   Sat at the bar for dinner. I ordered drink # 21. Wow was that awful. It had a slick of oil on top. I understand that it was to have honey sesame oil but never expected globs of oil floating on top. I nicely told the bar tender that I didn’t like it and ordered a cosmo. His whole mood changed once I didn’t like his drink. He made me a cosmo that was yellow..straight lime juice and vodka. He then ignored us, never took our dinner order and was ignoring us chatting with the couple at the other end of the bar. The food was mediocre at best. Will never go back.

   We reserved for 4:45 to get happy hour. Last time I was there, happy hour was served both in the dining room and the bar. This time we confronted the unhappy surprise that, despite our reservation time, we could not enjoy happy hour because the only tables available were in the dining room and they had changed their policy such that happy hour was not available there. In short, bait and switch.

   First visit so I booked far in advance with a note requesting outdoor seating. Called a day before to make sure they got the note. About an hour before reservation, host called saying their outdoor area is first-come, first-served so would I please give up my reservation for someone who really wants it. I said no. Just writing this to say: that was really rude and weird. We wound up eating indoors because it was chilly that evening. Food was great!

   I ordered the empanadas and the oysters Rockerfellas. Empanadas were too salty and was lacking flavor. I make them myself and I found that the meat was not flavored with garlic or with a sauce that would enhance the flavor of the meat. The oyster Rockerfellas lack garlic, needed more spinach and lemon.

    The Oyster Club was outstanding! We came here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. He selected it based on a sample menu he saw, and he wasn't disappointed. This is one of the most innovative restaurants we've ever dined at. Please note: this restaurant is as farm-to-table as you can get. Our waitress told us that the food menu changes daily based on the produce and catch they receive, so the menu you see on their website or in pictures may not be what you get. The dessert menu changes regularly too, but not daily. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller and Sourdough with miso butter. Both were delicious. For mains my boyfriend got a lobster bao buns (with a very generous portion of lobster!) and I got the NY strip which had a delicious mushroom butter on top. Our desserts were to die for. Who would think to use asparagus in dessert?! I wouldn't, but it was so unexpectedly pleasant. The drinks were also outstanding and very unusual. The service was attentive and courteous. We'd absolutely come back and recommend this place to others.

    We made it for happy hour before our dinner reservations- highly advise! Great value and some of the freshest local oysters we have tasted. Wine and cocktails were excellent, dinner was fresh and delicious, ambiance wonderful.

    The only complaint was that the steaks were ordered to be med rare and they were well done. Very surprised since this is supposed to be a top restaurant.

    I took my father here after my graduation. He is an incredibly picky eater but was blown away by both the quality of service and the food. Our hosts were always friendly and seemed genuine. We weren’t disturbed too often and the ambiance was incredible.

    My fiancé and I had a lovely brunch at the Oyster Club. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. Our table was in the Treehouse, a very unique dining experience. We were thankful we had reservations as there was a line when we got to the restaurant. We can’t wait to go back to rU the dinner menu.

    The Treehouse at The Oyster Club was the perfect spot for a late afternoon meal. It was hot but the space is covered and there was a nice breeze coming off the water so it was very comfortable to sit outside. We shared oysters and several small plates (the carrots, burger and empanadas were our favorites!) and each had a bowl of chowder - I love the clear Rhode Island style which has a great, strong clam flavor and my husband really enjoyed the creamy New England style. If you want to sit outside, go in the main door to the hostess stand. There is a sign but lots of people walked up the outside stairs only to be turned back to go inside to the main hostess stand!

    The food was beyond delicious. Sadly, my salad had a piece of paper towel in it! Happily, the server took it back; we were given a new salad and not charged for it. Yeesh. Other than that, the food was absolutely wonderful; seasoned just right, fresh, delectable. Server was great, other employees super nice.

    Absolutely superb in every way: excellent cocktails, delicious oysters on the half-shell and oyster's Rockefeller, succulent steaks, scallops were so tender, fettuccine Bolognese, yum! The atmosphere was charming and romantic, quiet music, and the service was perfect in every way-- polite attentive, elegant. Thanks for another wonderful evening!

    The Oyster Club never disappoints—starting with an incredibly warm greeting when I enter the restaurant. Service is always exemplary with every effort made to make your dining as pleasant as possible. Food was delicious beginning with the market green salad and going on to a chicken breast/thigh over the absolutely best polenta I have ever had. Finally, I have always touted their wine list which has unknown gems listed at a reasonable price point—perfect combo. Our thanks to the chef and staff.

    Food was very good, fine dining type. Have a variety of specialty drinks available. Nice layout, we ate upstairs at table by window overlooking main street. I would recommend this place to others.

    I love this place. I've been here 3 times, and I live in Vermont,, so it's a destination event we nonetheless go for! I lover everything except the noise level. On weekend nights, there are too many people talking loudly and music to boot, staff running about, fit's hard to settle in. But, if that doesn't bother you, you are good to go. Weeknights are better for older folk who don't hear as well! That said, our waitress lowered the volume on the loudspeaker (is it still called that?), at our request. The friendliness and availability of staff is outstanding. Just like the food. Go there!

    Portions are too small. Prices are too high for the quality and quantity. We are local and be get the farm to table concept but it no longer makes sense to dine there when so many other options are available. Service was good, staff was very friendly. Oysters are great, cooked food was OK. Happy hour beer prices are 7-8 bucks for a 12 oz pour, that’s not happy. Happy hour used to be busy. Now we know why it was empty.

    I live in Mystic and have been to the Tree House and Oyster Club many times. Last eve, in Tree House- not good. It was enclosed but the railing areas were open and it was very chilly- like 50 and not a heater in sight. None of the delicious bread and butteer they used to offer was brought, no bread served w mussels and very cool looking but uncomfortable wire chairs. And the music was too loud so hard to talk to my friend 2 ft away. Not good

    My niece was visiting me from MA. We love visiting Mystic. When asked where she would like to dine, she requested that we go to “that really cool place” that has the tree house! So, I made a reservation for dinner and had hoped we could be seated up in the tree house for happy hour. Unfortunately, seating up there was booked so we wound up getting the last high top in the bar. Happy hour was great! Lots of delicious oysters, steak frites and margaritas! We went on to have dinner and cocktails later and the food was delicious! Unfortunately, we wound up in the upstairs dining room, which isn’t my favorite space, but our waitress was terrific (great personality) so she and the good food choices definitely made up for the seating. Will be back soon; a really great choice for dining.
