   Outstanding in every way! The view is the best in Kauai. The food is excellent and the service is impeccable. This is what you expect from fine dining!

   The terrace in late afternoon with a cocktail waiting for sunset looking at the Napili coast with music playing is the perfect way to wind down. The view cannot be beat.

   Both restaurants at the Princeville Resort were our favorites on this vacation. The Makana also serves as their breakfast venue and is a delightful way to start the day and arguably the best breakfast buffet we have had anywhere in the Hawaian islands, an amazing buffet with all the usual hot choices, tropical fruit spread, a cooking station for custom omelets, small ramekins with fish, rice and egg on top, tropical juices, drinking vinegars and Kombucha and much more. The setting is overlooking Hanalei bay and the northernmost spires of the NaPali coast which beautifully catch the morning sun and then the warm glow of the evening sunset. We had dinner there one night and again were delighted with the quality of the fish, salads, and the service. The staff are particularly personable and efficient. Highly recommended.

   The view was incredible and the food was amazing. We were there for the New Year’s Eve buffet. Definitely a place for very special occasions!

   Have been here many times over the last ten years at the hotel and the restaurant but was disappointed with the quality of the food good but not at the level of the past, service has also suffered since the sale, now no longer the St Regis. Of course the physical setting on the terrace over looking Hanalei Bay and the Nepali coast is easily one of the most spectacular settings anywhere, check the photo

    The best thing about the restaurant was the view. We went as hotel guests to celebrate our honeymoon. The food was just okay - my husband had the steak, which he enjoyed. I had the ahi tuna, which was a giant cold steak of tuna with briefly seared sesame seeds. I love tuna rare as well as sushi - but no steak of tuna should ever be cooked like that. It was very cold in the center and the only sear was on the coating. It was difficult to even cut. Our wine was ordered with our appetizers but delivered only after we had finished our entrees. We spent over $250 on a just okay dinner - not great. The service was irregular and inattentive. People who worked there did not seem happy to be there. Strange experience and not recommended.
