Very nice menu and right across the street from Pantages theater. Wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have been going there for over 4 years as my go-to for pre-theater dining!!!
We were staying at the W Hotel, and this restaurant is in it though it had a street entrance as well. We had theatre tickets for the Pantages across the street, so it was very convenient, which is why weI picked the W Hotel.
We ordered a few appetizers and entree’s.
Everything was exceptionally prepared and tasted great.
There is a 17% gratuity added to every bill.
I would dine here again
The food is decent, but overpriced. And they add a 20% gratuity, even on my party of 2. My son had a burger which was more that he could eat. But my salad was meager. Dessert was billed as a creme brulee but was really a pudding. No crispy sugar layer on top. $80 for lunch for 2 was too much for this quality of food.
Pre theatre lunch. Our food was delicious. We recommend it highly.
We look forward to our season tickets for the Pantages and always enjoy a fun lunch at Delphine's before the theater. The food is great and the specialty cocktails themed to the plays are a treat.
We go here regularly when we have tix at the Pantages. We liked it better the first few times we went - they had a killer steak sandwich on the bar menu that's no longer offered, and the bartenders (we like to sit at the bar) would allow us to watch Jeopardy and play along. The most recent visits, we've been told that the restaurant's policy is to only have sports events on the TVs. Guess participatory sports like TV games don't qualify. That said, the bar burger's tasty, and the lady bartender (whose name I haven't gotten yet) remembers I like iced tea and keeps my glass full. And the people watching is good.
Awesome, as always! Dinner before the theater is always wonderful!!
The food here is mediocre at best, but the service was terrible. When the waiter FINALLY stopped by to see how our dinner was, we politely reminded him he forgot the two sides we had ordered.
He then went and fired them so we could have them After our dinner! Really?
I’ll pass on returning...
OUR SERVER TARA WAS WONDERFUL. SHE WAS COURTEOUS, ATTENTIVE, AND FRIENDLY. HER SERVICE EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS.
Party of 4. 2 outstanding meals and 2 ordinary meals. great service. Convenient to the Pantages.
The food was very good. We all three had the Diver Scallops and were very pleased. We also had the Brussel Sprouts and the Truffle Fries. Yummy on both counts. Our server, Bethany was so sweet and good that we wanted to take her home with us. She felt like family. Loved the experience.
Have been coming since it opened, but the quality of the food has gone down since the change of chef and new menu options. Very convenient for pre-Pantages performances, but if the food continues to be this poor, we may have to go to another restaurant.
Everything was just ok. The menu was boring and we all had a didficult time deciding what to order.
Definitely short on staff the night we went. Had tix to Pantages at 6:30 and service was not good. Table of four next to us also had issues. Took a long time to get drink orders in and then wine order not delivered until we were half way through our meal. Food was good, but we were frustrated with service. Not sure we would go there again.
Food was uninspired, but good. Best location though for lunch, brunch before the show at the Pantages. Very quiet, relaxed and close.
Without a doubt, Delphine is a great place for a meal, before a performance, at the Pantages… it's right across the street. Good food and goo. service.
We went the Delphine after a show at Pantages. Service was fantastic, very aware of our schedule, our waitress mixed up a delicious virgin cocktail for us, really appreciated the attention to detail.
Great food & staff, always come before theatre at Pantages
Food was SO SO good, everyone in the party got something different, we especially enjoyed the banana curry puree on the halibut, delicious!
Loved the food and the drinks were excellent. Service was teriffic too!
Food was ok. Service was not. Gave ourselves 2 hr to have dinner before the theater (across the street). We informed our waiter. Took 30 min to get our food. Had to wave down someone to get our check. Had to go to hostess to get our waiter to return our credit cards. Just made it to the play.
Had been to Delphine pre-Pantages before and recall that to be fine. Sadly, this post-Pantages dinner experience was very disappointing. Server was awkward, food well below quality for the price.
We have theater tickets and went for a bite to eat before the show. It was very packed. The food choices were not my favorite but we had the most exquisite service. Very efficient and extremely friendly.
Service was good. Limited menu items to choose from. Caesar salad was good. Across from theatre but not worth the convenience for us.
Over priced for what you get but very convenient to the theater. Parking is too expensive as is the food. Otherwise, it's good. Probably better food and much better prices elsewhere if you don't mind a walk for a few blocks.
We have been to Delphine several times because it is convenient to the Pantages Theater directly across the street and their valet parking solves the parking problems for the evening. The food is good, though the menu doesn't give enough choices. I often have the Diver Scallops which are excellent, though the price is a bit higher than it should be. Actually, everything is a bit higher than it should be, but they have a captive audience and can get away with it. Their real problem has always been their service. It is well below "relaxed" and closer to "whenever". When you order something simple, like a beer, it takes 15 - 20 minutes before it arrives. The food service is the same way. I never like to be rushed, but this is too laid back. Our reservation was for 6:15 and we were lucky to make it into our seats at the Pantages for the 8:00 curtain.
Conveniently located at the base of the W Hotel in Hollywood and across the street from the Pantages Theater. I took my date here for dinner prior to catching an evening show. We were able to get in drinks and main entrees in, but unfortunately didn't have time for dessert. The seating areas felt very spacious and had views out into the courtyard of the hotel, and depending on your location also activity along Hollywood Boulevard. Obviously I picked this restaurant for proximity of walking to the theater, but it would likely be a fine choice for any other sort of celebration or casual dining option.
We had a delicious meal before going to the theater. We will definitely go back to Delphine!
Great food and ambiance!
Their multigrain bread is so delicious. I enjoyed the caesar salad with shrimp.
Great, relaxing dinner before a show at the Pantages. Celebrated a birthday, too!
Service was wonderful. We were there pre theatre. Nothing was rushed; came early took time between courses which meant we had time to savor our meals. Great experiebce!
Food was delicious and they had a great bartender. Yum Manhattan
Delphine is our regular stop before the Pantages. They've been changing menus, and our favorite steak sandwich is no longer on the menu, but the burger is an OK substitute. We used to be able to get the bartenders to switch to Jeopardy so we can play along (usually gets two or three groups playing along with us). But the last two times, the bar staff has either been unable to find channel 7 or told us nothing but sports is to play on the TVs. There's no "sport" in playing Jeopardy???
I have eaten here many times and each time it seems to get worse. Time before this the food was good but the service was terrible.
This time it was in reverse.
We had the $40 steak and they sort of cooked it correctly but the sauces that came with it were absolutely tasteless.
I am going to find a new place to go before the theater at The Pantages.
We went for an early dinner before theater. Waiter was good, wine list was so-so, two items from the menu were not available. Food was good, not great considering it is a hotel restaurant, in LA and still the weekend...
As always, Delphine delivered a wonderful dining experience! It is perfect for a pre/post-show dinner, a cozy date night and even girls day out! My friends had never eaten there and just loved every bite of their food. Thanks again, Delphine, for being reliably delicious!
Improved since last month . Just a great Hollywood hang out BUT parking is insane, and they raised their prices.
But,we still go because it's our tradition and the staff is GREAT!
