Lovely ambience, good fun, owner is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend!
Delicious. Location is ideal. Perfect for a “North End” experience.
Excellent food ,service was outstanding and the food came out extremely quickly even thou the restaurant was full. Would go back in a second.
We had a late night dinner at this cozy place. Service and quality of the food were outstanding. They serve tender lobster and homemade vegetarian pasta as well. Tastes like the Italian food you get in Europe. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Delicious food and nice place to relax and enjoy the ambiance
Worst host and hostess ever! They were not prepared for my reservation and proceeded to give us all a hard time including yelling at one of my guests and not letting her in for five minutes
We celebrated my son's birthday on our first visit to Ristorante Saraceno last Saturday night. Had to make reservations "last minute" (late Friday night), but had no problem reserving a table for 5 at 7:30 PM. Service was EXCELLENT, house wine was wonderful, food was scrumptious.... love the ambiance. We will be back!!
Although we had a reservation, the hostess was very confused and ran us around their property finding our table. They have several options which includes their main dining and another upper level dining room that you have to go outside to access. Not happy with that whole process. Once seated, ( at a table that was acceptable), there wasn't a waitress assigned to our table. I made a comment to my husband which was overheard by what I think was either the owner or the manager. He was very accommodating; however, and we were able to enjoy the rest of our evening. I want to also mention here that the food was fabulous!!! I am also very critical of Italian food as I am Italian and was raised in a "food obsessed" family.
Horrible experience. Extremely rude. Got up and walked out
Great Italian meal at great American price. First time here, visiting from NJ. Red sauce phenomenal. Service superb: attentive and friendly. Booked table for 8 via Open Table on a Thursday for that Saturday (Presidents’ Day Weekend). Place was packed too! Would definitely return.
Great atmosphere and even better food!!
My boyfriend and I made a reservation for Valentine’s day this year. We arrived early and were seating promptly. The service was really great and fast. They were accommodating to my dietary need and the food was really wonderful! Desert was authentic and fantastic. Would recommend for date nights and romantic evenings.
Great experience, cute downstairs, good wine & love the ambiance! Have the Shrimp Carbonara even though it sounds strange
Food was excellent service was outstanding would go back when I’m in Boston. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food. Many authentic receipts on menu.
Our server was wonderful, she took good care of us. My linguini vongole was superb & so did the mushroom risotto. Will definitely going back when I come visit Boston.
Highly recommend!! Very romantic
Interesting and cozy decor; warm atmosphere; good food; excellent service
Very nice family owned and take pride in there business.. many locals having dinner
Very nice ambiance. Authentic Italian feel. Lovely waitress. Overall nice experience.
This authentically Italian restaurant truly shines. It is one of our very favorites in the North End. We dine here frequently as we live close by and all meals have been consistent, generous and well presented. The staff is friendly and very attentive. We took our family of seven to Saraceno for dinner on Christmas Eve and in spite of the exceptionally large numbers of people, everything was great. I hesitate to recommend specific dishes as I've tried many and one is better than the other. Enjoy!!
We stop here whenever we go to Boston. Food is delicious, reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. The kitchen is accommodating to special requests. It is a tiny seating area, very cramped, but still comfortable. It’s authentic.
Great little place
WAS just ok, many other better more authentic places nearby for Italian food
Great north end restaurant with excellent food and wonderful ambience-highly recommended for dates or really any occasion!
We went to Ristorante Saraceno on the coldest NYE on record for Boston. We were thinking about staying in due to the cold, but got a reservation and had heard good things about the restaurant so decided it was worth going out in the cold to give it a try.
Saraceno had valet parking, which was great because parking is a challenge in the North End.
We were with another couple and got a table on the 1st floor. We were greeted right away, and had a patient and friendly server.
We enjoyed the wine (we went with fairly inexpensive and were pleasantly surprised that it was so good) and the appetizers and entrees were excellent.
It was a perfect spot for us to spend NYE. Good food, good company, nice atmosphere.
New Year’s Eve
I made this reservation for my son and 3 of his friends on New Year's eve. His friends from out of state enjoyed the North End and the restaurant
Perfect for what we were looking for on New Year's Eve. Enjoyed our visit.
Fantastic find! My boyfriend and I took his family here for a late lunch and the food was incredible. Best Italian food we've had! The experience was great and the service was incredible. The owner was there who was very friendly and treated us like family. He also treated us with some limonchello to top off our meal. I will be going back!
I have been going to the north end for the past decade and would definately go back here. The upstairs dining room was quiet and relaxed and the service attentive. My only criticisim is that there was no sausage in the stuffed mushrooms.
We were seated in the basement which have very low ceiling. I found it very Closter phobic and I am not tall. Anyone over 6 ft would have trouble walking in this room. It might have been a better experience if we were in the upstairs dining room
Food was very good. Rooftop dining is beautiful. Italian type feel.
We have fallen in love with Saraceno. The restaurant gave us the feeling we were transported to the cave restaurants in Italy. The food was fantastic and I highly recommend the pillowy gnocchi- they lived up to the name.
Great Italian tomato sauce! Our waiter, Sergio, was efficient and knowledgable . Veal was tender and portions are just right.
Great dining experience. Wait staff is super friendly, helpful and attentive. Four cozy, small rooms to dine in. Was pleasantly surprised. :)
This is a basic Italian restaurant. It has all the basic meats, pastas, chickens and antipastos. The food is good, but it is not gourmet, and you should not eat there if you want a lot of vegetables. The wine by the glass list is abysmal. The value for the money is great if you want a basic Italian meal and a generic glass of wine or an Italian beer.
First time here, we were a party of 4 the place was packed, we had a reservation and had little to no wait, the wait staff was efficient but not very talkative The Caesar Salad was very good. We had the chicken, veal and eggplant parm, and a veal saltimboco. Plenty of food and everything was hot. House wine by the glass was $12 per glass but it was above average for a house wine. I would definitely go back and eat here again.
We have been here many times and never disappointed! The food is really good, the service is really good and the atmosphere is pretty! We will be back soon!
This was my second time come here and it disappoint. We ordered a bottle of the chianti because we knew it was good quality from our first visit. The calamari for appetizer was delicious and they were generous with the serving! I ordered fettuccini Alfredo and my partner had chicken parmigiana. Both extremely delicious and generous portions. Highly recommend.
The food was amazing. The staff was very nice. The restaurant was small but everything is in the north end. The bread and Cesar salad were so good.
Really good find; meal was terrific along with attentive unobtrusive service.
