The menu on the website did not exactly match the menu on the table. I chose this place for something very specific which they had taken off the menu. What we did order, the bolognese and pesto seafood pasta, was amazing.

The tasting menu was very delicious; however on the smaller side. The flavors and complexity of the dishes showed the creativity of the chef. There was a good mixture and d flavors and textures to keep you guessing. One of the drawbacks of one of the dishes was that they forgot to take out the star anise pod from the dish. I love star anise for the flavor, but biting into the pod was a little too much for me. Service initially was very good, but slowed down as we got into the meal. The view from the restaurant was wonderful, and on a clear day, would have really enhanced the experience. I would definitely go back again.

Honestly, it was one my best dining experiences so far. Service staff was very personable and friendly. That’s what made our experience amazing and I would definitely return based on that.

Beautiful setup and excellent service staff. A bit surprised that food was rushed out in no time particularly for a fine dining establishment. Appetizers were out at the same time the sommelier finished opening and pouring our bottle of wine. Food was average for my taste.

Impeccable service, unique, generous and beautifully fresh dishes served in a stunning setting. It would be appreciated if the outdoor tables and chairs were not lined along the wall and distracting us from the glorious view of Diamond Head…. The outdoor area needs attention; but otherwise a perfect evening and our complements to the chef, staff and owners of this beautifully revamped restaurant that we once overlooked due to its once mediocre menu. The current menu is vibrant and exciting; the best presentation and flavor profile of oysters! Chilled Coconut foam with calamansi bathed fresh oysters in a dream of tropical ethereal bliss!

We always have a wonderful dining experience at 53 by the Sea. Our assigned staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and the vibe was great. There was even the surprise of a small cake for the bride and groom in our party. People around us were laughing and enjoying their meal, taking pictures of the amazing scenery and loving the ambience as well. We LOVED it!

Great anniversary dinner with the tasting courses. The ahi tartare and potato puree were great additions to our meal. Ysabelle and the team rocked it, highly recommended! It really felt like a special night celebrating my anniversary with my girlfriend. ❤️
