   Had high hopes…but the fire alarms went off during the dinner- due, more than likely, to overcooked steaks. Mine was shoe leather. I ordered medium rare placing trust in the good ol’ USA. I just returned from Argentina last week and similarly, no matter how you order your steak, it comes out medium well! It’s comical. Also, they were obviously under-staffed (albeit a Monday night). After waiting for 1hr plus for our entrees, they came out with the wrong steaks. We had to wait another :30. The waiter did the right thing and comp’d us drinks so we took good care of him, in spite of the bad experience. Sorry to say, I won’t be back.

   40th wedding anniversary dinner. We love everything about Dorrego’s. Empanadas for an appetizer, I had the paella and my husband had a New York steak. Antonio was a great server, great wine suggestions and a yummy dessert surprise for our anniversary. The hotel is beautiful. Perfect night!

    I requested a table outside and it was even offered upon seating. The food ( vegetables) were hot but over cooked. The asparagus was chew and stringy. Fish of the day was red snapper which was under cooked and wasn't well seasoned.

    Wow! The ambiance is lovely. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of wine. The food was amazing. Unfortunately, our server was not very attentive. We we’re finally taken care of by the gentleman who greeted us.

    Pre theater dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The food came out hot which has been a problem in some restaurants lately. It was very good. Service was excellent and attentive. The only issue I had was the spice level I. The octopus. Nowhere does it say spicy on the menu. I couldn’t really eat it. Definite going back for pre theater dining.

    Sat at the bar. Beautiful restaurant and beautiful hotel that it is located in, Hotel Valencia. Had empanadas and flambé queso for starters. Shared the Argentinean Shepard’s pie. Excellent food and excellent service! Definitely a place we will visit again!

    Really nice cheese app on fire., and beef tenderloin entree was lovely. Great ambiance. Professional servers. I think there were a few large parties that occupied the servers for a long time in the first half of the meal. It was sorted, and it was no fault of anyones. I recommend, and I would return.

    It took a while for us to get seated for our reservation but they gave us free wine for our trouble. Once seated everything was great. Our waitress Lauren was fantastic. She was extremely attentive to use and helped us with making adjustments to our order. She did a great job of explaining everything on the menu.

    Food was ok. Not special. Too much of the same spice on everything. The service was rushed. App came out at same time salad did. Had to tell waiter to slow down and he said they were already cooking the entrees when he delivered app. It’s nice they offer a wine taste. Very generous and surprisingly nice. The rolls were delicious. But the menu was very limited and the s dessert offering scant. The parking valets were amazing. Let us leave our car til after the show at the majestic!!! Shout out to them!

    Our Dorregos’ restaurant dining experience was very nice. The Greeting Host, (Antonio) and, also, our service attendant, was very nice and quite attentive to our table. His congeniality and attentive service reflected very highly on himself and Dorrego’s restaurant. My hope is you will relay our appreciation to him.

    In fairness, it was the NYE ticket so menu was limited but when ordering a steak, regardless of how tender it will be, i do not want to saw through with a butter knife and the waitress pretty much told me no steak knives. Potatoes were undercooked, el dente is one thing, these were not close. It was unfortunately a letdown for NYE dinner.

    It was okay. Great wine selection I was hoping for a better grade of meat. Our server had the whole place on her own so we felt rushed a bit. Being a speciality restaurant I was hoping to gain experience on what’s best to eat from the culture. We didn’t get that.
