   Have been a fan of this restaurant for many years. Fantastic food, ambiance and service with a lively welcoming neighborhood feel! Prices are very reasonable as well for the quality of the food. A few of my favorites - the PEI mussels and the Crostini are both sold choices for an app, the Lombatello Salad is oh so satisfying as is the Salmon Salad. Super fresh ingredients and the steak on the lombatello salad is always cooked to perfection. If you have a bigger appetite than the salad with protein options, the L'amfettte or the Brisket Ravioli are two all time favorites! I mean, you can't really beat handmade pasta, right? Go check em out and support this awesome little gem in the heart of South Austin!

   We ate at the special Tour de Forks dinner last night, which featured Provence. Appetizer was simple but outstanding. Salad was fresh and delicious. Main course was a type of beef stew over mashed potatoes. Again, simple but good. Dessert was the fabulous lavender creme brulee. Service was quick and friendly. My only negative was that the hostess was chewing gum, which is unprofessional and unappetizing. My sister and I have been coming here for years, but this was our first Tour de Forks. Cafe Malta is our favorite restaurant in South Austin.

   A great neighborhood restaurant. Excellent service, and the unique idea of having an international dinner on a regular basis is brilliant! Has a lot to do with the success of the Malta Cafe. We go there frequently. Well done!

   Set menu was a bit under-whelming; we were early, and servoce was very slow, even with only 6 other patrons there....

   The food was very good other than the risotto. Drinks were excellent. Great vibe. Some of the food was not very hot but tasted very good. The risotto special needed some work. It was oversalted and not creamy like a risotto should be. But- definitely recommend.

   Such a gem ! Truly fantastic food and drinks! Great service! Don’t make it that far south very often but will make an exception for Malta!

   My family has been going to Cafe Malta for years--we are big fans. Our last couple of visits, however, have been disappointing. Last night, three of us had pasta dishes that were a little tasteless. The other had the Snapper Provencal, which was overcooked; the accompanying couscous and collards were over salted. We love the ambience of Cafe Malta and the friendly staff, but the food quality appears to be slipping (despite higher prices).
