Well considering I made a reservation on open table and got a confirmation I assumed the place was open for business. We showed up and the place was not open. It was HORRIBLE to be with friends for a night out and need to make other pans. Open table needs to take closed restaurant off their site. I will not use open table again.

Our party of 7 arrived for our 8 pm New Year's Reservation to find out the restaurant was closed. We were then stuck with no dinner reservations on one of the busiest nights of the year.

We made reservations on Open Table for New Year's Eve at PAN. Imagine how upsetting it was to arrive at the darkened restaurant with a sign on the door saying "closed for business." Now I will forever distrust my Open Table reservations, not knowing if the restaurant is still in business.

I made a reservation for my boyfriend, parents and I for New Years Eve. When we arrived there was a sign on the door that read, "closed for business." I was not informed by Opentable and there was no notification on Pan's website. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. Because it was New Year's Eve, we were unable to dine at any other restaurant. They were all at capacity. We had to drive home to the other side of the city to eat, then drive back to Lawrenceville to attend a party two blocks from Pan. I hope that Pan has been removed from Opentable. All the best, Alexa

Following its opening in 2015, Pan had become one of my favorite restaurants. So while I had procrastinated a bit on the NYE dinner making reservations front, I was happy to discover that it had reservations available and was looking immensely forward to it. Well, imagine my surprise come NYE when I discover it completely black with a small piece of paper on the door saying it's closed. Restaurants close all the time, that's a sad reality. But the fact it closed and the owners couldn't bother to inform OpenTable, couldn't bother to post a message on their website, couldn't bother to be one ounce of PROFESSIONAL is beyond me. You completely ruined my NYE along with countless others judging from the many other disappointed reviews I've read here. The same people who own Pan also own the Andorra, Toscana Brick Oven, and Buford's restaurants and all I can say is I will be boycotting from going to any of them and I hope you'll do the same. Pittsburgh has enough other restaurants that deserve your dining dollars a whole lot more than a restaurant group who acted entirely unprofessional. You'd expect this behavior from some random, independently owned eatery. Nope-this is the behavior from a restaurant group that owns three other restaurants.

I made a reservation for my fiancé's birthday on NYE, but when I showed up it was closed. I checked their website, Facebook, and even tried to order food using their online service and nothing alluded to them being closed. I can only assume the other 17 reservations booked for the same day were met with the same "closed for business" sign. Luckily Brillobox on Penn was open and made everything better.

Pan has been a favorite gathering spot for our friends for quite some time now. Sadly, we arrived only to find the establishment completely closed. I'm not sure if they are permanently closed or if there was an emergency. However, having a large party it put a kink in the evenings plans and nearly ruined a surprise birthday event.

Open Table accepted the reservation for 4 people at 7 PM but PAN was closed and dark. Very disappointing! We tried to get in Piccolo Forno but the wait was an hour, so we went to Tender. We had guests from out of town so this was a disaster. Call the restaurant before you go.

Being a member of the AARP community was reluctant to make an online reservation. Upon arriving at Pan for a Christmas celebration we discovered it was closed for business. Having only made the reservations 48 hours earlier imagine our surprise and disappointment when we arrived. We had to even received a confirmation from Open Table. Needless to say I don't think I'll be leaving my family celebrations in your hands again.

My husband and I dined there on a Thursday evening. I haven't been here since it changed to Pan. We were greeted very warmly by the host/server. He was extremely friendly and knew the menu well. Service was outstanding! My husband started with the Edamame Hummus. It was very good. Loved the sweet plantain chips with the drizzle of truffle oil. Then we ordered the PanThai and I had the Gobi Cashew Masala Curry. Both were very good. I would definitely return!

We had a great time at PAN. I ordered a dragonfruit cocktail. The server was out of dragonfruit but made me one from fresh cactus pear. YUM. My husband had saketini and liked it alot. We had the guyoza which were delicious. and I had the chirasi bowl. The sashimi was excellent. We need to remember to go to PAN more often.

the food was way too spicy, no vegetables in the stir fry, greasy. the Shrimp tempura as no tempura, no batter surrounding the tiny tiny shrimp. Our Martinis were watered down for $10.00 each ......

We went on a quiet Sunday evening (4:30 Steeler game) so we had much of the place to ourselves. Decor is well done. Service was delightful and helpful. Our meal - dumpling appetizer, small sushi, 2 bowls couldn't have been better and they made it HOT just like we asked for. Will be going back soon.

Had a birthday gathering for 4 people. Even the 2 in our party who aren't adventuresome diners really enjoyed the bar and food menu. The rice bowl dishes are very ample and very tasty. Such a creative Asian food menu.

Dark and noisy. Food is simple and not very tasty. The one Makki I order was mushy and greasy, I woud not waist my time going back or recommend this place to any one. Service was good, would no overcome the mediocrity of the food

My main reason for recommending it is that the food is outstanding. Every single thing we ordered was great. Do not leave without having a Lobster Monkey sushi roll -- best sushi roll I've ever had, unique and outstanding.

The food and service were adequate. For some reason we were seated right next to the only other guests which was kind of awkward. We were glad that a/c wasn't working great because we don't like being cold.

What better way to spend a summer evening than strolling along Butler Street in Lawrenceville, so thought we'd try somewhere new for dinner - searching on Open Table discovered Pan and so glad we did! The prices are good for the portions so don't be put off by the price tag. My family members are vegetarians, so was happy to recommend Pan to them. Although I'm not a vegetarian, opted for the tofu dish and it was incredible. The Mister got the drunken noodle, and even with his healthy appetite he had a hard time finishing his dish - seriously big portions! He too was impressed with the quality of the ingredients. We were there early for a weekend date, so there were only two other tables. It's an intimate setting, so even with so few people it was still pleasant. The service was ok - not bad but certainly not impressive. Not enough to deter us from returning :) we'll be back.

it was my first time there. I'd wanted to dine outside but it had just rained so we ate indoors, upstairs. The music was very loud. We asked for it to be lowered but were told that it was meant to be loud & energetic, so we had to speak loudly over it. The waiter was a bit arrogant explaining that this wasn't meant to be fine dining, but for a cool hispter crowd. Oh well, I guess we weren't cool enough The food was ok, but not that special. I had the noodle green curry bowl. It was large, I took half home. Some of the veggies were in very large pieces and not cooked through. I might go back, eat outside and try different menu items. But their hipster recipe is bothersome.

Basically, korean plates, sushi and rice bowls. Great options. Sushi was overpriced but done well. Plates and bowls were a good value. We just missed happy hour Sunday to 3 pm that offered 1/2 price drinks and small plates. Would have been great for a light lunch.
