    I wanted to really like this place. I couldn't get reservations at Club Paris for the night, so I found Jen's Restaurant. I was charmed by the fact that is was originally started by a Danish chef and that there are still Danish menu items on the menu. I also read many positive reviews, but I have to agree with the reviewers that say that this place is just okay - not great. The service was really very, very good (aside from not being greeted once we walked in the door) but our server was very good and did all the things a server is supposed to do in a fine dining establishment. It's really the food I take issue with. The most outstanding part of the meal was the calamari appetizer which was very, very good. Our entrees however, just weren't that great. My son ordered the ribeye, and I ordered the filet, and while they were both cooked properly, they came out kind of cold. The sauce on both of our plates had already cooled enough to create a "skin" or congeal just a bit. At a place that touts fine dining, I expect my food to be piping hot when it comes out and prepared perfectly. It just wasn't. Also, I felt like I needed to add salt. The steaks had not been pre-seasoned with salt or pepper at all. And the accompanying sauce was pretty flavorless. My husband ordered the pasta bolognese, and it was dry; very not saucy. He wasn't impressed. The whole experience felt a little like country club dining - high prices, fine-dining sounding menu, but the food was mediocre and pretty flavorless. Very disappointing! We won't return, and if we want a steak, we'll just wait for a table elsewhere in town.

    The food and service was outstanding as usual. We met the new owners. They are so nice and welcoming. I love that the people that work at Jen’s hasn’t changed with the new ownership nor the menu. I wish for them complete success! 💕

    We have been going to Jen’s for well over 12 years for every special occasion and in between. This was our last time to dine at Jen’s as we are relocating out of state. While I am sure that we will find other good places to eat, nothing will compare to the consistent; outstanding, service, food, and most of all the hospitality shown by the Owner/Chef, Nancy and our most favorite waiter, Lonnie! Jen’s you will be missed but never forgotten.

    Ravioli & soup rather than salad were delicious, we will do this again. My rockfish preparation is the best in town, and wife’s halibut was perfectly cooked, with mushroom white sauce complimenting it. Server Lonnie, and entire staff, took really good care of us.

    We went to dinner a Jen’s last night. We always make a reservation in the bar area. It’s a more relaxed atmosphere. We both had the special which was copper river king salmon. It was absolutely delicious. Presentation was beautiful! Our server Darryl was excellent as usual. I love going to a restaurant that the owner and servers greet you by name.

    Excellent food as always, this is our fancy dining night out place in Anchorage. Don’t let the strip mall location fool you, Jen was the best and those who took up his mantle have honored his elegant food legacy. Tonight we had rockfish, halibut and the white king salmon special. All were great. For locals: chicken fried steak isn’t on the summer menu as of 5/9/25.
