I haven't been to Chicago Q in years but I do recall it being a little on the pricey side, but the food and ambiance made it a standout. Went on Saturday evening and was greeted to a pretty much empty room, as there were only a handful of diners on the first floor. (There was a birthday party taking place on the second floor.) When my entree arrived, I realized why the place was empty. I order the brisket meal along with a side of mashed potatoes. On my huge plate were four thin slices of brisket. Perhaps I would not have minded if it didn't run $30! The small skillet of mashed potatoes were tasty--and I ended up finishing it off to compensate for the lack of brisket. This will be my last visit to the overpriced, devoid-of-patrons Chicago Q. What happened?

Ribs were skimpy and dry. They now charge for the chips and pickles that used to be complimentary, and they don’t provide the hot towels after the meal.

The food and service were both impressive. Mario is a real pro. Anybody would be lucky to have him. Something should really be done about those bees in the outside seating area, though. I'll say this...once we voiced our concerns about the bees, they moved us inside immediately, no questions asked, which we were thankful for. I do recommend that you visit, if you have the opportunity. Added bonus: they have a very nice bourbon collection and my Old Fashioned was made just right. I only had one, because I had to drive, but that should also be on your list if you visit there.

Me and three friends went for my birthday on a Friday evening and had a great time. Our server was attentive and made some good recommendations. The food was pretty phenomenal. We all ordered something different and everyone raved about how delicious the food was.

The food is pricy and meat portions are small, but tasty. We got the meat flight. The kale salad was delicious. The host was rude and started off our evening at this new place poorly. Luckily, our server and every other staff member was very friendly and professional. They should consider not letting her be the first person customers come in contact with. She’s not kind, warm or communicative.

Food was very good. Ribs always great. Service was very very slow mainly because they had a bartender pick up our table and also work the bar. Don’t know if we will go back. 70% empty restaurant.

Our server was very courteous and patient and our booth was very comfortable for my family of 8. However, the food was mediocre. I had not been back to Q in years and was disappointed with our experience on 8/12/23. The food tasted as though it was cooked prior to our order and served after being reheated. My daughter and I dined at Chicago q (again). Always a great experience.Daughter ordered Mac and cheese dinner portion. It was huge! She took more than half home. I ordered half rack St. Louis ribs and half pulled pork meal. It was served with 3 delicious sauces! Liked the sweet mustard sauce most and all are delish, Our waiter, Johnny took great care of us and made the experience super fun! We highly recommend Chicago q.

Three words - D. R. Y. Heard great things about this place, so had high expectations. Dry ribs. Dry (literally crumbling) brisket. Flavorless pulled chicken. Cool vibe in the bar, though. Won’t be back.

It was our first time dining here. Food was delicious, quick service. Appreciate the kids menu. It’s just hard to tell how much to order, what is shareable. Leftovers aren’t a bad thing, though!

Was only checked in on once while eating. I would have ordered 1-2 more drinks or apps but no one ever checked on us. I ordered the St. Louis ribs. They were dry and had no meat on them. Ordered the mac, hush puppies, and coleslaw which were all great. Will probably check it again but hoping for better experience

Something was off for this visit. This was my go to place ten years ago and nothing was excellent but everything was decent, the food was served lukewarm, the butter on the bread was hard and we had to send it back to warm the bread so the butter could melt. The service was Stellar.
