Ristegios Ratings and Reviews
Excellent place the hostesses were exceptional we could not get our normal table because there were so many of us but they did the best they could even came over to make sure we were ok with what they gave us. My favorite waitress Shana was not in so I am biased when it comes to the service because she is the best.
Excellent as always service is top notch food was amazing the flat bread with olives, artichoke and cheese was to die for my wife had the prosciutto-wrapped scallops and I had the braised short ribs both were excellent and we shared a baked Alaska for desert
First time dining at this restaurant even though it is only a few miles from my home. Friendly staff from the moment you are greeted by the valet attendant parking your car, to the interior hostess and servers. Nice decor gives the place a warm feeling. We were seated immediately and offered water and bread. Very nice menu and the waitress was helpful in describing the specials and entree. Drinks, salads and the main course all came out quickly but not so fast you couldn't enjoy the previous serving. Prices were comparable with similar dining experiences in the area. We will be going back again soon.
My husband and I have been to Ristegios before and it has always been a great experience. This was our first time there for Long Island Restaurant week and it was amazing. I was a little taken back by no valet especially because it was pouring rain but it was late and on a Sunday so I assume because it wasn't busy not worth paying to have valet. We met one of our friends, another couple there for dinner. They had never been and they were very pleased with everything. The service and the food were phenomenal. We will continue to go back and I think we have turned our friends into return costumers as well, well your food is probably what did it.
Great atmosphere and good spot for a date! Loved the live music after dinner! Our waitress was excellent. Personable and welcoming. The sushi and drinks were delicious. The main meal (filet mignon and chicken francese) were underwhelming. I asked the filet to be medium rare and it came out grey and well done. The chicken had no flavor...just bland and no lemon taste. The dessert which was a chocolate mousse was also not appealing as the wafers on top tasted like cardboard. Maybe chocolate on top of it would have been better and the mousse had an aftertaste.
They compensated us for the dinners and dessert and the waitress was so apologetic. We didn't even complain about the meals...she just noticed we weren't eating them and took care of it. Because of that and the ambiance, we would give this restaurant another try.
I had eaten here before for lunch and the food was good. However, we ordered from the price fix menu for dinner and it was extremely disappointing. The portions were extremely small, the flounder tasted like mustard ( which was not indicated on the menu) and I could not eat it. The soup was mediocre. I would not eat here again.
I had made a reservation the day before to Celebrate our Birthdays!
From the time we arrived the hostess was incredible... She was able to accommodate us with a seat to view the live band in the perfect seat!
Thank you kindly for that!
Our server was fantastic...Shankar I hope I spelled her name correctly! She gave us wonderful recommendations for our food choices...
I had the flounder which was cooked to perfection!
So glad I was able to order it they had run out
Shortly after that!
My friend had the pork she said it was delicious !!!
The band was fantastic...
I will definitely return and cannot wait to bring family and friends!!!
A wonderful venue
Thank you for making our Birthday dinner an evening to remember!
Place is GREAT! Not many places left that offer good food and live music. This time when we went there was a little commotion and let me tell you the bouncer was on this guys so quick, made him leave and come back looking presentable. Nothing loud, just quick and to the point.
We have beem here before and been satisfied, however, this time my husband asked for his leftovers to be packaged to bring home and although, another at the table got theirs packaged, his must have been thrown away. He asked the person where his was, and got a shrug of the shoulders. Since the entrees are fairly pricey, this was unacceptable.
I like the place because it is at least in my experience the only place you can go on Long Island for a good meal and a high quality cover band. I try to have dinner timed to end right around when the band is starting so about 15-20 minutes after stated start time.
It's an ecclectic array of foods. I love sushi, so if I feel like it, I'll have sushi to start and then have a basic Italian dish. I found the the sushi rolls to be fresh and tasty and the chicken parm was quite good. I didn't want to pop for the veal but they had many different varieties.
Since this was a return visit I expected an enjoyable dinner date. We were extremely disappointed. First we were brought to a table right under a air conditioning vent & it was freezing. After expressing our displeasure we were brought to a table on opposite side -under another ac vent. The noise level was horrible, the food was less than mediocre BUT our waiter "Jean" was very pleasant & polite & was tipped for his great attitude not the food or noise level.
