This was the ideal place to entertain out-of-town friends. Great food, very attentive and accommodating staff, lovely ambience with noise level low enough for our hearing-challenged ears to converse easily.
We always enjoy the fresh seafood! And our waiter Miguel was fantastic 😀
The food was out of this world wonderful and fresh. The service was perfect--he checked in with us at just the right times. We had a perfect evening.
Love ringside fish house! Always great service and awesome food!
A very good restaurant. Service was excellent, ambiance was good. Food was very very good.
We were recommended to ringside while we were visiting Portland and it did not disappoint
Our waiter, Nick, had great recommendations.
The pace of the service was exceptional: nothing was rushed. Thankfully, no one asked how the food was; the waiter knew. The sommelier took the time to chat a bit. Nice.
Excellent food and service.
I brought some friends from out of town in for dinner, we had an amazing experience at RingSide Fish House. From the moment we walked in we were treated like old friends. The host staff was very welcoming and professional. And well dressed, I appreciate that. Our server, Nick did a wonderful job. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, very helpful with wine choices, and very handsome. It's apparent that the staff here works well as a team, four staff members brought out our entrees, very impressive. This way we could all eat together and not be uncomfortable waiting for the rest of the food to come. The food was amazing. We had a salmon collar, octopus, and a whole, fried Oregon perch, to name a few of our choices. We could tell a lot of thought and care went into our dining experience. Thank you Ringside Fishhouse for a great time and great food.
Everything was very good. A little on the pricey side but well done! Very fresh seafood, well prepared. Our server was exceptional.
We visited the Ringside Fish House for our 30th anniversary. We had been there in the past. Everything about our dinner was excellent.
Great menu; fresh fish; attentive wait staff and very reasonable
We were headed to the Performing Arts play and they were very accommodating
So friendly, great location. Food was delicious.
Dinner before a show. Excellent Martinis, food and superb service.
Amazing food and a great open view of the downtown park. The seafood is super fresh and delicious. Service is great!
excellent service, knowledgeable staff. great elegant dining experience
Great food and amazing service! It was the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion!
Good when you have a business meeting and are on expense account.
Cousin's 60th birthday. Local pubs are "high dining" to her so spending an evening in a great restaurant with wonderful food and a super staff was a special treat for her.
I expected better quality of steaks (prime rib and special bone-in ribeye) given the prices. The salad was soaked in vinegar.
The food was divine & the service impeccable. Arrive early & have a classic American cocktail in the lounge (or you can eat there too). Out of the three entrees, Spouse had the steak and it was so flavorful & tender, our friend & I almost regretted getting the salmon & sea scallops, respectively. *Almost*. Will return to Ringside when we are next in PDX.
The Ciopino which my wife ordered was outstanding. I had the filet which was also very good. Good wine selection. Comfortable and relaxed.
Lovely evening. Thank you. Wait staff was excellent.
My husband and I have dined at Ringside Fish House twice in the last years to take advantage of their Pre-Theater menu. It is a prix fixe, three course menu that has not disappointed, both in value and quality. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The attire is “Northwest Cool”. Oh, and parking is paid at Fox Tower!
I love Fish House .
A great American classic restaurant .
what happened to the fantastic wine list you had ?????
It’s all mixed up on the card ...
and I , personally don’t won’t to think about Oregon Pinot noir ...
Yes it’s personal , not an offense . But , for me ,
It’s like loosing 50% of the attraction of the restaurant .
So , please , put your little bottles in a row .
Get a wine list easy to read by a French dude like me ...and see you soon ...
By the way , I want to thank you for the cold butter and salt . That was really appreciated .
The meal was great from start to finish, and best of all was the service!
We were in Portland for our 50th anniversary and chose favorite restaurants from when we lived there. Ringside Fish House beat them all -- even Jake's!
Great food, nice atmosphere, wait staff was courteous and pleasant
Went last night for the first time for our 21st wedding anniversary. Started at the bar while we waited for our reservation time, drinks are strong and the happy hour menu is fantastic with good prices. The service was outstanding in the bar and restaurant as well as the food. Will definitely be back again soon, thanks for making it a great evening. Side note, the steak bites and mussels for happy hour are great, the calamari was ok tender but not much taste. For dinner the halibut and whole perch was perfect as well as the oysters on the half shell.
This is the kind of restaurant that my out-of-town business guests like, but it is not my kind of restaurant. That said, the food was very good, the service was friendly and professional, it is a little expensive.
Despite plenty of top competition, Ringside Fish House stands out as my favorite Portland restaurant for top notch seafood. Ambiance, food presentation and flavors, and stellar service all in a very convenient location contribute to a great dining experience. I've had dinner there several times, but recently my wife and I celebrated our Wedding Anniversary. Shannon, our server, our sommelier, and the entire staff at Ringside Fish House made a wonderful evening truly memorable, and my wife and I feel truly special. Bravo Ringside!
We had a good time because we were old friends. My comments would be that the server was slow, bar service was slow, and some fish was undercooked.
My husband’s cioppino was the best he’s ever eaten.
My salmon tail was undercooked, returned for additional cooking, brought back to the table. It was so decimated after the server removed the fin that it really was inedible.
The service was lovely, ambiance nice though.
God food and good people
The crab legs were wonderful and great service. My only complaint is that my friend ordered a steak but couldn’t get a baked potato which I believe pairs great with a steak
Just a wonderful Sunday evening dinner, and half price wine is very nice!
Our dinner was delicious. It was a special 3 course meal plus we ordered the famous onion rings of course. I love the Ringside.
Steak was way over cooked. Service was good. Overall didn’t feel like good value.
We had a lovely evening celebrating my husband's birthday. Our waiter was attentive and the support staff were very thoughtful.
The bar was very loud (wood floors, couple of loud groups). Restaurant was fantastic as always. Great atmosphere and excellent service.
