   Restaurant management continues to provide 1) outstanding, professional, yet friendly service; 2) outstanding, delicious high quality food, and 3) an upscale attractive ambience. We had a great dining experience and high recommend this restaurant.

   A little surprised (esp. given the price!) it was a prix fixe for Mother's Day -- was not clear on the reservation. Environment felt a little "industrial" for a special occasion.

   Exceptional as always! The staff is familiar and friendly and goes above and beyond to take care of guests. Our meal was delicious, and on a busy day like Mother’s Day, not a single shortcut was taken. L’escale is the best of Greenwich!

   The restaurant itself is beautiful and in a great location, but unfortunately, the food was below average. We celebrated Mother’s Day there, and it took over an hour for the main course to arrive after the appetizer. The steak was tasteless and horribly burned. The duck salad appetizer was nothing special, and the dessert was far too sweet. Even the fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. On the positive side, I want to compliment the restaurant for always decorating the place so nicely with fresh flowers—it really adds a lovely touch. I truly hope they improve the food because the location is one of the best in the city.

   Our party of 5 sat down at 7. We were slow to order which is our fault, and didn’t place orders until 7.30. But we didn’t get our entrees until around 915. At 845 I asked our server who checked with the kitchen and said we’d be the next table out once they’d finished with a group. Maybe that was a huge group but our entrees didn’t appear for another half hour. The food was ok. Nothing special. Steak was overdone and the fries were bland. Disappointed as I’ve eaten here many times before and always had a good experience.

   This is a nice restaurant the location is wonderful. The food is good however we were surprised that some of the French classics dishes were not on the menu. The food we did have was great and the drinks were excellent.
