Located in the heart of the old railroad and mining town of Minturn, the Saloon’s building dates back to 1901. During the last one hundred years it has been, at one time or another, home to various taverns, restaurants and even back room gambling for railroaders. While the last five decades have seen the development of Vail and Beaver Creek resorts just seven miles on either side of Minturn, the town’s appearance and feel retains its historic Colorado roots. Recently under new ownership, The Saloon has undergone a complete renovation and reopened in November of '23 with a fresh new menu and updated space. Chef Anthony Mazza's menu features slow-cooked short rib and pork cheek and Colorado River Ranch wagyu steak. The nostalgia and historical memorabilia and photos remain. The space still feels like The Saloon, but carried into the present day. Enjoy a resurrected Colorado Saloon and feel the history all around you.

Great food - wonderful spin on Tex-Mex food. We like coming here periodically to satisfy our craving. We love to bring g friends who haven’t been here yet.

I think the hype on the restaurant made our expectations too high. We sat outside on the patio as it was a nice evening. The margaritas were okay, nothing great (and we ordered the high end ones). We had the salsa, guacamole, queso appetizer and it was good; again, not great. My husband and I shared shrimp and steak fajitas and they were good. Overall, we live in East Vail so it’s a bit of a trek over to Minturn. El Segundo in Vail is better. Probably won’t go back.

The Historic Minturn Saloon is full of history & delicious food. The service is excellent. We enjoyed our time at Minturn Saloon very much.

This establishment adds a 3% surcharge for using credit cards. NOWHERE was this information made available to patrons. It was not listed anywhere on the menu, nowhere on the website, not posted outside, and the server said nothing when we asked if we could use credit cards. This is dishonest business on the part of the owner. We will not return to this restaurant, and we will tell our friends to avoid this restaurant.

Allen, you're absolutely right. The surcharge should've been explained by your server, & been clearly posted outside. We started surcharging credit cards on March 1st 2025 and we should have better trained our staff those first couple of weeks to communicate this change. I'm sorry you caught us unprepared to handle this company wide change. There is no charge added when paying with Debit cards. We now have the signs up and have properly educated our team so this lack of communication won't happen again. I can see how you feel this is dishonest, which goes against our core ethos as a restaurant. I am very sorry for this oversight and I hope we have the opportunity to make it up to you in the future. Great dining experience. Long time local who has only been to the Saloon several times for happy hour, which is always fantastic. Had guests in town and thought this would be a nice dinner and experience and it was. Food was fabulous and remember the servings are very large. Also, killer mac and cheese

it's a vail valley classic that I've been going to since college, but haven't been in the past two years since the remodel. The menu has been very much slimmed to down to a few serviceable but not memorable items. it's also gotten notabily more expensive for what you are getting. The Birria tacos are really a shortrib quesadilla for like $36.

This has quickly become one of our favorite places to go when we are in Beaver Creek. The food and decor is fantastic and the service is over an above - EXCELLENT! They are friendly, knowledgeable and just fun. It's a must!

The place was great. Nice ambience and vibe. It’s expensive like anywhere you visit close to ski resorts. The quality of the food was very good. My Kale Caesar was over dressed, would have been great otherwise. My fish tacos were excellent. The service was sooo fast which was great but we did feel that our server was rushing us out. Wisking away plates off the table very quickly. Clearing one person”s dishes while the other was still eating.
