I treated by best friend to high tea here for her birthday and we had the BEST time. Our server was incredible and treated us so well. He was able to accommodate one of us being gluten free and that was so nice. The tea was yummy and the food was delicious. There was also a harpist playing so that was a wonderful added touch! Would totally come back here. It's worth the price.

The best breakfast in San Francisco. A very upscale decor in one of the iconic Nob Hill Grande Dame Hotels. A wonderful place to take friends and family that they might recognize the way F&B should be. Trained staff with long tenure at the Fairmont.

This restaurant is a bit pricey but worth it for a nice treat because of the atmosphere - it feels like a bit of pampering. The service is fantastic!

Even though there weren’t that many people, the restaurant was really loud because everyone was trying to talk over the music volume. Once I asked the manager or head waiter to turn down the music, it was a lot better, though the lowered music was still loud for me. Also, I had requested a quiet booth or table in my reservation and we were placed in the middle of the dining room. The food was acceptable, but we expected more for the price and location. We got the burger and the pasta bolognese. It was more pasta in tomato sauce or marinara as there was very little to no meat in the bolognese. The burger was good, though over cooked based on the requested temperature/doneness level. Again, our expectations were high for the Fairmont hotel, and it lacked in our opinion in the ambience and food categories. Service, however, was spectacular and on par with the Fairmont brand and status.

Food is mediocre for the price you paid Ambience is great. Music is disappointing. I was expecting an ensemble of musicians instead one guy playing with recorded songs Service is good .

The prime rib wasn’t warm but cold. All the so called hot food was barely room temperature. The breads/rolls looked as though they were bought at Safeway. The coffee tasted as though it was made 3 hrs. ago. . I expected the atmosphere in the dining room to be decorated with fresh spring like flowers or any decorations but it looked dark and dull. The whole experience was a waste of time and money. Too bad . One would think that on a special occasion like Easter Sunday it would feel special. It failed on all fronts except for our waiter.
