   Three dishes were shared among the three of us with one dish ordered as moderately spicy. Too spicy for one of us, but all three dishes were delicious! Would certainly eat here again!

   Fairly good food. A good selection of dishes with focus on vegetable dishes. They have the standard tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and a couple of other meat dishes. I've been dining here for years and I always enjoy my meal.

   The best Indian food in Norfolk!!! My family and I have eaten at other Indian restaurants since moving to Norfolk back in July 2018. Nawab just set the bar high and we loved the food and atmosphere. We will definitely go back there.

   I have been going to this restaurant for many years. The quality is always superb and the service is wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant and their food to anyone who likes Indian cuisine. Their lunch buffet is fabulous as well!

    This is the 2nd time in a year that I've been to this Norfolk restaurant (first for lunch and most recently for dinner). Consistently bad on all fronts and I will never go back: (1) abysmally slow service in spite of being practically empty each time (apparently others have voted with their feet also), to the point of finally having to get up to find a server for a drink refill long after entre served for instance, (2) food unlike any dishes of the same name served and greatly enjoyed at the many authentic Indian restaurants my colleague and I have each experienced over the years, including former affiliates of this specific restaurant elsewhere in VA. Ugh!

    The service was terrible. It took her 15 minutes to bring four bottled beers to the table. We watched them sit on the bar for ten of those minutes. The food was decent but there was a black hair in my sauce. When I told the server she asked me four times if I was sure. She also was looking at the hair, there was no mistake, it was a black hair. There was no apology, she just asked me agIn if it could’ve maybe been ginger. Ginger isn’t black or HAIR. Small portions for what it’s priced at. Food was decent but everything needed salt. Naan was also burnt. Will not return.

    We’ve been coming here for many years and like the Beach location as well. It was a very quiet night with only three tables occupied. Yet service was very slow with waiters spending more time chatting at the bar than paying attention to diners. The food is always wonderful but service needs to step it up

    The restaurant was practically empty. I think there was one or two other tables with guests. Server was slow to arrive after we sat down. Food was nice and spicy as I had ordered. My dad can't eat too spicy food so he asked for something not so spicy but it was still too spicy for him. I liked the food but I think the service could've been better.

    We used to live in this area about 10 years ago and we used to go frequently to this restaurant and the food was always very good. However we were very disappointed on our recent visit as the food was not very tasty and was poorly presented. We won't go back.

    Prompt and friendly service. Food very tasty. Politely asked to change the rather ethereal/sci-if background music that didn't fit the ambience, but this seemed a step too far. Would certainly eat there again.

    Server was very helpful with suggestions on the menu and everything was very prompt. Food was delicious! Decor leaves something to be desired, but the food and service more than make up for it.

    My vegetarian son chose Nawab for his birthday dinner. We were treated very kindly and patiently by all the staff members in spite of our family arriving at different times. The appetizers were magnificent. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their entrees and the hostess ensured we were well prepared to take home our uneaten portions with fresh rice in the take out boxes. It was worth the 90-mile round trip to enjoy quality Indian food.

    We were a group of 10 and were provided with a long table. The Buffet spread was good with a mix of Veg and Non-Veg Indian dishes . The whole team enjoyed the ambience and also the food.

    This place must be packed in high season, but luckily for us it was not too busy and we were able to get right in with a reservation just the night before. Chai made fresh! Mild or Spicy you pick! Even Indian spicy if you want to take on the challenge. Great variety and terrific service. A local place to eat which is always recommended and you can see why. Vegetarian, Gluten Free, and all the regular choices as well.

    My second visit here while traveling for work. Loved the food just as much second time around, quiet and nice atmosphere. Despite there only being 5 tables the service was extremely slow for having 3 wait staff. They also forgot the drinks order. Go for the food, not the service.

    At lunch time they offer a fairly decent Buffett, but their dinner was on the pricier side for the same ambience and same great service. The lamb that I ordered at dinner was on the dry side, however the goat my wife ordered was exceptional. I should've ordered that too. It was tender and with the bones in made it that much more flavorful. But the lunch gives you a nice Buffett sampler of their dishes which is why I like that more and the price is better.

    Their service is warm, their ambience subdued and quiet. The food, however, is utterly outstanding. They carefully tailor the spice levels to your taste, and mix sauces that you will dream about for a week. Don't miss.

    My family dined at Nawab on a Wednesday night, arriving about an hour after their opening time of 5 p.m. We were the only guests in the restaurant. It was not because Nawab lacks in quality! Every item ordered was delicious. The only problem was that a bowl of rice was not delivered with the entrees. That was corrected moments after I brought it to the server's attention and he was very kind to see that we wee amply supplied with fresh rice, even for our take-out boxes. The staff was unfamiliar with the $20 Open Table discount coupon I included in my payment. The server called the owner about it and there were no problems at all with using it at Nawab. We have dined here before but not for several years. My family wants to return soon!

    We have been Nawab fans for note than twenty years. Fish Tikka Marsala is my favorite! They are attentive and helpful-especially if you are new to Indian cuisine. Buffet for lunch is excellent.

    Very nice staff, food was very good but the dinner prices are a little expensive for the portions. Drinks are expensive also. Paid $20 for two shots. But I hear the lunch buffet is really good so I will try that next.

    Great food, Scallops were amazing. Some staff is very helpful if you have questions. One in particular was very rude though, rushed us through everything. They accidentally took my plate away when I wanted it to-go but they made me new food to take with me without me even saying a word!
