   First off I am a huge fan of Capital Grille, arguably my favorite restaurant and the KOP one is my go to. We had a few bumps at yesterday's visit. My wife got the wrong steak and had to wait basically till everyone was done eating to eat her's. I let them know how dissappointing that was, they did the right thing and took care of us. I get mistakes happen, and they found a solution to our problem. Would of been 5 stars if that hiccup did not happen. Food as always is a home run.

   Decided to dine at Capitol Grill for our anniversary. Noticed the website made a special announcement about a dress code. Didn’t initially think much about it but just as we arrived and checked in, a couple dressed as if going to a MacDonalds checked in. Both in funky shorts, his cargo. In tee shirts. Then we were seated. I was facing the next booth where a man sat with his baseball cap on backwards in a tee shirt. Why did the website have anything about a dress code? And yes, it DID have a negative impact on our experience. You wanted $81 for tonight’s special filet but we should accept sitting among slobs? With so many other options for a first class steakhouse, why choose one that talks the talk of monitoring the guest experience but completely fails to walk the walk? I even asked the women who checked us in if it was acceptable the way these folks were dressed and I was told it was the Manager’s discretion and it was OK. We’ll, if I’m going to spend close to $400 for dinner for two, it wasn’t and won’t be acceptable to me.

    We generally dine at the capital Grille in Center City. This was our first time trying the one at King of Prussia. We were disappointed when we left. The overall experience was nothing compared to the Center City location. Little things were missed like butter for the lobster and asking of black pepper, things like that. The food was very good. The only complaint as far as food was the aged porterhouse. It did not taste as “aged” as it normally does. Will be back to The Capital Grille, but just not at that location.
