   Soup bowl portion size was comically small (probably about 3 oz.) as was the Caesar salad and desert portions. Nice service, slow kitchen. Delicious Lemon Drops.

   This was our first time at Solare, and we're already looking forward to going back! We were celebrating my birthday, and were pleasantly surprised to be seated in our own private wine room. So many items on the menu were tempting; we ordered the home-made lasagna and they were kind to prepare the Sicilian-style pistachio crusted lamb chops, even though it's not on their lunch menu. We were pleased with the portion size and quality of the meals, which were both unique to anything we have had like that before. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, and it was a great experience overall.

   I've been dining here for over a decade, and it never fails to impress. My go-to dish is the fish special, which has featured everything from halibut to, most recently, opah. Each plate is beautifully composed—smashed potatoes, salted spinach, and a delicate topping of dried leeks—creating the perfect balance of flavors. Whether I’ve arrived with a reservation or walked in spontaneously, the wait has never been too long. The service is consistently excellent, making every visit enjoyable from start to finish. A truly reliable gem that delivers time and time again!

   This restaurant is an absolute favorite! We live in Orange County, and come here for dinner every time we visit San Diego. The food, and service is extraordinary! Until our next visit!

   Food and service were phenomenal but because we were a party of 7 we had to sit outside which was bad because the planes that kept passing were very loud and hard for conversations.
