El establecimiento ha sido votado para el mejor restaurante italiano y mejor chef (Accursio Lotà) de 2014 por San Diego Magazine. El entorno, el servicio, la decoración y el ambiente en esta ubicación histórica en Liberty Station no tienen comparación. Randy Smerik y su equipo trabajan duro para ofrecer una experiencia gastronómica increíble en este restaurante de propiedad y administración familiar. Food was great. Only reason it wasn't 5 stars all around was because it was a little loud inside. It was hard to hear my husband talking across the table. The desserts were delicious too.

Always good food , they are very accommodating, good wine list. They always seem to have good specials too - last two times we went we ordered from their specials for the day.

We love Solare! It’s great to have a Michelin Guide restaurant in our neighborhood. We keep coming back. Service is wonderful; food is always delish!!; and prices are reasonable. Plus, we went on Wednesday discount wine night, so a bonus!

Nice setting. Excellent service, delightful and attentive, and not too present. Outstanding appetizers: arancini and fritto misto. Braised beef cheek with polenta and truffle slices was divine. The halibut was tasty but dry. A great dinner for Father’s Day! There was quite a bit of noise from the airplanes, but it was a nice setting. We will be returning for another experience in the near future!

Our waitress is really nice but she made a mistake on my order and gave me the wrong order, she said that instead of throwing away the food, she's just going to give it to us but I noticed that she didn't took the item from the receipt so I just paid for it instead of discussing it with her. There was also a little confusion on our food because there was too many of us. All the food came out was really yummy as my daughter say it. She has the truffle risotto with scallops, my wife has the Cioppino and I had the veal cheek, some friend had pasta, salmon and pizza. But the best is the butternut squash soup as my daughter say it tasted like Christmas and the veal cheek with polenta. The fresh bread is good too so is the olive oil that come out with it.

We dined outside so it was oddly quiet to the point where having a conversation felt weird because those who were out there could also hear every word. Our waitress was nice enough but ID’d us which is slightly annoying & also she was a little awkward. I got the lasagna & while it was amazing I felt it was a small portion. My husband got the ravioli & there were literally only like 6 of them & he had to pick up food on the way home because it wasn’t enough to fill him up. Also the wine prices are ridiculous. Who orders 3oz of wine? But on the flip side who pays $29 for one glass of wine that you could get the same thing of in little Italy for half that price?? Weird. Mixed feelings on it. Definitely feel like it at least would’ve been better if we had eaten inside because the vibe outside was off.

Food was delicious! We had the bolognese and a margarita pizza. Service was awful and the restaurant was quite empty.
