Couldn’t find our reservation, but sat us anyway and were sweet. Food was delicious. I ordered lemon potatoes as an appetizer and barely got a bite of them, the whole table realized how good they were and ate them all in like 45 seconds.

Every time I visit NYC, I visit them and this time was just as exceptional as the last. Their food is superb, their customer service is superb, and the ambiance is so beautifully quaint. It’s incredibly cozy in there which was a little offputting during a pandemic but appears to be true to culture so it was okay. The seating is small so squeezing all of our food onto the table was a challenge but we made it through. I will definitely be returning again the next time I visit NYC.

This place makes you feel as if you are eating at a restaurant in Greece! The food is authentic and fresh and the portions are good for sharing as well. The service was fast and friendly - definitely recommend!

Decent amount of outdoor dining and good spacing in between tables. Service was great and food was very good. They have a good selection of Greek beer and wine too.

I have been to Greece and a lot of Greek restaurants. One staple I like to order is spanakopita. I wasn’t that hungry and had only the spanakopita that evening. I thought it was just OK. It was not delicious. Cute restaurant but not sure if I go back there again.

There’s better Greek food in the city! The souvlakis are very small. Overall food is good not great. Also not a ton of breathing room. Tables and chairs are ON TOP of each other

Surprisingly good. Went post-theater with a friend. Were early; were shown a table inside. This was a Saturday night, and after sitting down for approximately 45 seconds, we both decided we could not stay. Not only was the noise level too loud to hear oneself think (much less talk) but the quality of the sound, bouncing off the charming white-washed walls was positively ear-piercing. We were given a choice of eating outside, which we happily took. Although the tables and chairs are placed at a rather alarming slant, we found that our food and drink happily did not slide into our laps. The front-of-the-house-fellow (manager, owner, I do not know) was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and attentive. Answered all questions about nut content, etc etc. Noted that I almost did not order the lamb-burger because it came with a side sauce made from beets (I hate beets). Did order it, and it arrived with a tzatziki side sauce instead. All of the food was excellent and the portions enormous. We'd ordered a pair of appetizers to share and each our own main course. Both of us took home enough food for another meal. Recommend it heartily for food and service alone; and who anyone who doesn't mind very loud ambient noise (the place was packed). On a night other than Saturday, and a time other than 9 pm, it's probably fine, and the indoor space is quite charming. Will be back.

Missing Greece, dine at Souvlaki GR! The restaurant resembles a street somewhere in Greece with the classic blue and white color scheme. Tables are small so you need to tuck in but the food and overall experience make it our favorite stop for authentic Greek cuisine. Our group of three started with three spreads with warm pita triangles. We shared a chopped salad and dined on the mixed grilled meats! All delicious and fresh, and more than enough. The house white wine is mild and fruity. On a busy night the noise level makes it a bit challenging but overall, the food and service is why you’re there!!

The food was amazing the french fries, however, a bit disappointing. We expected that the ambiance would be more lively with people singing along to the Greek & Turkish music like we've seen on instagram. We'll be trying midtown next time and maybe we'll find that there!

Delicious food, especially vegetarian options. Salads are large and priced well, but appetizers are a little pricey. Music was too loud and made it hard to have a conversation, and better air conditioning would have been nice.

I wanted to eat Greek food with my family, and the food they provided was really delicious. The meat is well-done and the seasonings are just right. we all ate happily without any food left. The inside seat is very cool and the entrance is a little hot, so please refer to it when making a reservation.

Do yourself a favor and buy a bottle of wine - the glasses are really small and still 12-14 bucks. Service was spotty and she was doing me a favor by taking our order. Wouldn't let us order a starter first - had to order the meal together. Sounds to me like they are forgetting that it's the customer experience that matters - not their profit-maximizing rules.

We come from Italy and We are in NYC for vacation, this is our 2nd time in Souvlaki and We love it for the Greek food that's very good... great service too. Just a little bit noise for the high volume of the music into the restaurant.
