   I booked a reservation several weeks in advance for a birthday celebration. I requested outdoor seating and a prime location for this celebration. When we arrived, there was no host around to greet us. A gentleman man stopped by and said someone would be there soon to assist us. Less than a minute later he came back and asked if we had a reservation. I gave him my name and he located our reservation and proceeded to take us to our table. He didn’t offer us a waterfront table, even though one was available. After several minutes of no one coming by to welcome us, I went back to the host stand to ask to be moved. We were moved. Service was slow. The celebration was not acknowledged by any of the staff. While the food was very good, the staff did nothing to make this feel like a special night. My expectations for a restaurant of this perceived caliber were not met. We have been here before, and had a very different experience. This was one of our favorite restaurants, but it no longer seems to be worth the prices that are charged. Not sure we will ever be back after this experience.

    You are greeted at the door by Les the Maître D, who welcomes you with a smile and is very personable. He always makes sure your experience is pleasant and will make any needed  accommodations. Our waiter, Chris is very attentive and goes beyond to ensure my husband’s food restrictions are met. He is very knowledgeable of all the food and is very pleasant. The chef is outstanding with his creativity of delicious dishes and presentation. The desserts are to die for, so always save room. This restaurant is outstanding due to how they treat their customers and their delicious food.

   Food was delicious, we had the lobster scampi, It included a whole lobster with pasta and sun-dried tomatoes and garlic butter of course. Also had the beet salad and the prosciutto and melon salads, again delicious. We sat outside which was nice until the evening bugs came out. Definitely worth another visit inside.

   Beautiful serene setting on the bay. Service was excellent. Food was excellent but could have been hotter. I dislike lukewarm. A little overpriced for the amount of food you receive.

   Food was innovative. Ambiance is pure beauty, we sat outside and overlooked the bay. Parking is interesting but doable. All in all would eat here again. Great couples spot.

   I ordered steak medium pink inside which is priced at $70. Chef butterflied the meat and I received it beyond well done. Had to refuse and send the order back. We had to be somewhere after our dining so I had only bread. Very poor and manager did NOTHING to have our table return. I would never recommend this restaurant.

    Outstanding atmosphere; ask for a table on the waterside deck if the weather is good. Food offerings are extensive and all are prepared to perfection. The service is friendly and attentive. We have dined at Ophelia’s many times and have never been disappointed!
