    Fabulous meal start to finish! I had the duck for dinner which was cooked to perfection, tender and ample amount of meat. Also had the salad with crispy goat cheese, delicious. Excellent service despite the fact that the restaurant was quite busy, we never lacked for anything and were well taken care of by the waiter and other staff. Finished with French apple tart which was a must have. We haven’t been here for probably a year and forgot how great it really is. Can’t wait to go back.

    Lavendou is very busy on Friday and Saturday nights, especially during the holidays, so be sure you make a reservation. The reason is ... everything on the menu is prepared perfectly, and it is delicious. The owner Pascal, his bar staff, the waitstaff, the waiters, and the kitchen staff care about everyone that dines here. If you aren't happy, they will make it right. The wine selection is excellent also. You will not be disappointed.

    Delicious meal! Great soufflé and also apple tart. Onion soup best ever …and Caesar salad yummy. Favorite restaurant for special occasions and just because.

    Our food was so flavorful, beautifully presented, and rather sizable portions. We were more than satisfied, we were very delighted with our entire meal. The service was excellent and we were seated in a cozy comfortable booth, per our request. Our experience could not have been better and we will return! Highly recommended!

    Warm and cozy atmosphere, attentive service, and excellent food at extremely reasonable prices. Lavendou’s wine list is extensive with a very fair range of costs per bottle, and our server provided a great recommendation with our meal. The pork tenderloin is hands down the best pork dish I’ve ever had- incredibly tender and flavorful. From soup through to dessert, Lavendou nails it on every level. I can’t wait to visit again and try more of their menu.

    Lavendou is always excellent. I had the roasted duck and my husband had the veal medallions. Both were tender and cooked perfectly. We had a bottle of Bordeaux and shared the poached pear in red wine with vanilla ice cream. It is now our favorite dessert. Thank you Pascal and staff for a wonderful evening.

    Outstanding service, wonderful menu (and then there were the specials!!!) The best souffles for dessert. Everything was perfectly prepared. If I had any critique, it would be that the server was a bit too quick to want to remove dishes from the table.

    As always, the meal was excellent. Maybe because of the Thanksgiving holiday and folks getting together, it was much louder than usual. The noise level was extremely high during lunch as the place was very busy.

    Cassoulet is back! It was excellent and is one of my favorite dishes. My husband had the filet of sole with crabmeat that was cooked perfectly. Both entrées were delicious! Thanks to Pascal and his excellent staff.

    Very clean and authentic French cuisine. The sole meunière was a bit bland, and the salmon was ok, but the star of the show was the ribeye. Very tender and packed with flavor. Both the chocolate and grand marnier soufflés were probably the worst I’ve ever had, as they were very wet. The atmosphere is energetic and fun! Would maybe come back, but I might try to find something else.

    Lavendou is predictably a good dining experience. Bread is always excellent. Service is prompt and the entrees are very good, particularly seafood. A bit loud and crowded this evening.

    As usual, Lavendou did not disappoint. The four of us had fish, steak, Grand Marnier, and chocolate soufflés. It was delicious, affordable, and with perfect ambiance. For this high quality cuisine, the prices are unbeatable.

    When you make a reservation through OpenTable and you note it’s a special occasion and a birthday and you even put in a comment to that effect, then I would expect that the restaurant has that information and passes that to the server. None of that happened. Very disappointing when we went to the restaurant for a birthday occasion.

    We reserved a table in the back for our daughter in law’s birthday. They finally seated us twenty minutes late at a table next to the bar, which wasn’t located in the back. The waiter Bernd wanted us to order drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert all at once. Evidently he has a process and we were encouraged to comply. It was like speed dating. The noise level where we were seated was over the top. We eat here regularly and have recommended it to several of our friends. This by far the worst experience we have had here and as a result, aren’t inclined to hurry back soon. Truly a disappointment on what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable evening.

    I took my friend to lunch as a thank you for dog sitting while I was on vacation. Lavendou has become our place to celebrate as we came here for a birthday lunch. The food is always fabulous. I had the crepes that were very good and the vegs were cooked perfectly. Our waiter recommended the pumpkin creme brulee and it did not disappoint. This is a wonderful restaurant and we decided we needed to eat here more often, not just for celebrations.

    One of the best kept secrets in Dallas. The French food is amazing, especially escargot. The Tournedos of beef is also remarkable as is the Caesar salad not to mention the Freedom fries! Highly recommend. The wine selection is also amazing!

    The Bistro reminds us of our times in Paris which we used to visit annually. The level of service is always outstanding and we love the onion soup, the salads and the snails. Although prices are a bit higher than say La Madeline they are well worth it.

    We celebrated our anniversary and enjoyed a wonderful evening. The lentil soup was delicious, and the roasted chicken and veal medallions were tender and cooked perfectly. The Bordeaux wine was also excellent. Another fun, enjoyable dinner at our favorite restaurant.

    Not our first time here but Lavendou NEVER disappoints. Food is great. Service is always on point. The owner themself checked on the tables several times. Highly recommend for business or date night!

    We have been dining at Lavendou for years and we love it. The hospitality, great service and deliciously prepared fresh food offerings and menu specials are the reason we keep coming back. On a nice weather day, their beautiful private patio is special while dining inside is always a cozy French county experience. Their seafood offerings, like branzini, scallops, and red fish always with a bit of a French twist are unique. And then, of course, there are the frites (French fries) Hands down, best in Dallas. Souffles are always decadently delicious as well.
