Service was fine. Food was terrible.. Gator was glazed with creamy spicy sauce that over-powered the rest of the meal. Baked potato was prepared strange with strange spices. Ribs were dry and over cooked.

Two servers and we had to ask for refills on drinks They forgot one of our orders so one person had to eat after the rest of us. When you pay $250+ for your meal you expect better service. Very loud environment. If you expect conversation be prepared to yell across the table. Food was ok but with all New Orleans has to offer - there is way better out there. In short I will not be back. Been there done that.

How many times have you heard of restaurants with fabulous reputations and buzz that do not live up to either? Neither is the case at Cochon. From the moment we arrived until we left, greeters and servers were perfectly attentive and hospitality driven. Great suggestions on ordering, perfect timing of the courses and in the end an excellent value. Split the beet salad with my date. Then shared multiple small plates and sides including greens, mac and cheese, pork cheeks, fried alligator and pork ribs. It was a perfect meal.

Lotsa pig food, so I guess that is why they call it Cochon and have a giant pig hanging on the wall. Pork cheeks, ribs, and ham were all scrumptious. Alligator tasted like a chicken mcnugget and would not recommend it unless you feel some compulsion to eat alligator!

Been coming to New Orleans regularly for about ten years and this place vaults close to the top of my best restaurant list. Great food, friendly service, great ambiance. Definitely a top pick.

Great meal, great flavor to the meal and hand crafted drinks! Service was knowledgeable of food and specialty drinks. I'm normally a beer drinker but enjoyed the handcrafted cocktails. Service made suggestions upon request but not pushy and not overbearing. Loved the rabbit and dumplings as well as macaroni cheese casserole and creamy grits. Split the meal between 2 people.

After visiting Herbsaint we decided to give Cochon a try for dinner - we were not disappointed, in fact I was elated. The food and service were amazing! Great selection of bourbon as well! Worth the drive from Houston!

We enjoyed the food at Cochon; however the service was rude. We were brought our check twice even though we had a full glass of wine and beer, unfinished dessert, and had been there less than an hour.

Great experience overall. There was some problem with the server (who was probably new) and the management stepped in and provided a couple of sides on the house and picked up the tab for our cocktails. Food was as good as we expected from the reviews - especially loved the chanterelle mushroom toasts. A little noisy - not the place for an intimate dinner - but we had a great dinner there.

I love Cochon. This was a must for us in New Orleans and the only reservation we made for our stay. The team at Cochon has created a menu of dishes that use smoke as an ingredient in the same way they use salt. It's a deft hand that lets you know the food has been cooked over wood but nowhere near some places where it feels like the food was rested in an ashtray. The smoke isn't even the most demonstrative element of the teams skill. The absolute perfect levels of heat in the dishes hitting the note where you crave more because it's the perfect marriage of pleasure and pain. The wait staff were terrific, and put up with two novice diners. The boudin will be the best bite of food I have this year, and the chow chow inspired me to create some at home. Simply thanks.

I would not recommend this restaurant. The food was overly spicy. The service was a disaster! Our bread arrived before the dessert after we had finished our entre. The waitress was very rude. We waited 15 for a refill on a lemonade.

Excellent lunch. Had the oysters with garlic chili sauce, heirloom tomatoes with crab and ribs. Sauce was spicey sweet. Waitress was very attentive. We just ordered an entree at a time and split. Highly recommend the restaurant.

This a must every year we come to NOLA. My fav is the oysters with chili butter. The special appetizer last night was a Tuna Crudo that was ridiculously amazing. Perfect for the summer. Lite and refreshing!!! Next we had rabbit dumplings and gulf fish fishermen style with creamy grits!!! Y'all I'm telling you this is NOLA food in one stop. Drinks, wine and food. Can't get much better than that!!!!!
