It’s rare to find a faultless meal, but everything we had was on point. It makes sense why it’s packed even on a Monday night after being open for ages.

An excellent restaurant – the food was simply perfect. The negative aspect: we had a table for two and couldn't talk to each other because of the loud noise. The noise level exceeded 100 decibels several times. It's a shame because the food is simply superb.
Girl & the GoatResponded 1 day ago
Hello, Helmut! Thank you for the thoughtful feedback—it means a lot that you found the food to be outstanding. We’re glad you enjoyed the meal, and we truly appreciate your note about the noise level. It’s something we’re continually working to improve while maintaining the energy of the space. If you’re open to it, I’m be happy to connect directly to talk more about your dining experience. We’d love the chance to welcome you back again. Warmly, Gerson Dacanay, General Manager 312-492-6262

This was hands down one of my top five meals ever!!! The homemade pita with hummus & tzatziki - perfect way to start the meal. The dips burst with flavors and the pita had a crispy topping with chopped scallions. Next - the duck empanadas are scrumptious! Crispy, light outside, filled with a combination of tastes that are unforgettable. Finished the sauce beneath with a spoon after the empanadas were gone! Third - pork belly in curry sauce has the right amount of heat and the meat was cooked beautifully. Ordered extra pita to finish off the curry! Last - skirt steak perfectly grilled with tasty cucumber salad. Tue ambience is rustic with cool art & decor. The service was impeccable throughout the meal. Don’t miss this treasure when you’re in Chicago! (Stephanie of Top Chef did a fabulous job!)

Walked in 5 minutes before opening/my res after seeing other customers inside and the doors were open. was curtly told they will let me know when they can seat me. walked in said 5 minutes later and a line was formed/people had already been seated. I am a younger person who often gets profiled for that and customer service usually shows. Waitress kept asking my partner if she could run down the menu, he asked to wait till I was back and she insisted. As an as I returned (and she was still there) I said hello and was expecting the whole rundown and she walked away without saying anything. She asked about allergies and apparently every hoison sauce, ponzu sauce, and mignonette had mustard in it? I asked if I could just get straight oysters (I'm from Seattle) and lemon and I would be perfectly happy, no need for any special sauce. I was then handed a plate with nothing but oysters on it. no ice, no garnish...I later researched and there are quite a few ways to dress up their oysters without sauce... even some sort of cocktail sauce would suffice. I went here for the live mousse, and I guess everything on it had mustard as well. I was quite literally handed a menu with almost everything crossed out...over mustard? rare allergy but that was absolutely untrue about their menu. I researched later and still have no idea what that was about? the oysters we ate were fishy smelling and quite honestly looked dead. the oyster itself looked like it was disintegrating in its juices. I was very confused with both the food and service after reading so many amazing reviews! Maybe the waitress was having an off night, but I was extremely underwhelmed and disappointed with this restaurant.

We found the menue to be a bit limited but everything we had was excellent as was the service. T The only negative was the noise level which made it uncomfortable and hard to hear the person sitting across.

We truly enjoyed our dining experience. Pros: Delicious empanadas, focaccia, green beans, and cocktails and overall menu, excellent, responsive service, nice down to earth experience. Cons: VERY loud and cold inside so we elected to go outside which was more comfortable temperature wise but dealt with loud neighboring bar noise.
