Great place, there are a lot of great places in the North End but I keep coming back!
We were disappointed with the noise level and the lack of consideration from the other patrons.
We were moved upstairs and our server Eduardo salvaged the experience. We had a great intimate time and the food was fantastic.
Looking forward to returning to Saraceno but will request a table upstairs
Terrible first expression at reception, owner calling reception lady “stronza” won’t translate but it’s awful, basement rooms interior makes you feel like being in aquarium, for two course meal we spent two and a half hours waiting, food dissent but nothing special, toilets really bad, overall impression and suggestion: go some place else
Very nice dinner!
Consistently excellent food. Great service. The only reason I gave it 4, not 5, stars is bc at our most recent visit the portions seemed much smaller than usual.
We were so pleased with our experience at Ristorante Saraceno. There was no waiting for ur table, our waitress took our drink orders immediately and the dinners were excellent. I ordered the veal chop special. It was tender and juicy and stuffed with mozzarella and prosciutto, delicious. My husband said the lasagna was the best he's ever had. Kudos to the chef.
We arrived early for our dinner reservation and were promptly seated at the front window table; what fun to be able to people watch during dinner! The service was wonderful, the food delicious and we look forward to returning in the near future. Our guests had never tasted gnocchi before and are now spoiled because any other will not live up to tonight’s delicious pasta.
Wonderful setting, staff, and food.
Ristorante Saraceno was as outstanding as ever! Best Italian food in the North End...and that’s coming from an Italian guy from Brooklyn who was raised on mom’s Italian cooking!
Authentic North End Italian with a line out the door! Classics and new twists too. Superb wine list too.
Veal dish was nothing special. The basement seating had a hazardous waste cleanup smell to it! The basement headroom was barely 6 feet! A problem for people that are not vertically challenged!
we enjoyed the atmosphere and the food
Thank you for a nice dining experience.
We love Saraceno.
After trying several restaurants in the North End, we concluded Saraceno is our favorite.
The staff is warm and friendly, and the food is always outstandingly delicious...
We recommend to all of our friends and family!
We were seated in the basement, which suffers from air tinged with an antiseptic smell. This impaired enjoyment of the food, which was otherwise well-prepared. Service very friendly.
Waiter was great. Food was great. Nice old world north end atmosphere
The restaurant looks very small from the outside but is actually quite large inside. There are multiple floors. We were seated in the basement. The basement is old and smells of cleaning products. My entire party was very uncomfortable with the overall cleanliness of the restaurant.
When we arrived, we thought we’d be waiting as the dining room seemed very small but, there were two other rooms downstairs. The service was great, food delicious and overall atmosphere nice. Only PSA is the downstairs dining is probably not great for tall people because ceilings are very low - but that added to the ambiance.
We were seated upstairs in the noise level was extremely loud. We waited 55 minutes from the time we ordered our food until it was delivered. I have been to this restaurant many times and this was the first time that it truly disappointed me.
Fantastic food and excellent wine. A great atmosphere. Reasonably priced for Hanover Street
Wonderful evening for my friends birthday!
6'9" person in our party and we were seated in the furthest-deepest recesses of this place in a corner table where the ceiling highth was 6'3" at best. At least 4 tables for parties of 5 empty as we were led down this crazy path to the back table. Felt like that scene from the movie beerfest. Took more than 40 minutes for entrees to come. Come on people this is pasta not (insert you way complicated favorite recipe here)
We made a reservation made more than a week in advance. most tables in the cellar we ate in were empty.
Excellent across the board, food and service for party of 6. Only minor issue was that the wine list is pricey. Lowest price bottles (House chard and cab) were $39
Food was okay. Atmosphere was nice. Company was lovely.
Excellent all over!
Incredible Authentic Italian food. The best vodka sauce I have ever had. Everyone is very friendly and the service is excellent. Highly recommend!
The food was very good and reasonably priced. The tables are tight together, making it a little uncomfortable. We had to wait a considerable time to receive our check. After asking two staff members if we could get it I finally just stopped the waitress, handed her my credit card and asked her if she could please check us out so we could leave.
The upstairs is beautiful but the basement smells of Fabuloso and feels claustrophobic.
Their lunch specials are very tasty and a great value.
As always, great food, great service and a great location. Add in a nice bottle of Italian red and it was a killer evening
Two people waiting tables in the entire restaurant. Took over two hours to have dinner. Received the incorrect dish but didn't send it back for fear it would take to long to replace.
We have been to this restaurant many times, however this time was very disappointing. We had made reservations but when we arrive we ended up in the basement which is all tiled and was extremely loud. Service was slow, a table near us question why their food was taking so long on the server said he had 17 tables. The basement was so incredibly loud we couldn’t hear each other talk and extremely distracting . But he was very defensive about the questioning. To add to the situation our bill was $107 and change after I provided my credit card bill came back rounded up to 108. Although it was only since it’s the principle of it . Overall not a great experience
Menu was fantastic for group business dinner. Fantastic setting.
Frank was awesome. Had the window table and he chose everything for us. From the caprese and anti-pasta, to the bolognese, to the veal Marsala and Tuscan wine!! Not to mention the lemon cello. Another outstanding meal and experience at Saraceno. A must visit every time we are in Boston!
Service seemed a bit slow
Simply amazing! Great service. Amazing food and not touristy
Awesome! Food was fantastic, staff incredible, owner always present to welcome and ensure best service!
While the food and ambience was great as in past, disappointed with the distracted server on a night only moderately busy. I’ll return again but have had better experiences here
Ate upstairs - everyone in our party of 5 loved the ambience and the food! Chosen sea bass was a hit!
The lower levels not like cleaning products. It was hard to overcome.
