Date night is always SO special when we share it with O-Ku and it’s staff. The ambiance and quaint setting makes my husband and I feel like we are the only 2 there! We haven’t been in awhile and we love the new touches.😘 The touch lamps on each table are the perfect touch! That was our only complaint ever was the lighting (we are old and couldn’t read the menu 😂) Thank you for another amazing date night.🥂

I love OKU, and we had such a wonderful service. Alicia and the food of course was phenomenal. I came in 5 minutes early for our 5:00 p.m. reservation and I was asked to go outside and wait and it was a bit cold, that was not a great first impression.

I came to O-Ku a couple years ago and really wanted to come back on this trip to Charleston because the food was so amazing last time. My friend canceled on me so the waiters were extremely friendly, they gave me a nice isolated table in the back and were sure to ask about allergies. The food was amazing, just like last time. The raw fish was extremely fresh. Overall, I was expecting a large bill, but the price ended up being much less than I expected for all the food I ordered. Thanks again to O-Ku for an amazing dining experience.

Went in shortly before close and was greeted by a welcoming staff. Ordered quickly and got the edamame as and appetizer. For sushi we got the Playboy roll and the Spicy Tuna roll, which were both absolutely delicious. Xavier was an amazing server and was cracking jokes with us and giving above and beyond customer service. Highly recommend!

Wonderful staff made me feel like a queen on my birthday! The appetizers are amazing and so are the cocktails. It’s a little loud, but it was Saturday night. Nice mix of younger and more mature diners. Our waitress was a doll and the manager sat us, she chatted with us a bit about the city and the college. Very sweet to make us feel so welcome. Dinner was amazing - lots of food and a mochi to end the evening with a single candle. Great evening- will definitely be back first chance we get when we are in town!

We always enjoy our food, beverage and the service at oku. However our absolute favorite menu item, the cauliflower appetizer in a delicious sauce, is no longer on the menu. We always get a couple orders of that so we were very disappointed. The brussel sprout appetizer that replaced it was just ok and we would most likely not order it again. We hope the cauliflower appetizer returns to the menu.

Beautiful restaurant. I’ve been eating Sushi for over 40 yrs. I know my sushi. Very small pieces. Eel was thin and cold. Very expensive for what you get. One of the sushi makers no hat or hair net. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Upscale and oozy. Can’t say enough about Sam, our server. Personable, upbeat, friendly and professional. Went with his recommendations and he was spot on, When he recommends the Salmon appetizer, listen to him. Cocktails and entrees ultra delicious. Jared, the manager, stopped by our table, shows he cares about the business as if it were his own. Would definitely recommend to friends!
