   It is good traditional Italian food, definitely nothing unusual or fancy. They give you A LOT so easy to over order so go hungry. We like the 'family style' dinner so it's fun and we visit Carmines on our yearly trip to DC Police Week

   The food was abundant and delicious. Excellent value for a family style sit down dinner. The service was at times slow and confusing. The bread was never brought to the table. That might have been a blessing since the salad and calamari appetizer was so large we couldn’t have eaten the bread anyway. The Bolognese was rich and meaty but a bit salty. We will come back again on our next trip to DC.

   My family and I have been to the NYC location before this visit in DC. We loved it so much in NYC that when we planned our DC visit on May 13th (coming from Raleigh, NC) we made a POINT to take the opportunity to visit the DC location. Wish there was a Carmine’s in Raleigh!!

   We enjoyed our meal. Our servers, Jaylen and Nadia, were good. Our entree took a bit of time to come out, and my husband didn't think it was piping hot. I wish they had a half size salad, because for two people a salad and entree is too much food. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Carmine's and we will go back.

   Food was fair at best. Inexperienced service. A group next to us that had reserved dinner for 8 quickly became 16 and the restaurant did nothing to support the other diners who were clearly disrespected and disrupted.

    We took our friends here for a night out and it was amazing! The drinks and food were 10/10. We will go here anytime we are in DC!
