Great service. Temperature of our fish wasn’t right. Overall good experience. I would go back.
Our first sit-down, outside, served restaurant meal since March 2020. It was wonderful all around. Riley was delightful and took excellent care of us. Would highly recommend Rhubarb and, in particular, the mushroom cavatelli and chicken.
The food was delicious, and the service was as excellent!
Appetizers and desserts were good but I got the pasta dish as my main course and the portion was very small.
Crazy inventive, fresh food that tasted out of this world!
We went for an early dinner. Our server was Riley, and she was amazing. The food was delicious — the watermelon basil soup was absurdly good, as was my husband’s boudin sausage, the goat cheese and peach appetizer, and our main courses. I had the sirloin and he had the trout, and both were absolutely scrumptious. The wines were excellent; my first was the Riesling, perfectly chilled, and I switched to the Malbec for my main, which was good, but not as fruity as I like. I had the Semillion with my dessert — the peach sundae — and while they brought the Sauvignon Blanc, they immediately realized their mistake. We were all masked and it’s hard to hear through a mask. They immediately remedied it and brought me the correct wine, and I was one happy camper. Could not recommend Rhubarb enough!!
We enjoyed our experience and food. Service was very good. Restaurant is located in the heart of the action in downtown Asheville.
A bit overrated. Food was good, menu was limited. Service was below expectations (took 10 minutes and then had to remind our waitress to get a glass of wine I ordered.) She had an attitude.
Went to Rhubarb while on vacation. Food is great! Service was fantastic - server was knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. Highly recommend
Great service, great ambiance with a downtown vibe and excellent food.
Booking 2 weeks in advance allowed us to reserve a table outdoors. Beware if you think the noise level will be less than at an inside table. Directly next to the outdoor patio is a prime spot for street groups to set up and "serenade" the appreciative (read that, loud) people surrounding them. Until the night's group unhooked their amps and departed our foursome needed to shout to be heard across the table. Next time- inside table. Aside... Carrie, our server, was excellent. Knew the menu and the wines and offered suggestions on both. The entree portion of the menu is not expansive but the unusual appetizers/ small plates add just enough to the meal. Carrie checked on us often, always at hand to fill water glasses and remove used plates and wine glasses. She was a 10 at a time when good servers are sorely lacking in most restaurants.
Great restaurant serving locally sourced food. A must in Ashville
We have been on vacation in Asheville for a week… trying different restaurants each day…. this was by far our favorite!!! Food was superb. Everything was ‘farm to table ‘ fresh and dishes were creative and excellent. Waitress very attentive. Our only down side was band outside ( not associated w Rhubarb) was a little loud.
All our food was very good..beautifully presented. Service was very good. Sitting out side was noisy because of the street musicians performing at the entrance to the restaurant which made it difficult to carry on a conversation at times.
Delicious, innovative food, attentive and knowledgeable service. Outside dining included great live music compliments of local talented street musicians!
Everything, even a 'simple' steak, was executed to perfection. A highlight of our recent trip to Asheville.
The best meal we had in Asheville!
Server was superb.
The food was well prepared with interesting favors and textures. The wait staff was attentive.
The food was very good and the overall experience was nice. We will definitely return.
Good service. Delicious food.
Service was a little slow. Quality food at a reasonable price for what you get.
Very small portions
It was wonderful. We had hoped for a better table but we were next to the kitchen. Though everything was great and service fantastic. We were just looking for a more intimate seating.
Dinner out for two on vacation. We ordered some small plates to share and then a large meal to share.
Service was prompt. They asked if we had any dietary limitations and we explained we were gluten free (tolerance) The server explained there were only two things they couldn’t accommodate and we didn’t order those
When the first two items came they both had gluten in them. No big deal, we are around it.
The small plates came out really really fast. We had plates stacked up and couldn’t really enjoy each. They needed to better pace orders.
The flavors were good but the execution wasn’t. The shrimp were hard and chewy, the soup lacked seasoning, the barata was awesome and so was the chicken.
Overall, good but not great. If you are picking between here and Curate, Curate won hands down.
Food was ok, but disappointing. Very few choices. Salad option was embarrassing as there were so few additions to the lettuce.
Amazing brunch at Rhubarb! Literally every single thing we ordered tasted incredible! Also love that the tables are spaced out because some downtown restaurants are way too crowded. The space is big, much bigger than it appears on the outside. Great experience!
Great farm to table brunch!
My party of 6 went for Sunday brunch. Our waitress was friendly, but we felt a bit rushed when we asked questions about certain items on the menu. Our cocktails took a long time to come out, and the waitress continued to push for our orders even before we were served our cocktails. The food was very good…in particular, the chicken biscuit was ridiculously flavorful and the omelet was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Overall, we enjoyed eating at Rhubarb and will try to come for dinner next time instead of brunch.
We were seated properly with our reservation outside very good waiters nice food My egg was a little overcooked on the quinoa egg potato hash but still good - a def must visit !
Although the food was decent, nothing really stood out.
One of the best meals we've ever had. Unquestionably the best (just barely) under $100. We ordered five small plates -- the goat cheese burrata and lamb ribs are life-changing. For dessert, the rhubarb upside-down cake is exquisite.
The best restaurant in Asheville in my opinion. Had a great table and excellent food.
Vanessa, our waitress was very professional and knowledgeable.
Food was good as expected, and service was efficient. Atmosphere was a little frenetic.
We celebrated my birthday at Rhubarb and had wonderful, flavorful innovative food. Loved every tapas we ordered and the brownie dessert was scrumptious. We will be back to Rhubarb every trip to Asheville. Highly recommend!!!
Sat outside, great view, fun people watchig.
Service is excellant, food great, those hush puppies are heaven.
Service and food was outstanding.
Any time I find myself in Asheville Rhubarb is my favorite restaurant to visit. This was my first time coming for brunch and it did not disappoint. Our server was Kelso and they were fantastic! The food and drinks were all wonderful. This is definitely the spot to come with good friends, family, or on a date.
Excellent small plate selections. Great cocktails.
Perfect service, wonderful food. Could not have been better. LOVED the hush puppies and cucumber soup. Honestly best meal and service I have had in awhile.
