   The service, food and ambience were wonderful! It was our anniversary and they gave us a slice of key lime pie to take home. It was a very nice surprise. We will 100% go back.

   Incredible experience, the red snapper was one of the best prepared fish dishes I’ve ever had.

   Loved everything! Food was amazing & we got lucky & sat by a window overlooking the lagoon. Manager/host was sooo nice! First visit but plan to return when in town.

   Great food. Nice ambience seated along the expansive window fronting on the small pond. A bit pricey. Slow service.

   During our recent visit to Hilton Head, we had the pleasure of dining at Alexander’s Restaurant & Wine Bar, a charming and inviting spot nestled off the main road in Palmetto Dunes. Known for its coastal-inspired cuisine and upscale yet relaxed atmosphere, Alexander’s delivered a satisfying and enjoyable experience from start to finish. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and seated promptly in a cozy, softly lit dining room that strikes a nice balance between refined and casual. The service throughout the evening was attentive without being overbearing — our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and well-versed in the menu and wine list. Speaking of wine, Alexander’s offers an impressive selection, with a well-curated list that complements their menu nicely. Whether you’re looking for a crisp white to pair with seafood or a bold red for a hearty entrée, you’ll find something to suit your taste without straying into overpriced territory. To start, we ordered the scallops. While they were slightly overcooked — just a touch firmer than ideal — they were still flavorful and well-seasoned, plated with care and paired with a light, balanced sauce that brought the dish together. For mains, I opted for the prime rib, which arrived cooked to a perfect medium rare and sliced generously. It was tender, savory, and satisfying — a classic done right. My wife chose the evening’s special, which featured pimento cheese grits. She absolutely loved them, describing them as rich, creamy, and full of Southern character. The portion size was just right, and the flavors hit a great balance between comfort food and culinary flair. We capped off the meal with a shared slice of key lime pie. Tangy, smooth, and not overly sweet, it was a refreshing end to a rich meal and one of the better versions we’ve had in the Lowcountry. Prices at Alexander’s are very reasonable for the quality of the food, service, and ambiance. It feels like a fine dining experience without the fine dining price

   Another delicious dinner at Alexander’s! Beautiful setting overlooking a quiet canal complete with ospreys, gorgeous oaks and sunlight glinting off the water. Be sure to ask for a window table. I had one the specials, which are always yummy — lightly blackened local flounder and grilled shrimp with tomato rice and broccolini, oh my! My starter was Massachusetts oysters on the half shell, pretty small but quite briny, so no complaints from me! My husband had his favorite shrimp app and wiener schnitzel, his go to at Alexander’s, with enough to bring home for tomorrow. Our server Dave was excellent, as always. Alexander’s menu offers lots of options, but for me one of the local seafood choices always wins, and I’ve never been disappointed. Enjoy!

    Table was ready server (Elizabeth) was excellent & very friendly, all appetizers were great . Main courses were very good . It was my wife’s birthday and they gave us a dessert to go .
