A Flavorless Disappointment: Our One-and-Done Restaurant Visit There’s something truly special about going out for a meal—the anticipation of bold flavors, perfectly cooked dishes, and an experience that lingers long after the last bite. Unfortunately, our latest dinner outing fell short of even the most basic expectation: flavor. From the very first bite, it was clear that seasoning was not a priority in the kitchen. Our meal started with a crab cake, a dish that should sing with the richness of crab, enhanced by delicate spices and a crisp exterior. Instead, it was lackluster, requiring a shake of salt to coax out any depth. Moving on to our entrées, I ordered the cedar plank salmon, hoping for the signature smokiness that makes this preparation shine. My husband opted for fish and chips—a classic comfort dish known for its crispy golden batter and satisfying crunch. Sadly, both dishes mirrored our appetizer in their underwhelming taste, leaving us reaching for the salt shaker once again. A meal should be more than just sustenance—it should be an experience, a moment of indulgence, a delight for the senses. When flavors fail to deliver, it not only disappoints but also ensures that this will be a one-and-done visit

The food and service were very good. Unfortunately, we asked for 2 drinks - a pina colada and a daiquiri. We were told that they could not be made. When we asked why, we were told that " they did not have the ingredients". What bar could not make these? Fish Market, apparently.

Service was atrocious. Restaurant was nearly empty at 7:00pm. All fish was overcooked without a care to its preparation. Seared tuna was medium throughout. Salmon requested at medium leaked all of its albumins and was we done. The crunchy calamari was under seasoned and the accompanying sauce was over seasoned being both incredibly sweet and salty. Service was a true mystery. Waiter would disappear for 30 minutes at a time. The chef approached the manager at 8PM asking if that was it for the night. Her reply was only a 4 top remained at 9 PM. Avoid at all costs. Once what may have been a Columbus staple is now a restaurant that could be better served by Ramsay's Rescue or better yet shutter it's doors. Edit: The Regional Manager reached out to me and has offered to make it up. We appreciate the prompt response and customer service here. It does show a dedication to making things right. I will update this review when we have the opportunity to visit again in July.

We were promptly seated at our reservation tine. The fixe pris is a bargain. Food and service were great as usual.

Mother's Day dinner. The food was awesome, from apps to dessert. The rest of the experience wasn't so great. I arrived early to check in and let them know our party was a little smaller than originally planned. The hostess said that was good because the party at our original table had been there for 2 1/2 hours and showed no signs of leaving. I thought that we would then get our table right on time but we were seated 15 minutes late. No seating in the lobby for two 87 year olds and the bar tables were occupied. We did get a nice, quiet separate room with only one other table and those people were done and left soon after we were seated. Took way too long to even get water which should have been a clue. A lot of waiting, first to get drinks, then to order, then to get salads... No continuity of service with way too much time between courses. In fact, we were seated almost 2 hours before out main dishes were served. Not a good thing, especially with kids in the group. I initially gave consideration for the busyness of the day or maybe short staffed...until I went to the restroom and saw the group that was seated just prior to us who had the same number of people was finishing dessert when we hadn't even gotten our main dishes yet. Had to ask four times for lemon wedges for the water. When the TV stopped working, which was playing a marine relaxation video that gave some ambiance and gave the kids a distraction, we asked multiple times before someone came in to set it. Additionally, no one picked up dirty dishes and we ended up stacking them on the other table in the room which had never been bussed (for the entire time we were seated, over 3 hours).
