So this was a belated valentine's diner. We were seated quickly and service was amazing. The food was good but extremely pricey for what you got. I found a hair on my plate and they took my plate away not once but twice. The first was to "replate" my food. The second time was to bring a whole new plate of food. Even though the service was great it was slow. We watched several customers around us come in after us eat a three course meal with drinks and leave before we were finished with our meal. We were seated around 6pm and left well after 9pm. The ambitious was pleasant enough to stay comfortable but it was still a rather long dining experience. I can say I've been there but I'd choose the West End Grill over Nantucket any day.

Party of 4 had a wonderful dinner prior to going to a show at the peace center. Our server was attentive and anticipated our needs. The food was delicious as always. Will definitely go back without hesitation.

We are fans of Rick Erwin's restaurants. Nantucket is a specialty theme of seafood. Our server Sarah was amazing and enjoyable to talk with. We ate our meal in the bar area and enjoyed the ambiance. Our food was just okay. Birthday man's steak was dry. My scallop plate was not warm when served. We didn't complain, as we enjoyed ourselves anyway.

We made reservations and ended up waiting over 30 minutes for our table and had to remind the hostess we were waiting. The server was excellent but it’s hard to get over the rude hostess when it’s your first impression of the restaurant.

We chose Nantucket as the birthday dining locale for my father's 63rd & mother in laws 70th birthday. Although that was noted in the reservation, our server appeared to have no prior knowledge, a detail that several other high end Greenville restaurants do not overlook. That aside, the food was good, however, is usually outstanding. It was apparent that our entrees sat under the heat lamps for a long time as the crab cakes were dried out & the plates were scolding hot. Our party ordered the surf n turf (excellent), the scallops (good), two specials of crab cake, scallops, & lobster tail (good) & the fried shrimp meal (very good).

Our service, on this occasion, was fair at best. It is usually much, much better. Our server, Slade, did not even initially visit our table to take the drink order for more than 15 minutes then returned 10 minutes later without drinks to inform us that the bottle of wine we ordered was no longer available. We ordered a substitute. When that bottle was brought to the table, he served the taster to the wrong person (not a big deal). The salads & soups were served promptly however there was a very, very long time between service of salad & entrees with no check backs, explanation, or even drink refills. The salad soup dishes were not cleared & the drinks were not refilled until I asked for our server. It almost seemed as the water servers & helping staff were new. I witnessed our server specifically direct them, play by play, what to do at each table. I do believe that our food was prepared well but simply sat under the lamps entirely too long which dried out the scallops & crab cakes. Our server did not offer a birthday dessert to my father or MIL. We don't mind paying for dessert however an acknowledgement would have been nice. Finally, when he brought our check to the table, he gave the carry out container to the wrong person (only 1 person had food to go). Overall, our service was disappointing on this occassion.

We were at Nantucket for Valentines night. Usually the food and service is top notch. However things are evidently changing. First our martini's were much smaller than in the past, we also ordered ours extra chilled and ours were slightly chilled. We ordered surf and turf ( their specialty ) and the meal was cold especially the mashed potatoes. Waitress was not very engaging. Overall not a great experience especially with so many great places to choose from downtown. It will be awhile before we return.

This was our second time eating at Rick Erwin’s Seafood. The first visit was wonderful- service just right and food perfect. Not sure I can say the same this time.
We made a reservation for Valentine’s Day and I think that may have been the problem.
Again our meal was wonderful. We started with she-crap soup and the lump crab meat appetizer. Our main courses were the lobster tail and grouper. All perfect.

The issues this time was the wait staff. We waited a long time for our drinks and had to ask if they forgot them. My husband wanted to substitute one vegetable for another with his entree and she had to go and ask the kitchen if it was possible. When you are paying 34$ for an entree switching from Brussels spouts to snap peas and carrots should be done automatically. We asked for the dessert listed on the special and again she has to go and ask.
Simple changes shouldn’t be an issue in this level of restaurant.

Don’t get me wrong- We will certainly go back - Just on normal evening.

This was our first time at Rick Erwin's group of restaurants and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was romantic, the food exceptional and the service very good. We will come back!

We have gone to Nantucket's for special occasions for several years. However, our last visit was a definite step down. The price is still up there, but little service activities were missing. These may sound petty, but they things we had liked and are now missing. No changing out napkins for clothing color. No scraping off crumbs from the table. No attentive service--looking for our waiter a number of times. Additionally, we went the day before Valentine's and the prices seemed to be jacked up. A favorite was the 3 courses for $42 from which we always chose the surf & turf and the coconut cream pie. Well that was replaced by 3 courses for $69 with some of our favorites missing. It still has good food, but the lack of specialness of the experience will probably have me looking elsewhere next time.

Pre-opera meal. I had the special and my wife had grouper. The food was excellent but the service was pitiful. We had to run across the street to get to the show on time. Rick was not there doing his usual rounds and I'm sure he would never let that happen on his watch

I have always loved Nantucket but this was not my best experience. We (group of 6) arrived slightly before 5 PM for our reservation and upon being seated our waitress asked if we were attending the show across the street at the Peace Center. The show was at 6:30, plenty of time! We told her we were and she assured us they would accommodate us in a timely manor. By 5:55 she could see the concern on our faces when our food had still not arrived. I'll also add multiple tables of 2-5 were sat after us and had already eaten and paid and none of us ordered anything out of the ordinary. Three of the six of us had ordered the three course meal so when we were given our entrees at 6:05 we asked for our dessert and checks. She apologized we had to rush through our meals but no reason was given as to why our food took so long. The manager also came by to apologize but again no reason for the wait was given and we had to ask for our checks again. We took a few bites of our dessert as we rushed to sign our checks twice. No one asked for any sort of discount or compensation for our rushed meal but I feel something should have been offered as we didn't even get to enjoy it. We were there for an hour and 20 min and had our meal, dessert and checks all within the last 15.

Everything about the venue is outstanding. The service, the food, and the ambience.
You won't find seafood nearly as great as here unless you're right on the coast.

Do make sure you're dressed for the occasion, well behaved, and ready to pay a hefty bill though.

We went out the weekend before Valentine’s Day. The service was a bit slow although they seemed well staffed. The Surf and Turf was a little disappointing. The steak was cooked well but it had absolutely no seasoning on it. No basic salt or pepper. It was the 4oz so I just seasoned myself. We sat at a large round table for 2, it was not the most intimate setting this time. It was just ok. Nothing that made me say wow for $130. Something seemed off about the service. There was a long gap between the first course and second.

The Seafood Tower was OUTSTANDING !!!! Service was excellent and the entire mood and feeling of the restaurant was very pleasant... Thought I would spend more than I did.. so don't let the fact that prices are not on-line deter you... Great value and fun A++++ Will be back

This was our 1st time visiting Rick Erwin’s. We were celebrating a early Valentine’s Day with dinner & a show. We booked our reservation 2 months ahead of time to make sure we were able to get a table. This was the weekend before Valentines week. The food was delicious & the waiter was fantastic! However we were very disappointed on how long we had to wait to get a table after making reservations so far in advance! We had to wait 30 minutes which put us having to rush to eat our dinner. The waiter was wonderful & was apologetic about our situation. We literally had to run to get our seats at the show. I hope this review will help in the future regarding how serious it is to get customers in & out when someone has made a reservation.

Something has changed. We have been to Nantucket's on many occasions and always look forward to it. This time the food was okay, not up to their normal standard and the wait time was excessive - we had reservations. For the money paid, I do not think it was worth it. We were disappointed. We may try again, but its hard to spend that kind of money if you aren't sure your meal is going to be good.

Excellent food, unobtrusive but excellent service, special attention to detail (had informed restaurant it was an 80th birthday celebration). There was a signed birthday card on the table and a dessert with candle was served. Nicely done, just the right balance of special attention without hovering. Great valet parking service, very convenient for attending show at Peace Center. Highly recommend.
