   We sat downstairs and it was so noisy you couldn't think. It was also very hot. We were there before upstairs and it wasn't as noisy and the service was good. It was our 49th anniversary and a disappointment.

   Lucca was fabulous. The host was friendly and welcoming, our waiter did not rush us at all and helped us with our menu choices. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully plated. The side room that we were in was quiet, but the entrance and bar area was bustling and louder. You will not be making a mistake with Lucca. Highly recommend!

   Second time here. Food and service consistently good. Laina our server was friendly and attentive. Her recommendations were spot on. We had the prosciutto wrapped. Watermelon appetizer...[which was a special].., beef carpaccio, house made garganelli Pasta. /wild boar ragu. And the house made parpadeli/braized chicken. The dishes were delicious. Each dish was elevated to be amazing. Topped it off within an espresso martini and a lemoncello.

   We had a wonderful meal at Luccas, celebrating my son‘s 25th birthday, and they put us at a table at the open front window and sent him over a nice little chocolate dessert with a candle. The food, the service, and the ambience was outstanding.

    Another great day in the north end. Walked 2 hours around Boston and then stopped in Lucca North End on Hanover street with my family. Amazing authentic Italian food, service, and location. If you are on Hanover Street you have to stop into Lucca. Squid, calamari and Garganelli Pasta, Wild Boar Ragu is an amazing meal. 5-star food cooked so different than every other restaurant. Sautéed Calamari, San Marzano Tomatoes, Spinach, Pepperonata, Chili Flakes, Grilled House-Made Focaccia Grilled Octopus, Tri-Color Potatoes, Cipollini Onions, Cacciatore, Vodka House-Made Garganelli Pasta, Wild Boar Ragu, Grana Padano,Roasted Red and Yellow Pepper

    We were in a little bit of a time crunch and informed our waiter in advance. He assured us he would make sure we were on our way with time to spare. He was spot on. Always a good experience when we dine here. Great food, great service.

    Lucca has a beautiful and delicious plate of food for everyone and every taste. Meat, Seafood, Pasta - what is your pleasure? You can't go wrong here. Service is also wonderful, as is the wine selection, and the entire experience is a "10" in my book. I can't wait to come back to try several more menu items!

    Food and service was great; we especially enjoyed the broiled octopus appetizer and the gnocchi and short rib appetizer. I loved the shrimp and linguine dish. We've been here before and will return many many times again.

    As always, the service was terrific. many thanks to Ted, Mathew, Sean and the entire team. We've been coming to Lucca since it opened and it never disappoints. Tonight, the food quality was superb. Our group had several different dishes, but notables were the Arugula salad, the octopus appetizer the scallop entre, and of course, the bolagnese. I had the pork chop and it was delicious, especially the apple and sweat potato accompaniment. Desserts always appreciated and the server team was excellent. You will never be disappointed here.

    Our dinner was amazing. The braised ribs appetizer was wonderfully textured and tasty. We had fresh linguine with pan seared shrimp (my wife), seared scallops (my daughter) and seared halibut fillet. All are so fresh - my wife said she love the 'tender chewiness' of her fresh linguine. The pièce de résistance was the tiramisu, so well balanced, moist but not soaked, best we've ever had. It was a dinner that were so scrumptious and ambrosial. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive yet unobtrusive A memorable experience of taste and ambiance.

    Last minute early dinner reservations. Active bar and full house. Good service - staff was attentive and offered helpful recommendations although we had to ask for cheese, serving spoons, etc. Baked Orchiette with truffle oil was a new experience for us and was delightful. Meatball appetizers were tasty and Arugula salad had a terrific dressing too. Tried one Arneis white on the menu and it was extra good.     Starts off with this green crap they serve with bread. I think it’s a pea mixture? The food wasn’t good at all. Our waitress got my drink order wrong twice. And then my dinner order as well! Won’t be going back here!

    Food was amazing as always. Had a reservation at 6:30 but got there at 6 and they seated us immediately no questions asked. We also had some pastry boxes and they offered to put them in the fridge for us. My family doesn’t speak English and our waiter explained the menu to them in Spanish. Incredible service. If you’re looking for an amazing meal with incredible service and a gorgeous restaurant. This is your place!!!

    Food was amazing, service was great. The Caesar salad is so good especially the croutons. The nut free pesto and bread was yummy. Personally didn’t love the meatballs but the salmon and linguine shrimp were fantastic.

    I brought my grandmother and her housemate here while in town from NC. My friend, Casey, who works the bar recommended it :) the food and drinks wete fantastic, our server was attentive and helpful and the ambiance was wonderful. It was a beautiful night in Boston so the windows were open which we loved. The valet service was also very quick which I appreciated :) overall, I fabulous experience. I hadn’t been to Lucca in a long time since I moved out of Boston to Providence. It will definitely not be so long before I go back for another meal. And seeing Casey is always such a treat! My grandmother was extremely pleased as well which was the important thing :)) thanks guys!

    Outstanding visit to Lucca Lucca is our go-to restaurant, if you are on Hanover Street in the heart of the North End. A must visit if you are a tourist or a local going out for a night on the town. Authentic Italian food. Great quality, value for money, service and ambience. Also, has a great bar, if that is what you are looking for in a night out. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy. 👍😀

    Still my favorite place in the North End. Want to comment on what we ate: Duck Tart: what happened to the old recipe. This one was heavy and the crust was hard. Not flaky like previous versions. Lobster Bisque: excellent Branzino: delicious but a little pricey Gnocchi with short ribs: light and fluffy, delicious Warm chocolate cake: delicious Place could use a little refurbish. Been coming for many years. Needs a bit of a face lift.
