine list and waiter helps match wine to your meal choice. Authentic Italian. Warm and welcoming.
Food was great - it was VERY busy Saturday night and we had a reservation. Had to remind them a few times and push for a table but it was worth it.
It’s a tourist trap. Food was average, venue was crazy crowded, but service was good. There are better dining options than this in Boston.
Good variety of Italian specialties. Enjoyed the veal francese and was allowed some substitutions in a pasta dish. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Steep stairway if you eat upstairs!
Great food and service. Can’t wait to go back and try something different.
We wanted an authentic North End eatery that would work for two families with teens and tweens after a long day on the Freedom Trail. Saraceno, and especially our server, Sergio, did not disappoint. It was a perfect atmosphere for our group and kind of fun to be seated downstairs past the wine cellar. The dishes were delicious, with enough variety to please everyone in the group and reasonable prices. Super find thanks to OpenTable.
Food was okay, service as good as McDonald’s. Won’t be back as I was not that impressed and so many other good places in the north end to go to
Super crowded and loud. Gave us a seat in the Basement next to two big groups having celebratory dinners (bachelor and bachelorette parties). We asked if we might sit upstairs and that we were willing to wait, and they were very rude. We left and didn’t eat. Will not be going back or recommending to any friends or colleagues. Ended up going to nice Italian restaurant on Newbury street.
Food and service was amazing! Staff was great and super helpful!! Food was very delicious and well priced. Would go back again in a heart beat!!
We were celebrating a friends birthday.. The food was Great as well as the service!!
We had a great time. food was great. However...we had a 6:45 reservation and did not get seated until 7:30 and we could not get an explanation or estimate of how long it would be. Once seated, everything was great.
We had pretty high expectations and the meal was quite good. In the north end it represented Italian well. What was problematic was the very low light level, forcing use for the first time by me of a flashlight via my cell phone.
I think it is really nice and rated well. Our service was new to working tables and she really tried and just needs some more experience.
Food was tasty, however one of the meals served was a bit cold.
