It must have been an off night. They had no fish, sushi or shrimp for the night and we arrived at 7:00. Service was ok, but not as expected for the price of the restaurant. It took almost two hours to get our main course. Food we received was adequate but not stellar. I expected a lot more from this restaurant on all levels.
We had several meals at RM Seafood during our stay at Mandalay Bay, but the highlight was our Friday night dinner for five. Our server, David (aka Mr. Deeds) was outstanding. His knowledge of the menu was greatly appreciated, and his enthusiastic attitude was unmatched! RM had hosted a huge party earlier in the day and was “out” of some of the things we would have normally ordered, but Deeds directed us to other delectable options and entertained us all evening. We had a “reunion” of sorts with an old acquaintance and the entire staff was very accommodating as we sat at our table and reminisced for much longer than normal.
Convenient to Mandalay Bay convention hall. Good food.
The food and drinks were very good. A bit pricey, but to be expected for the Mandalay Bay area. We had a few sushi rolls and a nice mussels appetizer. Mussels were very good. Beer selection was OK. The place empties out by 9:00.
The service was inattentive and very slow this evening. I have been here before and had a much better experience then. We were a group of 7 and they added a large group service charge to our bill so I guess we paid extra for their slow service.
From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were pleased with every interaction with the numerous staff members we encountered. The menu was very interesting and we choose a variety of starters, then a main course and a fantastic dessert assortment. The wine selection was great also. Each bite of food was delicious! I’ve already recommended RM Seafood to a lot of my friends the next time they are in Las Vegas.
Great fish and a we have a wonderful engagement story
This is the 5th time here and by far the best restaurant we have been too! We reserved a table for 9:15pm and were running late due to traffic. The staff patiently waited and were extremely nice, accommodating and pleasant. Great service, fantastic food, awesome cocktails and all meals prepared perfectly ! Thanks for a great dining experience
The restaurant was not crowded but our server was clearly not interested in our experience as we were a non-drinking party of two. Meanwhile, a party of six men came in ordering wine and he was very engaged with them and frequently checked in with them, made conversation, etc. I understand the importance of chasing a big tip, but all customers deserve good service. I cannot remember his name but do remember that he said he was Hawaiian.
Extremely disappointing meal for a celebrity chef run place. Soup came out cold. Entree was over cooked
Good was excellent!
Service excellent!
Our only disappointment was that they didn’t have crab cakes! My wife loves crab cakes!
Tourist trap, very disappointed with the overall experience.
Was there for my Birthday great service food little pricey
The seafood was very good. The chef happily made special accommodations to ensure my food was cooked well since I’m pregnant. Our server was very busy and, therefore, a little rushed, but he made great recommendations and service was still excellent. The restaurant was chilly, but otherwise nice.
Spectacular seafood! Impeccable service!! A must dining experience!
Food was outstanding - and we’re picky about seafood. Service was perfect - just the right amount of attention without hovering. We’ll be back for sure!
First time guest and will definitely be back! Wonderful!
This restaurant was recommend by a friend in Houston. My husband and I were seated by the hostess. No one came to our table for 10 minutes. The assistant to the waiter came by and gave us water. About 5 minutes later a man showed up to our table and asked if we had any questions. He did not introduce himself. I asked him if he was our waiter and if he recommended the grilled octopus. He told us that they ran out of octopus. He did not offer any other suggestions. We went ahead and ordered the rice crispers from appetizer choices, they were good. He came back a few minutes later and asked us if we wanted something to drink. My husband and I decided to leave after this and eat our main course at another restaurant. Horrible service. I would never go back. Many more wonderful options in Las Vegas with wonderful service!!
We have never been to a Seafood restaurant that did not have Crab or Lobster Tail. The menu on Open Table is not what is available at the restaurant and the salad was horrible . Scallops were good but only three for $32.00. A bowl of Clam Chowder was $16.00 and had more bacon than clams . Very expensive!
And not worth the $$$.
Nice restaurant. Service is nice too. I’ve cream tasting game is fun!
Go somewhere else. We ordered shrimp tempura to start - it was just greasy. I asked for manhattan, it tasted like sweet brown water with some nondescript alcohol thrown in. We left.
Rick and his staff do an outstanding job. We have visited on several occasions and never been disappointed. I highly recommend.
Lunch menu was all cold plates. Not a lot to choose from.
EXCELLENT. 4.5 stars. YES we would go back. DETAILED LONGER VERSION: We are Vegas locals and have been to Rick Moonen's RM Seafood 3 times. We expected a great meal and service - and got just that. Wines by the glass (and bottle) had a limited, but nice selection. Our two Martini's were perfect - very yummy. SERVICE: Excellent from CJ. She was there when you needed her and timing was perfect. FOOD: Ordered the Clam Chowder and House Salad - very good. Swordfish and Crab legs for entrees. Nothing left and we are not big people. All Excellent - very tasty and the right amount to share. OVERALL: A very nice experience, RM is a bit more casual than other high end places, but the seating is satisfactory on the main level. A nice place before a show in Mandalay Bay or Luxor. Yes, we Recommend.
Great experience
Food was good but service was very slow.
Amazing food and service!! Don’t stop what you’re doing because it’s pure perfection!
As a frequent Las Vegas visitor, I always try to visit RM. This time it was a ladies trip, and the 4 of us loved everything put before us. Calamari was the best any of us ever had.
The entrees were delicious, branzino and the fish special were outstanding. The waiter David was very attentive, and we even had a visit from the chef to see how things were. Would definitely recommend this place!
We started with the oyster sampler - delicious!!! We both had the surf, surf, and surf special. Lobster, Shrimp and Scallops in a wine sauce. Exceptionally delicious. Our waiter was helpful and super friendly (David). We also tried the dessert sampler. More than we could handle! It's pricey, but worth the $$.
味付けも濃くないので、日本人にもピッタリで、肉もロブスターも美味しいと思います。
また機会があれば、必ず行きます!
The noise was so bad we couldn’t have a conversation. Terrible table placement. The Grouper fish tasted “fishy” and dry. Grilled shrimp were delicious. Overall very disappointed.
Excellent in all aspects!!! I highly recommend this restaurant in Las Vegas
The 16 scoop ice cream guessing game was perfect for our multi aged table birthday dessert. Plus we had the dessert sampler which was really good too!
Very pleasant experience to eat while in Las Vegas.
Two orders of clams full of sand.
First steak came out over cooked.
Although bought us a drink, was shocked they actually charged for the steak after all the mess ups and delays.
Great oysters and scallops
Very disappointed. Wine list was overpriced. You pay 7 - 8 times the prices of a bottle. They sell a Pinot Noir 2014 on wine list and they bring you a different bottle (2016) at the same price! We chosed a other bottle and they did the same thing again! The size of the plate was ridiculously small!!! Don’t go there , it’s a scam.
Been here three times now and everything has been spot on. This is some of the best fish I have every had as well. Sushi is outstanding as well.
The wait for our food was almost 2 hours. 6 different errors on our table between 8 people trying to be served. Food was sub-par.
Usually I loved their food. Usually I loved their service. I have been there about 6 other times where it was decent.
This was the most horrible experience I ever had. The management, when trying to fix it, messed it up even more.
Such a shame for such a decent place.
We came for happy hour and came back for dinner!
