The Spiegeltent is the SummerScape festival's oasis, a place to enjoy seasonal, locally inspired food and drink before and after performances. The lovely outdoor garden provides the perfect spot to relax in the company of friends and festival artists long after the curtain comes down.

For guests who are not attending Spiegeltent performances, please note that after 6:45pm tables inside the tent may not remain private due to cabaret seating.

Great atmosphere, mediocre food. I know it's a "pop-up," but the food doesn't have to be bland. And if it must be bland, might the prices be a bit more reasonable?

I would recommend it because it is so convenient to eat there before or after a performance. But I didn't think the food was as interesting or as tasty as I remembered it from recent years. The service was excellent and I didn't feel rushed, which was nice since I was having lunch with people I don't see often and it gave us time to catch up.

It is the only place to get a meal before attending a Bard Summerscape peeformance. So they have a captive audience unless you want to picnic. The menu is limited. The dishes are mediocre and small. The prices are high. I have eaten here several years and the food does not improve, but the service is superfast probably because most things are pre-made. I recommend picnicking.

They refused to honor our CONFIRMED reservation. We drove hundreds of miles to bring our granddaughter for the experience of the Spiegeltent. When we arrived they said since ewe did not have tickets to the 7:00 p.m. evening performance they would not seat us in the tent. We knew there was a performance scheduled and when I tried for tickets they told me that I would have no trouble eating before the performance. Even after I produced the Open table confirmatioin they would not seat us. Very disappointing. The setting was beautiful BUT we never got a chance to enjoy it. Would recommend if they honored reservations.

Quite a rarefied setting where food, ambience and service are tempered by something magical in the air. Thanks so much for presenting this unique experience. We anticipate future outings and reminisce fondly about past ones.

You can't beat the Spiegeltent for a unique, almost magical dining location, add to that the tasty food offerings, and it makes for a lovely dinner experience!

The Spiegeltent is a fun place for a show. The tent itself is worth seeing, full of mirrors and crystal chandeliers. Several different types of shows to suit your taste. The food is convenient before a show, but not fine dining. The menu is limited and somewhat odd. We both had a spaetzle with sausage and veggies. The portion was fine, and it was good, but nothing more. Furthermore, it was the only choice that interested either of us. The flourless chocolate cake was ok, but I have had so much better.

Everything was wonderful, except for the classical music playing in the background. It was loud and annoying, not something to eat dinner to.
