We had a bit of a misunderstanding with the chef but our server was amazing and above and beyond.

I used to live here in Anchorage for 47 years and have visited this Benihana‘s many times. I was here last September and had the worst service of any Benihana‘s. I’ve ever been to. The manager at that time reached out to me and gave me some gift certificates back in the Phoenix area, where I currently live. We decided to give it one more try when we were up here this June. We won’t come back to this Benihana‘s again. We were there for lunch, but we ordered off the dinner menu. Just like the first time when we got the vegetables had about three spoons full where it used to be you got about a half a plate full. This particular time I had the land and see which I believe was a fillet and scallops.. I got five scallops on my plate. I asked to cook I said you have to be kidding me right? This meal cost close to $60. In between trips to this Benihana‘s, I have been to the Scottsdale Benihana several times and they give you a full plate of vegetables and value for your money. The Benihana in Anchorage does not. As I said we gave this Benihana a second chance we will not come here ever again.

We had a fantastic dinner and they allowed my friend and I to sit and catch up and no one bothered us or made us leave. We only stayed because it wasn’t overly packed that night. So it was a great experience. The service and staff were attentive and friendly.

Our server was serving the whole restaurant therefore it took forever to get our orders in. The cook not chef who cooked the meal on the hibachi was very very slow he cooked one meat, seafood at a time. The other tables got a different cook after our table and they were done before our cook cooked the last meal. The prices are outrageous. The bar also very high prices 2 drinks at the bar $60. The place was very dirty with food on the floor. We have been to many Benihana’s all over the country and this location for the prices they charge is definitely not worth it. Will not recommend at all.

Food was bland in taste. Was the protein was severed first which i'm use to the rice being first and then protein. Yum Yum sauce wasn't like normal. veggies had no flavor.

Our food was so salty and the shrimp was not deceived. Lost my appetite between the two and $100 was wasted on a meal we didnt eat. I work hard for my money and to throw it away while trying to celebrate a birthday is ridiculous

Our tepan chef Irving was wonderful, we felt like old friends talking with him. Excellent knife skills and fun little tricks for my birthday. We had so much fun forgot to use my birthday coupon from Benihana.
